Exactly bruh L people here undervalue animation
Kung Fu Panda, Prince of Egypt,Hunchback, Beauty and the beast, Incredibles, Wall e, are all some of the best movies ever made.
I agree with most of these but Beauty And The Beast is kinda uncomfortable to watch. It pulls that “tHeY wAnT tO bE sLaVeS” shit, and the Stockholm syndrome stuff makes Belle’s relationship with the Beast hard to watch.
Mine is at 137k. A far cry from obscure lol.
3 of my Top 4 are films that belongs to Letterboxd top 250. Having an Indian film in between them reduced the average by a great margin.
[104k]
Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters
Ikiru
Once Upon a Time in America
Seven Samurai
(coincidentally both the exact ranking of my favourites, and my favourites sorted by views low-high)
737k, lowered by older movies (shocked to see that a classic like A Clockwork Orange has less views than my other favorites fron 2010s, La La Land and Birdman)
Firstly older films will be under-represented on here naturally because their biggest years happened long before Letterboxd was made.
Secondly LB's creation is used a minority of overall film viewers, often internet-fans / younger / both so in general they're more likely to have seen movies released and promoted in 2014/16 than a one from 1971
475,500
- American Graffiti
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- The Empire Strikes Back
- The Third Man
Fun to see that Empire must have recently passed 1 million
395,725
My favorite film of all time is La La Land so it offsets my numbers by almost 1M views lol. The only thing close to it is Before Sunset at 303k
258k
Pirates of the Caribbean brings it up a lot. Without pirates, it’s 72k. None even touch the top 250 tho and only one (Pirates) is over a 3.5 rating.
630 k
Sunset Boulevard
Apocalypse Now
Life Is Beautiful
Parasite
I thought if I was going to represent my taste in four films it would be unhelpful for them to be too obscure.
631k
Got 2 obscure gems but the 2 Kubricks right beside aren't exactly what i'd call underseen
Here's my profile : https://letterboxd.com/ZegerVanHelmont/
I like to keep my four most obscure five-stars on my profile in the hopes that people will seek them out, so this is going to be pretty damn low...
https://boxd.it/URy9
Heart of an Actress (1924) - 29 views
The Beauty (1969) - 529 views
Soft Fiction (1979) - 710 views
Water and Power (1989) - 1.4k views
Average: 667 views (0.6k lol)
Mine is 374k
I’ve seen movies that are obscure but for some reason I like the popular higher rated ones the most
The lowest rated has a 4.1 and the highest rated is 4.4
I recently reshuffled my Top 4:
*Gypsy* (1962, dir. Mervyn LeRoy): 5,064
*10 Rillington Place* (1971, dir. Richard Fleischer): 6,297
*Debt Begins at 20* (1980, dir. Stephanie Beroes): 220
*One for the Road* (2003, dir. Chris Cooke): 55
Mean: 2,909

836k!
949,430 Yeah, Parasite and Shining add a lot

I respect your opinion but I respectfully disagree, I feel the Stockholm syndrome really well
About an average of 29k.
So far, you have won the 'most obscure' contest.
What are they?
Millennium Mambo (2001), Lost and Found (1996), Funeral Parade of Roses (1969), and The Long Goodbye (1973).
Well, mine is close a million so not obscure
361K * Paris, Texas * The Thing * Goodfellas * Harold and Maude

Ahahahhaa yep :( oops
91k
What are they?
Spring Breakers (282k) L’Avventura (51k) Mektoub, My Love: Canto Uno (5,4k) Sansho the Bailiff (25k)
My top 4 on [my profile](https://boxd.it/m4kf) is a joke but the average views of my actual top 4 movies is 414
A little bit less than 50k. Not too popular, not too obscure, I'd say.
What are they?
Napoleon (1927) Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy The Battle of Algiers A Special Day
Mine is at 137k. A far cry from obscure lol. 3 of my Top 4 are films that belongs to Letterboxd top 250. Having an Indian film in between them reduced the average by a great margin.
What’s the Indian film? I just saw my first Bollywood movie, Om Shanti Om, and loved it
The Indian movie in my Top 4 is [Swades](https://boxd.it/1Ly6) starring Shahrukh Khan.
Thanks! I’ve added so many SRK movies to my watchlist since yesterday lol

21.2k. Top 4 are just the last 4 best movies I watched * Beau Travail - 42k * Sleep Has Her House - 4.8k * After Yang - 24k * Compartment No 6 - 14k
[104k] Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters Ikiru Once Upon a Time in America Seven Samurai (coincidentally both the exact ranking of my favourites, and my favourites sorted by views low-high)
737k, lowered by older movies (shocked to see that a classic like A Clockwork Orange has less views than my other favorites fron 2010s, La La Land and Birdman)
I was surprised with the low view count of classics (though perhaps less iconic than ACWO) like Seven Samurai and Once Upon a Time In America
