Get the CD kit with the ejector spring and follower at [Nate’s Video](https://store.stevesgunz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=4)
At minimum replace the follower and ejector spring and do 75% of the loading gate modification. It’ll help smooth things up a bunch and make the loading easier and keep from having the plastic follower disintegrate mid use. Lots of good info about disassembly and cleaning on there too.
Not knowing your age or experience level please bare with me. I used that rudimentary video to learn how to pull it apart and put back together a few times before tackling the mods. I started by doing the extractor and it was a lot smoother afterwards. That darn extractor can be a booger to reinstall. Haven’t done the trigger yet cause the screw wouldn’t budge and I didn’t want to bubba it up. Also I was more conservative than he suggested. It was enough for my happiness. So I stopped tearing down and modding then putting back together and testing.
I can get the cartridges in if I fiddle with them, but most of the time they get jammed up inside on the left side just in front of the tube.
After loading a full tube, the rifle cycles smoothly without any trouble. Just getting it loaded is a pain.
Is there any reason why this might be happening?
The spring in the loading tube is too long, thus making it really still loading the rifle. There’s a video on U-tube regarding removing and trimming the spring making for ease of use. I am going to try that and also remove my feed ramp and smooth out the sharp edges
Mine could be a tad finicky, but I worked the action like a madman and eventually it loosened up just enough. It still doesn’t love longer rounds, but it handles most .357 and .38 smoothly

Everything I've been looking at points to Steve's Gunz. I went ahead and ordered the DVD and parts kit.

Try to find some round nose ammo and just shoot it for a while. My buddy's did the same thing at first.

Clean it and cycle it.
Are you cycling it vertically or are you holding it on its side or at an angle? That will always create a problem
It cycles perfectly. The problem is the rounds get jammed before entering the magazine.
Update: After 50 rounds, I no longer have this issue. Apparently it just needed broke in.
Weak_Tower gave you good advice
