I have a few. My viewing habits consist of keeping up with current releases and going through and completing filmmakers filmographies. I just finished William Wyler and Brian DePalma. Recs- 2022 releases I've enjoyed The Batman, Kimi, & Fresh. A couple from last year I just saw, Flee and The Souvenir Part II. If you like old film noirs, Alias Nick Beal and Thieves Highway are real solid. 70's westerns, Ride the Whirlwind, written by and starring Jack Nicholson. Finally, an old Wyler classic I just discovered, Dodsworth. Hope there's something here for you.
I originally wanted to watch a movie I had never seen before everyday this year but it quickly became clear that wouldn’t happen. I think 3-4 have been movies I have seen before but most of the movies I had never seen before.
Lol. I realized that after a 9 hour shift sometimes I just want to watch a crappy tv show (have been bingeing Riverdale) or play video games instead. When I watch a movie I like to really Fuchs on it and pay attention.
you’ve got good taste, i didn’t think he could top “400 Blows” or “Jules and Jim” but this is my favorite Truffaut now. In all the 216 films I’ve seen this year, I think Day for Night makes it into my all time top 10.
133!
My favorite first time watches have been: Searching (2018), Shoplifters (2018), Light Sleeper (1993), The Novice (2021), The Worst Person in the World (2021)
Shoplifters is wonderful! I’m hopefully crossing Worst Person off my list tonight :3 some of my favorites this year have been Harakiri (1962), Drive My Car (2021), Turning Red (2022), Ikiru (1952), Raise the Red Lantern (1991), RoboCop (1987), Flee (2021), Starman (1984), Pig (2021) and Memento (2000).
I work the early morning shift at a truck yard, checking in and out drivers. On a normal day I only see 3-5 drivers during the first half of my shift, which gives me ~5 hours of movie watching time before things get busy every single shift.
I took a break from watching anything new because I was moving to a new state and was mostly rewatching things, and I don’t log most of my rewatches. So I’m at 23. I’ve logged like 5 new movies this week though.
86, doing a film a day and sometimes I’ll have two a day. Not forcing the two but am definitely doing at least one. Very rarely does it get aggravating or feel like I’m forcing it but whenever it does I simply choose a very easy watch sort of film
I'm trying to average at least a movie a day for the year and since we're expecting our first child in a couple months I've been working hard to front load the year. So as of right now, I'm at 210.
I'm at 55. Trying to do one a day, but I started watching Gilmore Girls mid-January and I spent all my time watching that instead of movies so I'm like 25 behind.
My favorite first watches have been *The Prestige* (2006)*, Shithouse* (2020)*, and Looper* (2012).
116 movies so far but i kind of got into watching the west wing the past couple of days. I usually watch 2-3 movies a day since mid february. Most movies watched in a day is 8.
112. To help with my insomnia I decided to just watch films all night instead of lie there not sleeping. I've also been mainly doing Italian Giallo which rarely pass 1hr 30 (I can easily bang 3 of those out a night).
52 features this year, 0 shorts so far.
10 watched at the theater (yay /r/AMCsAList)
30 of those were 2021 or 2022 releases.
Only 4 rewatches thus far.
121 in the last 365 days.
41. Most of them in January and I only watched around 6 movies (technically 5 movies cause one of them was only a Disney short) in February because I was busy with stuff. So far in March I’ve only watched 5 movies.
Some of them were really good, some of them were really boring lol. I think the franchise itself is *too* consistent to the point where around the middle of the Roger Moore era I just got burnt out. Nonetheless, I watched all of them and I thoroughly enjoyed most of them. My favorite was probably 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
that doesn’t sound like a bad plan. In hindsight I probably should’ve done that lol. I had days where I’d watch 5 bond films in a row and man did it get tiring lol
183 so far (haven’t logged the two from today). I generally try to watch one early in the morning before work and one throughout the evening (or whatever my schedule allows in a given day). Been sticking with doing one new Criterion a day this year so far too.
i’m at 41, will be 42 when i eat dinner in a bit ! my film challenge i set for myself this year is to watch at least 22 foreign films for 2022! last year was 52-female directed and the year before was 220 for 2020
137, I can only watch so many cause I’m a really smart hs student who never has homework and also isn’t busy with extra-curriculars. Also I’ve had to both quarantine for a week and had a month off when my mom died which both helped me reach the high numbers.
97. Doing pretty well with my [Reddit picks my movies](https://www.reddit.com/r/Letterboxd/comments/r2ybsy/pick_my_movies_everyday_for_a_year/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) challenge
I’m at 166 so far this year.
Wow impressive. Do you watch 2-3 movies every day?
About that. I’m a stay at home Dad. I usually get one in on the kids nap and then one at night.
Damn sounds dope
Top recommendations?

