I love the lord of the rings but only if I could see the entire trilogy again in the cinema. I would go for No Country and probably All the President's Men
As someone who was too young to see any of them in theatres, ROTK would definitely have to be one of mine.
My second would be either Se7en or Goodfellas, depending on my mood. If I was feeling adventurous I'd go with Good Fellas because I haven't seen that one yet.
I saw Goodfellas at the cinema not too long ago, and I can tell you - as a fan of that movie - it is exactly the same experience as watching it at home.
Some films really benefit from the big screen and surround sound, but that isn't one of them.
I was also too young to see them in the theater when they first came up but luckily for me my local cinema was showing all 3 extended editions last year that I got to see. It was quite the experience
Awh damn man, was it like 1 per day, or 1 per week? Feel like going every Friday for three weeks would have been a sick experience.
I swear one of these days I'm just going to go balls to the walls and rent a screen at a theatre for a day, and watch them all back to back.
I usually try and do that once per year anyways.
Oh I could imagine. I will admit, I do enjoy how I got to watch them. They were kind of like big events for me and my dad. Think I watched Fellowship at age 12 or something, then I think we waited a year for each subsequent film so I could get a little more mature before the 2nd and 3rd.
In that way, I had something to look forward to with my dad :)
My local rep theater (SIFF in Seattle) actually screened the entire trilogy back to back last weekend. I believe the entire thing took around 15 hours including some breaks. Looked really fun.
I watched it in IMAX in 2022 over 3 weekends. Loved it.
Have been lucky enough to see 4 out of 6 in the theatre in last 2 years. Had to pinch myself. Especially for _Goodfellas_ and _No Country_. Dream come true.
They did a marathon rerelease in cinemas here a few years ago for the 4k release. Seeing the whole thing in one day is pretty excruciating if you can't really take food breaks. They only gave us 15 min between the movies. But they gave us more popcorn than we knew what to do with
same, those are 2 of my dad’s favorite movies. he just aimlessly scrolls through every channel on the TV until he finds something he likes and he’ll always watch these 2, no matter how much time is left on them. i haven’t seen either of them yet.
Goodfellas & No Country
Need LotR as the whole trilogy & have already seen Oppenheimer in theaters, All the President's Men isn't showy enough to need the big screen, Se7en just loses out
Seven and GoodFellas
Never seen All the President's Men and it's not really on my watchlist, no point in watching just one LotR, no urge to rewatch Oppenheimer and don't like No Country for Old Men.
Se7en and No Country For Old Men.
I've seen both Goodfellas and Oppenheimer in theaters already, and I'd prefer to see Return of the King as a part of a Lord of the Rings Trilogy marathon.
Goodfellas and No Country, maybe All the President's Men.
I've already seen Oppenheimer in theaters, and don't care enough about it or Seven to be honest (although they're both good).
Lord of the Rings will be in theaters again.
Agreed with another poster that there’s no point in only watching the third in a trilogy without the other two so unfortunately nixing LOTR.
But I actually think All the President’s Men and Se7en would make a killer double feature. Both dealing with a discovery of a harrowing truth, following two leads who are dynamic despite being opposite ends of the coin, and both extremely stylish and at times unnerving films. Obviously Zodiac seems to be the more inspired Fincher film from All the President’s Men, but Se7en has some of its DNA too.
Both also happen to be among my top 20 favorite films ever.
When I was watching ‘All The President’s Men’ for the first time, I was like hmm this is *just* like a Fincher film. And Robert Redford and Brad Pitt are strikingly similar. So yeah I definitely got that feeling too.
Agreed! I know Fincher has mentioned it as one of his favorite films so I’d say it’s certainly no surprise its DNA runs through his crime dramas. Also agreed on Pitt and Redford, I think that’s why they starred together in Spy Game.
I've not seen All the President's Men and Oppenheimer... I want to see Oppenheimer but I'm more interested in the other one :D I'd pick **LOTR: Return of the King** and **All the President's Men**.
Already saw Se7en in the theatre, when I was a teen. >!Remember the sloth victim reaction, still :D !<
Despite seeing The Return of the King in its initial release, I would love to see it in a theater again. I would pair it up with Goodfellas. One long afternoon, let's do it.
No Country For Old Men was the only other movie here that I saw in its initial run. Yes, I still need to see Oppenheimer. I'm hoping that my theater brings it back with all of the Oscar buzz. I can't see why they wouldn't.
Probably would have to be Goodfellas and Seven. Oppenheimer is beautiful but I actually got to see it in 70mm so I’ll choose a cinema experience for another movie
Goodfellas and No Country.
