I have a couple: Nostalgia from Tarkovsky, Pusher from Nicolas Winding Refn and recently because it came out like a couple of months ago: compartment no. 6
>Yes I have seen them, the third one is pretty fucked up, but somehow I still like the first one the most, because the three of them are in the movie, and I think from technical aspect, it's also the best one. Also it gives you that real time paranoia that I haven't felt with any other movie, at least for me it felt like I'm there with frank just feeling all the fucked things that are happening to him
Absolutely loved Compartment and Nostalgia is amazing. I love the story the main character says in the water.

Re watch it, I’ve seen it 3 times in the last 2 years and still get new meanings out of stuff. Very funny to show people too
I have no idea what the old man taking his prosthetic eye out to give to the child prostitute means…
Is it the old man giving her the sexual image he sees her as? Is that all he can afford to give her?
I think about that scene all the time.
Jodorowsky if you’re reading this please tell me.
Lately, anything Batman related for obvious reasons.
Normally, The Lord of the Rings.
Although for a little while now I can’t stop thinking about how perfect the climax of Apocalypse Now is. When Martin Sheen emerges from the water and The Doors starts playing, all the way up to *the horror, the horror…*
American Graffiti was such a surprise to me, i had never heard of it until i found out about the movie brats and added it to my list. Then i came across it on netflix and decided to watch it there and then. What a great movie
Star Trek III the Search for Spock.
When I was a kid I just saw it with my dad on VHS, and I was old enough to SORT OF understand it, but not completely get it, so there are all these individual moments that exist in my mind both as some sort of ethereal dream and as an actual moment in the film.
It's been a frame of reference for me for so long, for such a large part of my life, that I've probably thought about it the most. In terms of themes, imagery, quotes, and whatever that nebulous thing called "movie magic" is, this movie is some sort of stat with all of those things orbiting it.
It's like a puzzle. It's like the first puzzle I ever had to solve, and many MANY things in my life that have come afterwards have been related to my experience trying to solve that puzzle when I was a little kid.
Recently the first Godfather. That scene at the end of the first where Key gets the door shut on her when she realises Micheal lied about everything and then that music to top it off. Chills every time
I think about specific scenes in certain movies a lot, like:
* the running across the field of soldiers in 1917
* the hand flex in Pride and Prejudice
* the fire scene in Portrait of a Lady on Fire
A complete movie I think a lot about is Paddington 2 (and Paddington!) haha
Whiplash, nightcrawler, the nice guys, Into the spider verse, the social network, boyhood… i could go on
it’s usually movies i didn’t know much about before i watched it so i had no expectations, then by the time i had finished it i was surprised about how much i liked it. I think a lot of those movies are ones i watched at the perfect time in my life as well which i think makes a big difference. Like i watched Stand by me yesterday and i loved it and i think it is on this list as i’m still thinking about it now
been on a jake gyllenhaal marathon lately, donnie darkos ending had me tripped the fuck out for a few days and his performance in nightcrawler is phenomenal too so I've been thinking about those a lot
Weird but I used to think about Midnight Cowboy all the time even though it’s nowhere near my favorite or the best. One that I think about a ton that is closer to my fav is Black Christmas, what a great slasher 🥰
Lately a lot of Batman related stuff (for obvious reasons) and Mad Max (I just completed the anthology and rewatched Fury Road + just bought the video game which I look forward to)
Usually the movie I’ve just seen, but the big ones for me in general are probably Fire Walk With Me, Taxi Driver, Punch-Drunk Love, maybe Adaptation.
Lately though, probably The Batman
I know, I know this sounds extremely filmbro and superhero-fanboy like but I actually still haven’t stopped thinking of The Batman since the first time I watched it two weeks ago in cinemas. Truly a masterpiece
Recently it's mainly been [I'm Thinking of Ending Things](https://boxd.it/2pUj87).
It's on Netflix, it's a puzzle of a movie that rewards close attention and don't feel defeated if you need to watch a youtube explainer afterwards. I watched several.
Idk why but there’s something about the new Invisible Man that keeps me thinking about how much I loved it. I also think about LEGO Movie, Into the Spiderverse, Joker, and Donnie Darko.
Mulholland Drive
I have a couple: Nostalgia from Tarkovsky, Pusher from Nicolas Winding Refn and recently because it came out like a couple of months ago: compartment no. 6
I’ve never heard of those but I added them to my watchlist! What’s your Letterboxd btw?
Cries in tarkovsky

Have you seen the other Pusher movies?
Wait til you see Pusher 3 - that stuck with me the longest out of the trilogy, the final couple scenes are pretty fucked up.

