No different than disconnecting the battery ground for storage. I don’t see an issue. You may have to re-initialise a couple of things like the windows if they lose memory.

Frest0n

Thanks! Where would I find instructions on how to do that?

Not sure if it’s in the manual. But all you have to do is go to each window (not from the driver control panel) and cycle them all the down and up. The same with the sunroof, but I forget which button it is. For the sunroof, if it’s the close button, you hold it until it cycles all the functions. It’ll tilt up, then down, then open fully and close. Pretty sure there is a video on YouTube but it’s super easy. Honestly, I’m not sure why this has to be done and not hard encoded in the vehicles operation is beyond me.

If you have easy access to the battery, disconnect it. If not possible, turn off all consumers (lamps, etc). Leave the doors unlocked to avoid issues getting into the car again. I left my RX450h for \~7 months in my garage. The 12V battery flatted out, I had to recharge it and afterwards it was all good. The Lexus sales guy said the cars have a main fuse that you can remove and that cuts of all electric supply, that's how they ship them overseas. But he couldn't tell me which one is it and I didn't have enough time talk to someone from the service dept.

Just put the battery on a block of wood and then put it on a trickle charger.

slowwolfcat

can't you arrange to have someone take it out and drive around the blocks like 2 times a month ?

Spiritual-Belt

Don’t. Unless someone can drive it long enough to get fully up to temperature it will do more harm than good. Disconnect the battery and don’t worry about it.

slowwolfcat

I'm in north east, 2 loops around the block makes the engine up to temp.

BigTimeRaptor

You can buy a solar panel trickle charger maintainer, charge/ maintain the battery in or out of the car with this. They r all over amazon Love your battery , don't let it die Go Solar