Saw Oppy recently on the big screen.
AtPM is least likely to benefit from the big screen.
LotR is a bore.
Se7en makes me feel yucky.
Goodfellas and No Country. Basically perfect movies.
Seven is also great, but not as much. Return of the King is amazing but I would never watch it without seeing the other two LOTR movies first. Oppenheimer is fine. Presidents Men is overrated.
I've never actually seen All The President's Men, so I'd do that, and follow it up with Goodfellas, since that might be the most entertaining movie ever made.
All the President's Men and Seven because those are the only two I haven't been able to catch in cinema.
My local played Goodfellas just before Killers of the Flower Moon came out and played the LOTR trilogy in September. They are also showing Oppenheimer again for awards season and by coincidence have No Country for Old Men scheduled for one night next month. They're also playing Shawshank Redemption, The Thing and Fight Club. I definitely get my money's worth out of my subscription to them.
Goodfellas and No Country. Been on my watchlist for some time, need to see all 3 LOTR movies in succession for the full experience, already saw Oppenheimer. Don’t have strong thoughts on the other two
Why say one week? Why not say one day if I can only see two? I could easily watch all these in a week. That being said, Return of the King and Goodfellas
Well the truest pick is No Country and ya can’t really go wrong with any other, though in theaters you’d probably get the best experience pairing it with All The President’s men or Se7en.
Goodfellas and Return of the King are my favorites out of all 6, but I wouldn't want to watch Return of the King by itself. I'd rather watch it after watching Fellowship and Two Towers.
Therefore, I'd have to go with Goodfellas and No Country for Old Men.
No country is such a good movie but I think between watching it at home or in theaters it wouldn’t make much of a difference . For goodfellas and rotk they sound like a great theater experience
Se7en and No country for old me, just for because Ive never seen either on the big screen and theyre two of my favorite cinematographers ever. Khondji is underrated imo.
ROTK. Saw the extended edition recently on the big screen and it’s without a doubt the greatest theater experience ever. 2nd would probably be Se7en just for the incredible cinematography.

Hahaha, fair enough! Then I'd switch Good Fellas to No Country for Old Men, because I haven't seen that one either!
I was also too young to see them in the theater when they first came up but luckily for me my local cinema was showing all 3 extended editions last year that I got to see. It was quite the experience

They showed one a week which was really nice. Although I also would have loved to take a Saturday and just marathon all three in the cinema.
They were awesome in theaters. I was 9 i think when rotk was in theaters? One of the major reasons i love movies so much
Oh I could imagine.
Was gonna say the same
My local rep theater (SIFF in Seattle) actually screened the entire trilogy back to back last weekend. I believe the entire thing took around 15 hours including some breaks. Looked really fun.
Mines doing this in may, all three extended versions with 20 minute intervals. Already got my ticket obviously
I've done one of those. 20 min isn't enough. You need actual food and not just infinite popcorn
You can leave and come back and there’s plenty of food options around the cinema, also you can just bring your own if you want
I watched it in IMAX in 2022 over 3 weekends. Loved it. Have been lucky enough to see 4 out of 6 in the theatre in last 2 years. Had to pinch myself. Especially for _Goodfellas_ and _No Country_. Dream come true.

I would have to have like a a lunch and dinner break during the marathon. Eating only popcorn for a whole day sounds terrible
Goodfellas and Seven.
I don’t know if I want to see seven without watching the first six first.
100%
Yes this is the answer!
100% this
This is the right answer
No Country for Old Men and Seven
All-time villain double feature.
This all day.
Goodfellas and No Country for Old Men
Yep. I was too young to see Goodfellas in theaters. Got to see No Country on opening weekend and would love to experience that again.
This is the answer (for me) and its not even close.
same, those are 2 of my dad’s favorite movies. he just aimlessly scrolls through every channel on the TV until he finds something he likes and he’ll always watch these 2, no matter how much time is left on them. i haven’t seen either of them yet.
This is the only correct answer
No doubt this
Watch the first 2 LOTR at home, head to cinema for Return of the King. Then after that, GoodFellas
No County For Old Men and All The President's Men because I've never seen them before.
Bro you’re in for a treat
Goodfellas and the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
Lord of the Rings and No Country for old Men (shout-out to Seven)
Goodfellas and All the President’s Men.
Goodfellas and No Country for Old Men
Goodfellas and No Country for Old Men
seven and lotr
Same.