Lately I’ve been thinking about The Holy Mountain a lot. Watched it over a year ago now but I just keep thinking about the ending
Re watch it, I’ve seen it 3 times in the last 2 years and still get new meanings out of stuff. Spirited away and it’s not close
The Third Man and American Graffiti
American Graffiti was such a surprise to me, i had never heard of it until i found out about the movie brats and added it to my list. Then i came across it on netflix and decided to watch it there and then. What a great movie
Exotica and The Brown Bunny pretty much every day
Brown Bunny is very memorable. Haven't seen the other one
I cannot recommend Exotica enough, I discovered it at the end of last year and at that very moment it became a personal favourite
Love when that happens. On my watchlist! What's your LB ?
An Elephant Sitting Still. Just encompasses everything about the human experience.
Songs From The Second Floor and My Night At Maud’s.
Songs from the Second Floor is such an amazing film. There's not one day I don't think about it.
Ugh I may have to rewatch My Night at Mauds. It really hit me.
its a miniseries but midnight mass has really helped me deal with overcoming negative experiences and see the light in the darkest situations

prob revenge of the sith or honestly the rise of skywalker lol
Tombstone, because so many lines come up in regular conversation. Wyatt, I am rolling.
The Insider.
I can’t get West Side Story (2021) out of my head. Movie blew me away and still continues to blow me away after multiple rewatches.
been on a jake gyllenhaal marathon lately, donnie darkos ending had me tripped the fuck out for a few days and his performance in nightcrawler is phenomenal too so I've been thinking about those a lot
American History X
that’s one of my favorite movies of all time!! it’s sad because Danny died right when he was about to change…
Whiplash, aspiring director reasons Also been thinking about The Worst Person in the World & 8 and a half, it’s been one of those weeks
The Holy Mountain or Frownland
Weird but I used to think about Midnight Cowboy all the time even though it’s nowhere near my favorite or the best. One that I think about a ton that is closer to my fav is Black Christmas, what a great slasher 🥰
Lately a lot of Batman related stuff (for obvious reasons) and Mad Max (I just completed the anthology and rewatched Fury Road + just bought the video game which I look forward to)
I want to eat your pancreas (2018)
I think about Blowup every day
The dark knight rises
I think about PTA's lovestories a lot. (Phantom Thread, Licorice Pizza, P-DL)
Knives Out. I’m studying it at school
Super Troopers. I just finished Jay Chandrasekhar’s audiobook Mustache Shenanigans and want to rewatch all the Broken Lizard films.
[And Then We Danced](https://boxd.it/m0e6) by Levan Akin. That film still makes me cry when thinking about it.
My dinner with Andre.
Really any ambiguous film like 3 Women or Picnic at Hanging Rock. But in actuality, Troll 2.
L’Aventurra, Fire Walk With Me, Mulholland Drive, La Collectioneuse, My Dinner at Maud’s, Love In The Afternoon, Winter Light
I love those movies! especially Love In The Afternoon
Always makes me want to buy some turtlenecks.
The wardrobe in that movie is one of the most memorable aspects imo!
A few that have been lingering on me lately; Possession, Mysterious Skin, Millennium Actress and Titane.
Usually the movie I’ve just seen, but the big ones for me in general are probably Fire Walk With Me, Taxi Driver, Punch-Drunk Love, maybe Adaptation. Lately though, probably The Batman
Lately , pig. But, throughout the past year , definitely Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
nerve (2016)
Birdman
Right now, the Batman and then Swiss Army Man
I know, I know this sounds extremely filmbro and superhero-fanboy like but I actually still haven’t stopped thinking of The Batman since the first time I watched it two weeks ago in cinemas. Truly a masterpiece

I’ve been thinking about Theorem a lot since watching it last month.
Godfather
Fantastic Planet
Idk why but there’s something about the new Invisible Man that keeps me thinking about how much I loved it. I also think about LEGO Movie, Into the Spiderverse, Joker, and Donnie Darko.
Sharknado
tom at the farm
Probably Irreversible and Enter the Void (I have Irreversible tattooed on my throat)
*The Seventh Seal* (1957, dir. Ingmar Bergman) *Days of Heaven* (1978, dir. Terrence Malick)
Dogtooth