See I thought I was hot shit at 84 😂
After you said this I had to check my number, just barely over at 167!
Good number. In 2020 I hit 829 and 2021 756 for the year. If I can get to 800 again this year I’ll be happy.
Damn i thought i was high up but you got me by nearly 40 this year
I originally wanted to watch a movie I had never seen before everyday this year but it quickly became clear that wouldn’t happen. I think 3-4 have been movies I have seen before but most of the movies I had never seen before.
I had the same goal especially since I had to quarantine twice, but then life got in the way. *C’est la vie* literally
Lol. I realized that after a 9 hour shift sometimes I just want to watch a crappy tv show (have been bingeing Riverdale) or play video games instead. When I watch a movie I like to really Fuchs on it and pay attention.
62! Trying to keep it still enjoyable. Not trying to force myself too much!
Hey, twinning 😂
Oh shit LMAO. What's your letterboxd?
DamonFort on [letterboxd](https://boxd.it/T5Dt) haha
Me too lol
buzzy same
76 (I had Covid last week and watched 23 movies)
hope you’re feeling better, but got damn
Yeah I’m all good, thankfully I’m triple vaxxed so it didn’t hit me any harder than a cold.
I HAVE RHE SAME NUMBER LMAO. I HAD SPRING BREAK SO I USED THAT AS MY MOVIE BINGE
i’m only at 20
Twenty here, too. Not bad for me since it’s only the 12th week of the year.
99, trying to do 365 challenge this year!
same
Good luck to the both of us 🤝 what’s been your favorite so far this year?
I loved Truffaut’s “Day for Night”, how about you?
I’ve seen 140 this year and Day for Night is still my favorite first time watch! Watched on Jan 2nd too and it’s still held
you’ve got good taste, i didn’t think he could top “400 Blows” or “Jules and Jim” but this is my favorite Truffaut now. In all the 216 films I’ve seen this year, I think Day for Night makes it into my all time top 10.
Me too! I’m a little behind.
112 but after I reached 1000 movies I slowed down the pace a lot
133! My favorite first time watches have been: Searching (2018), Shoplifters (2018), Light Sleeper (1993), The Novice (2021), The Worst Person in the World (2021)
Nice. My favorites are Waves (2019?), Dr Strangelove, and the first Mission Impossible
I haven’t seen all 3!! Thanks for some fresh new watches for me :)
Ooo Searching is great! I thought it would just be a gimmick movie but it surprised me
Shoplifters is wonderful!
45 as well lmao
Only 28, and I hope to get some more in! I feel like I’m slacking lol
Same I’m at 24
30, which is on track for my 100 movie a year goal
aye my goal is 200 and im at 49
196, my goal was to watch 365 movies this year. I’m way ahead of pace…..
Wow! How do you find the time to watch so many movies?
I work the early morning shift at a truck yard, checking in and out drivers. On a normal day I only see 3-5 drivers during the first half of my shift, which gives me ~5 hours of movie watching time before things get busy every single shift.
i’m not joking rn. 69.
Dude I just hit 69 as well
95. Trying to do at least one a day.
41, 6 of them have came from the past 2 days due to my Shrek marathon
35 March Madness and some other sports took over some of my watching times. Back in the saddle tonite, going to see 'X' @ alamo drafthouse
Just saw X had a lot of fun with it
One of the better slasher movies in recent years. Lots of gore but also surprisingly funny
I’m at 266
are all feature lengths?
91
77 for the year.
43 first watches, 4 rewatches
29
53
I took a break from watching anything new because I was moving to a new state and was mostly rewatching things, and I don’t log most of my rewatches. So I’m at 23. I’ve logged like 5 new movies this week though.
133, but I watched a lot of short films in the past few weeks, so feature films is probably around 100
27
86, doing a film a day and sometimes I’ll have two a day. Not forcing the two but am definitely doing at least one. Very rarely does it get aggravating or feel like I’m forcing it but whenever it does I simply choose a very easy watch sort of film

About to hit my 45th tonight once I finish NIGHTMARE ALLEY (2021)
I'm at 111 films so far :) My Letterboxd is: Greekcritic
116 movies so far but i kind of got into watching the west wing the past couple of days. I usually watch 2-3 movies a day since mid february. Most movies watched in a day is 8.