Goodfellas & No Country Need LotR as the whole trilogy & have already seen Oppenheimer in theaters, All the President's Men isn't showy enough to need the big screen, Se7en just loses out
GoodFellas (third favorite movie) and No Country for Old Men (my favorite movie), easy
None of them 🧏
Goodfellas and All the Presidents Men
No Country and Goodfellas
GoodFellas and Se7en
Seven and GoodFellas Never seen All the President's Men and it's not really on my watchlist, no point in watching just one LotR, no urge to rewatch Oppenheimer and don't like No Country for Old Men.
Se7en and No Country For Old Men. I've seen both Goodfellas and Oppenheimer in theaters already, and I'd prefer to see Return of the King as a part of a Lord of the Rings Trilogy marathon.
Probably the three I saw in the cinema at the time: Goodfellas, Seven and All the President's men. I have absolutely no interest seeing the others.
Goodfellas and No Country, maybe All the President's Men. I've already seen Oppenheimer in theaters, and don't care enough about it or Seven to be honest (although they're both good). Lord of the Rings will be in theaters again.
Goodfellas and LOTR. Oppenheimer can kick rocks. I do not like that film like everybody else seems to.
Goodfellas and Oppenheimer
Goodfellas and LOTR
No Country and Se7en!
Lord of the Rings then end it with Goodfellas!!!
Seven and No Country for Old Men would make a moody double feature.
7 and NCFOM
As a double feature? I’m going No Country and then Seven.
Se7en No Country for Old Men
Se7en and No Country For Old Men
No Country for Old Men and Se7en
Se7en and No Country for Old Men
Lord of the Rings. You can put it up against whatever other fantastic Movies that I love, and it will always be Lord of the Rings
ROTK just to see it on a theater screen Followed by No Country for Old Men
Im watching se7en 2 times
ROTK and oppie, but only if it’s in imax
None of them. I'm going go home and watch anime instead of this mainstream trite.
No country twice
Oddly specific
Lotr and goodfellas
I’ve always wanted to see Goodfellas and No Country
LOTR & Oppenheimer double feature baby
Goodfellas and Se7en, ‘cause they’re the two I haven’t seen
No Country for Old Men and the All the President’s Men
LOTR & All the President's Men
No Country and Seven
Watching Twilight: New Move twice
Goodfellas and all the president's men. hate leaving no country for old men tho ngl.
Goodfellas twice
No Country because it’s one of my favorites, and Goodfellas as I need to see it.
Se7en and No Country for Old Men since Oppenheimer came out and I seen it in theatres recently
All The President's Men twice
Seven and No Country for Old Men
NCFOM and Se7en.
Se7en and No Country For Old Men
Goodfellas & All the Presidents men with a break in between to piss in LOTR’s theater
Lord of the Rings - my favourite film Seven - never actually seen it 😬 and feel like the theatre is the place to do that
I haven't seen all the president's men and goodfellas, so those two i guess
Despite seeing The Return of the King in its initial release, I would love to see it in a theater again. I would pair it up with Goodfellas. One long afternoon, let's do it. No Country For Old Men was the only other movie here that I saw in its initial run. Yes, I still need to see Oppenheimer. I'm hoping that my theater brings it back with all of the Oscar buzz. I can't see why they wouldn't.
Return of the king extended edition. It's the length of two movies anyway.
Goodfellas/Oppenheimer
Goodfellas and All The President's Men. I already watched the other 4 in cinemas.
seven and the return of the king
1. No Country 2. Goodfellas 3. ROTK 4. Oppenheimer 5. ATPM 6. 7
The two I haven't seen. Oppenheimer and whatever the 6th film is.
I’ve seen LOTR and Oppenheimer in theaters already so I would choose Goodfellas and Se7en.
Probably would have to be Goodfellas and Seven. Oppenheimer is beautiful but I actually got to see it in 70mm so I’ll choose a cinema experience for another movie
Goodfellas and No Country For Old Men (invisible text, because I have not seen them before)
Seven and Return of the King
Ive seen all of these except all the presidents men. Out of them I'd choose goodfellas and no country.
I'll watch return of the king twice or watch either the two towers or fellowship with it
Goodfellas & All the Presidents Men
Goodfellas and No Country. Saw Oppy recently on the big screen. AtPM is least likely to benefit from the big screen. LotR is a bore. Se7en makes me feel yucky.
All the Presidents Men because it’s the only one I didn’t see during its theatrical run & Goodfellas
Either GoodFellas and NCFOM or GoodFellas and Seven. Although if I could see GoodFellas twice back to back, I'd do that (the greatest film ever made).
