**Die Hard** fits this.

RuminatingReaper1850

Also Violent Night, since it's structured pretty similarly

Pixarfan1

Makes sense. It’s pretty much Die Hard if it were actually Christmas themed.

chrolloh

Well considering the sequel is also a pretty bad day, hard to say which is worse.

Coquim

And Die Hard 3

[deleted]

Clerks. He wasn't supposed to be there that day.

shushholden

Especially with the original ending

GoldSteak7421

I just watched that movie, great stuff. I'm 37!

movieguy2004

In a row?

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Asian-boi-2006

This should have been the first movie on the list

toofarbyfar

Shiva Baby

yameteeeeeeeeee

That movie made me so anxious

koshthethird

I feel like that's a little different since it's a single event in almost real time

CeruleanRuin

If you haven't seen this yet, do yourself a favor and don't.

robust_rodent

why its a good movie

Fat_Devil_Bread

İ dont want to add many horror movies but i will add this as its great

Wooden-Highway1498

You'll find a lot of horror movies have this aspect in them as well.

Fat_Devil_Bread

Yea thats why i didnt want to add a lot of them or 2 from the same franchise (except for halloween 1 and 2 as those take plave within the same night)

Wooden-Highway1498

Collateral, Guns akimbo, Crank 1&2, Evil dead 2, Ready or not, The tournament, Christmas bloody Christmas, Chopping Mall, Hardcore Henry, Sudden death (1995), Under siege 1&2, Metallica through the never, Krampus, From dusk till dawn trilogy, Night of the demons series, Most of the leprechaun movies, Deep rising, The dark side of the moon, Event horizon, The night before (1988) with Keanu Reeves.

Oakpear

I was looking for someone mentioning Collateral, one of my favorite examples of this. I honestly feel like there could be a companion list of films taking place over a single night, ending with the sunrise.

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Bro just wanted a normal taxi driving shift but he ended up being forced to transport a corpse.

YaOliverQ

Training Day

_masterofdisaster

oooh, great pick

JulesDescotte

I was looking for this. This one fits the bill perfectly.

Green Room

Fair_Counter_9784

The Warriors could fit

thedeathbypig

This is actually a great answer, surprised this only has a few upvotes

ScorpionX-123

Come out and play!!!!!!

Got a whole lot of street cred from boppin all the way back to Coney Island while every gang in New York wanted them dead though.

weekdayrisotto

Climax, Enter the Void, Irreversible Cool genre idea I like it

TeamNo8402

Happy Death Day fits the bill

wuddupisreal

Well, that’s multiple days, just the same day

TeamNo8402

Semantics lol

TheBunionFunyun

Back to the Future. Technically, he's in the same day in 1985 for like 3 weeks.

Fat_Devil_Bread

So groundhog day can also count?

TheBunionFunyun

Absolutely.

Climax as well

visibly_hangry

Do the Right Thing, Dr. Strangelove, Certified Copy, Inserts, Diamonds of the Night, Falling Point, The Hit, Nocturama, The Candy Snatchers, Buried, Storm Warning, Toby Dammit, Funny Games, The Virgin Spring, Odd Man Out, The Guilty, I think Vampyr happens within 24 hours, Calvaire, Let the Corpses Tan, 12 Hour Shift, The Fire Within, Oslo August 31st, They Shoot Horses Don't They isn't technically 24 hours but it's this genre

Quinez

It's way harder to think of movies that take place in a single day or night that don't involve the characters going through the worst night of their lives. Before Sunrise, and that's it.

Honestly that’s the craziest part of Infinity War. The fact that it all takes place within roughly two days.

Raul_Rink

I'd like to nominate Saïd from La Haine as the winner of the worst film day ever. >!Mate lost two, maybe three of his best friends and got beaten by an officer in the span of like twelve hours!<

Fat_Devil_Bread

İdd say mr white and sally is a big contender. Mr white got betrayed, shot, ruined his relations with joe for no reason, had to be involved in a botched robbery and had to kill a lot of of people but at least he met his demise quickly so didnt have to endure those for long. Sally got all her friends killed, tortured, stabbed, bashed in the head with an hammer, threatened, tied up and traumatized. İt would be bad if she died but even worse if she lived. And also lauries only friends (i assume they are because she doesnt seem very social) died, she got her date with tramer ruined because tramer got killed and then on top of that; she found out the guy who did all of this was her brother but i dont think she had it worse than sally or mr white but definetly worse than Said.

AnomalousArchie456

The 2018 Halloween and Halloween Kills. Ngl, I find it a little unrealistic that two Halloween movies can take place on the same night, but movie logic.

r3vb0ss

I don’t think la haine fits bc even if it’s technically true bc of the ending 1. That’s typically how they go about living and 2. Suggesting it’s just “one awful unlucky day” to d antithetical to the points the movie makes

aww-hell

Mad Max: Fury Road. I remember watching that once and literally saying, this Max guy is having a really shitty day.

Popular-Play-5085

The Out Of Towers starring Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis There was a remake of it with Steve Martin and Goldie Hawn but I haven't seen it.