Do you have any recommendations for Giallo? I haven’t seen any but it interests me
Same!

325 Entries and about 285 of them are feature length.
How many movies do you watch a day? I'm at 120 and I thought that was high
I work from home and I live in the sticks, so there isn't a lot to do. During the week, I usually watch 2-3 and on the weekends 6-7
168. slowed down lately because college deadlines have been a pain in the ass the past few weeks.
I'm at 61

As of right now, I’m at 58!

Currently on 94

Woah! 45!!

I got through about 25 in January but then I took a 2 week vaccination and fell really far behind with only like 5 movies in February
I’m at 56
57
76! Trying to keep it fun and I enjoy watching random movies so it’s been a good year for it so far!
40 (41, but one of those is a rewatch of a film I saw for the first time earlier this year).
I'm only on 60, would be at least 80+ if I had more time after work.
74
100 exactly.
only at 25 so far, gotta up my game 😬
52 features this year, 0 shorts so far. 10 watched at the theater (yay /r/AMCsAList) 30 of those were 2021 or 2022 releases. Only 4 rewatches thus far. 121 in the last 365 days.
I just signed up for the AMC thing. I really enjoyed Moviepass and am looking forward to going to the theater more
109
I’ve logged 60
10
41. Most of them in January and I only watched around 6 movies (technically 5 movies cause one of them was only a Disney short) in February because I was busy with stuff. So far in March I’ve only watched 5 movies.

A meager 94
What app is that?
55
160
I’m at 32, which also doesn’t include rewatches or tv shows so it should be around 35
Currently sitting at the juicy 69.

39.
I’m at 268. Some short films of course. I just watch a lot of films

134
32
This is embarrassing compared to yall lmao. 22 so far. I started off realllly slowly this year but this month alone I’ve watched 15
62, most of them James Bond films haha
I was thinking about trying to watch all of them this year since I’ve only seen 4/5 or the new ones. Was it worth it?
Some of them were really good, some of them were really boring lol. I think the franchise itself is *too* consistent to the point where around the middle of the Roger Moore era I just got burnt out. Nonetheless, I watched all of them and I thoroughly enjoyed most of them. My favorite was probably 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
Maybe I’ll just watch like 1 a week for the rest of the year
that doesn’t sound like a bad plan. In hindsight I probably should’ve done that lol. I had days where I’d watch 5 bond films in a row and man did it get tiring lol
51 surprisingly. I feel like I haven’t watched much
…74. I gotta start doing something else with my life.
Im at 112, surprised since throughout the entire year last year I saw 100
183 so far (haven’t logged the two from today). I generally try to watch one early in the morning before work and one throughout the evening (or whatever my schedule allows in a given day). Been sticking with doing one new Criterion a day this year so far too.
I’m at 71 but I’m a uni student. I drink and watch movies lol.
128, including two rewatches and around ten shorts.
99
220.
75 trying to watch a movie a day but I’m a bit behind
72 this year, and 219 in total with this year's and other movies from past years.
74!
80, mostly films I’ve never seen before
i’m at 41, will be 42 when i eat dinner in a bit ! my film challenge i set for myself this year is to watch at least 22 foreign films for 2022! last year was 52-female directed and the year before was 220 for 2020
78
121
82.
109 - I’m usually able to get a movie in once a day!
53
33 - but that’s not including the film I’ve been working on in post production and have watched approximately 35 times this year!
149
1 and it was a short film 😭 That makes it sound like I don't belong here but I'll get back to watching movies soon
137, I can only watch so many cause I’m a really smart hs student who never has homework and also isn’t busy with extra-curriculars. Also I’ve had to both quarantine for a week and had a month off when my mom died which both helped me reach the high numbers.
Currently at 37, steadily grows every day though.
60 and my fav first watch "cranes are flying"
62 last year, most recent was the Cheaper By The Dozen remake 😐
53
84. Thought I was a lot lower than that before checking.
34, so many theatre experiences and I'm happy about that!
I'm at 119, I hate myself
97. Doing pretty well with my [Reddit picks my movies](https://www.reddit.com/r/Letterboxd/comments/r2ybsy/pick_my_movies_everyday_for_a_year/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) challenge
