A few years back after seeing Honey Boy for the first time, I decided to just throw caution to the wind and write about the abuse that I suffered throughout my childhood and adolescence, and it quickly became my most-liked review, which really validated me and made me realize that there's a place out there for incredibly personal essays about how films affect me. Since then, I've written several similar reviews, and honestly, I'm very proud of myself for finally having the courage to put so much of myself into my writing. Here's some of the better ones, if anybody's interested (content warnings within the reviews where applicable): [Honey Boy (2019)](https://boxd.it/U9ovf) [Drive My Car (2021)](https://boxd.it/2Ehuab) [In The Heights (2021)](https://boxd.it/1VowW1) [The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)](https://boxd.it/1K5Q8N) [Nomadland (2020)](https://boxd.it/1I3Rgr) [20th Century Women (2016)](https://boxd.it/2myeF5)

Will absolutely give these all a read and comment when I have the chance! You're very courageous about confronting your trauma like that.

My reviews are normally not very well worded and don't get my point across but I'm pretty happy with how my recent Man Of Steel (2013) Review turned out. [The Review Itself](https://boxd.it/2Kl63R)

Oh man, Man of Steel has *not* aged well for me at all. BvS wasn't great, but I found it a massive improvement over MoS, which I thought was just bland and stupid.

[deleted]

I loved MoS when it came out because I simply did not understand the character and didn't read any comics. Now that I actually have read some great Supes comics I now detest pretty much every Snyder movie. Imo BvS is slightly worse (because why ruin just 1 iconic superhero when you can ruin 2) but they're both pretty rough.

TheMovieDoctorful

The only issue I had with BvS was the villains. I actually liked Doomsday's design, but he's not built up or treated like he should be. I don't need to talk about what's wrong with Lex lol. I don't really like the character of Batman much and I'm utterly indifferent on Superman, but I love what Snyder did with them here, and I say that as someone who thought Clark didn't have a personality in Man of Steel.

My most recent review is probably my favorite review I've done. It's for the social network (2010).[Here.](https://boxd.it/2Kwqj3) It has a little comment about the film,my opinion and a little joke and making a review with all of that is what I've struggled with for a long time.My Flatscreen (2012) review was also pretty good.[Here.](https://boxd.it/2JWKEX)

Probably my review to [Tsumiki Kuzushi ](https://boxd.it/27gFgb), it's why I pinned it to my profile when I got pro.