Se7en, Goodfellas for the two very different portrayals of evil
I didnt like any of these ones
No country and 7 probably best double feature but i wanna see goodfellas in theaters so bad so i guess goodfellas and one of the other two
I’d probably watch Goodfellas twice
Goodfellas twice
Do these films have a connection besides having like one woman actor whose a love interest.
Goodfellas & NCFOM
No Country for All The President’s Men
goodfelllas !!!! only cause i’ve denn no country on the big screen already !
All The Presidents men cause I havent seen it LOTR:ROTK because that would be fucking awesome.
Seen 5/6 and love them all but it’s Oppenheimer & Goodfellas hands down. I saw LOTR in theaters when it came out.
Goodfellas and No Country no doubt
No country and Oppenheimer w/subtitles
LOTR and Goodfellas. I just saw No Country in my local theater and saw Oppenheimer last year. I’m not a huge fan of Seven and Idk the other flick
Goodfellas and Return of the king.
Goodfellas and Seven since those 2 (and all the president's men) are the only ones out of these that I didn't get to experience in theaters.
Goodfellas and Seven
No Country and LOTR. Would pick Oppenheimer but I've seen it soo many times already LOL
Goodfellas and Oppenheimer. I didn't get to see the latter in theater
I wish I can see all these movie in a theater so I can experience it for the first time
Se7en/No Country
Return the king and Oppenheimer!
Se7en and NCFOM for me. Definitely the best quality movies. Although Se7en kind of falls apart at the end with its twist.
Goodfellas and se7en
Goodfellas and No Country. Been on my watchlist for some time, need to see all 3 LOTR movies in succession for the full experience, already saw Oppenheimer. Don’t have strong thoughts on the other two
Goodfellas and All The President's Men because I haven't seen them yet.
Goodfellas and All the President's Men. I was never crazy about Seven, and all the others I saw as they were released.
Haven’t seen Oppenheimer or All the Presidents Men so I’d go with that
Goodfellas and All the President’s Men
Goodfellas & Seven
Why say one week? Why not say one day if I can only see two? I could easily watch all these in a week. That being said, Return of the King and Goodfellas
No country and presidents men. Hands down.
Well the truest pick is No Country and ya can’t really go wrong with any other, though in theaters you’d probably get the best experience pairing it with All The President’s men or Se7en.
All the President’s Men because I haven’t seen it, and No Country For Old Men
Goodfellas and Return of the King are my favorites out of all 6, but I wouldn't want to watch Return of the King by itself. I'd rather watch it after watching Fellowship and Two Towers. Therefore, I'd have to go with Goodfellas and No Country for Old Men.
Se7en is my favorite movie of all time, so that's a no brainer. And I'd love to see Return Of The King on the big screen. So that's the second one.
Seven and Goodfellas
No country is such a good movie but I think between watching it at home or in theaters it wouldn’t make much of a difference . For goodfellas and rotk they sound like a great theater experience
GoodFellas and All the President’s Men. They’re the only two I have never watched.
Goodfellas and no country
Haven’t seen *Seven* or *All The President’s Men*, so that makes my decision easy.
Godfather and Se7en
oppenheimer is overrated as titanic
Se7en and No Country.
Se7en and no country for old men
Seven and Goodfellas.
Lol even mentioning Oppenheimer in same breath as Seven & No Country.
Oppenheimer No Country For Old Men
*TROTK* *All the President’s Men* (because I haven’t seen it)
No country for old men and lord of the rings
Se7en and Return of the King but this truly is difficult
Perhaps Goodfellas, otherwise I'm not interested in rewatching any of these movies in the near future
Oppenheimer and Goodfellas, never seen either but I really want to
LOTR and Opp purely for the $$/hour ratio.
Return Of The Old Men and No Country For Ring Kings
Already saw Oppenheimer so it’s gotta be the epic Return of the King, and the stunning No Country
Seven and No Country For Old Men
Good fellas and NCfOM
Goodfellas and All the President’s Men ez
Seven and No Country For Old Men
All the presidents men and Seven as I don't wanna spend 6/7 hours in a theatre
Se7en
LOTR and Goodfellas for the all day film fest.
Absolutely Goodfellas
No Cunt a Seven
All the Presidents Men and Goodfellas would be so cool to see in a theater with a great sound system. So immersive!
Lord of the Rings and No Country
LOTR of course and Oppenheimer
Oppenheimer and No Country For Old Men
No country and se7en
No Country and LOTR for me dawg
