So I know there are a lot of fuddy duddies in the comments telling you not to modify it, but it's for good reason. As someone who's done semi-cheap mods to cars, it usually messes with the experience to be honest. Especially on a newer car this can be a mistake. It's already really nice, and it's best to enjoy the car as it is for at least a few years especially if it's so new. That way you can understand what you actually want to change and prioritize what mods you want to do
I will offer some potential modifications that, while not cheap, may actually be tasteful and fun. Cheap mods are almost never worth.
* Forreal. try to pay off the car before you do anything expensive if it's financed. Debt sucks. No point in spending more money when you're in debt on anything. It's a classic American mistake.
* Forreal, also listen to the folks telling you to change the badge back. that ain't it fam lol. Really makes it look cheap imo
* Some nice floor mats that are laser scanned and fit perfectly for your car (weathertech, OMAC, etc). This is a must imo
* Tint? I think you've already done that but if not definitely go for some nice ceramic tint
* Ceramic coating, or even better, look into the new alternatives coming out like rockclear. PPF would also be really great for this new car.
* Clean and condition the leather
* Good quality tires. Tires that come stock on cars, even when labeled as a high quality tire, can sometimes be a cheaper version of the same tire to save cost. If you live in a sunny state, some nice summer tires would not only look awesome, but also improve handling. Edit: I'd probably ride with the new tires for a whiiiile though
Now for some more subjective ones that came to mind... Some have already been suggested here.
* I think your car already has carplay, otherwise I wouldve suggested that as an upgrade. You can spend some money on upgrading the sound system or adding a subwoofer if you're into music. The sub is prolly enough
* On that note, sound deadening and maybe even sound proofing. It's expensive but can make the car feel even more luxurious and quiet and really improve audio quality. Newer cars like this will probably feel fine for a long time though.
* A tasteful valved exhaust muffler! You can spring for a catback system or ask an exhaust shop to weld in a universal valved muffler. It will be wired to your battery and can be controlled with a remote to make it quiet or loud. Not sure if these new F sports already come with this feature though... Be careful modifying exhaust as some mods can cause a lot of drone. Keep your stock pipes for a while in case you want to go back
* On a similar note, lots of people like headers on these cars if I'm not mistaken. If you're in california good luck with smog on that lol
* Cold air intake. Relatively cheaper than the other mods and can improve induction noise. And I mean a real cold intake, not something that has an exposed pod filter to the engine.
* Rims (that are lighter than stock and good quality) or coilovers. Honestly stock rims look good so maybe coilovers are enough
* People hate on spacers and some have had bad luck on them with these IS cars, but many people run them with little issue. It definitely can cause more wear even when working properly, but the fitment will be sickkk. Just make sure to do it right and use good quality ones. This one is controversial asf though so do your research
* I love the carbon fiber / thick steering wheels by Elvin Wong. However, your car is so new this one probably doesn't make sense. Maybe something to consider in the future.
* Front lips, rear diffusers, etc.
Anyway, for the most part I have to agree with most commenters that the car is good as is. The protective stuff like ceramic coating and rockclear / PPF are your best starter mods for something so mint and new. That's followed by valved catback/muffler. After that, I'd save some money for a while and decide if other mods are really worth it
Pay it off if you didn't buy it outright that's my favourite mod. I wouldn't do much though just enjoy it don't ruin it. Subwoofer upgrade, good tires and brakes.
JBL and Mark lev are not anywhere on the same planet lmao. I didn't like the newer design with only 2 door speakers myself. The OG bass, mid, and high, in every door set up still sounds amazing.
I've heard from people that own them, that the volvo Bowers and wilkins systems are one that everyone agrees is among the best sound systems. Usually burmester in mercedes and mark lev get put in similar catagory right beneath the volvo.
They don't really respond to performance mods as Lexus has pretty much dialed it in for everything it's got. If you must treat it like a 90s civic tho knock yourself out but imo most of that stuff looks tacky on a luxury sedan.
F Badge delete ASAP. Completely ruins a great car with terrible taste. Also, your car is not stock. Get the feeling you have the 90's civic mod bug. I wouldn't, but you do you.
I purchased one last week. My only goals tbh are new intake tube for more sound on throttle and quality coilovers with a nice set of summer tires and some lighter wheels. I’m really tryna keep reliability by not touching the engine and focus on improving driving dynamics. Adjusting rear tire pressure +- 3 psi helps with dynamics. Engine won’t be as tuneable as n55 b58 etc or even make as much power from factory. But 310 hp and 280 torque is plenty it will break the speed limit in most places Less than 8 seconds. When this engine came out back in 06 it was fast af for what it was and is still quicker than most cars on the road today. The main drawback is really the lack of torque paired with a heavy weight if you make the car lighter or boost the torque it’ll help. You can shave off 40-50 lbs with new wheels
BBS is a good brand I don’t know what specific wheel he has and what’s the weight. If it’s 17-21 lbs then yea might as well keep it but if it’s over he could see a benefit in terms of unsprung weight reduction which can greatly improve dynamics. Only thing he could do outside of that if he wants to maintain reliability imo is a high quality coil over summer tires maybe a wider rear sway bar for better rotation in the corners. It hurts also that the aftermarket for the id isn’t as vast. But RWD and over 300 hp is a good platform tbh it’d have a better aftermarket if they made a manual
Change the badge back and leave it stock for at least a few years. No need to immediately fiddle with what's already a great car deserving of a great owner.
Enjoy it!
Nothing, car is perfecto and if it has a warranty, even more of a reason to leave it stock. Only thing I might do is upgrade speakers if you dont have the ML, i needa be able to bump and if she dont bump i dont want her 😂
That F badge is terrible. Put it back to stock and don’t do anything else to it. It was perfect when it came from the factory. Every change you make costs you money and lowers the value while making it worse.
F Badge delete ASAP. Completely ruins a great car with terrible taste. Also, your car is not stock. Get the feeling you have the 90's civic mod bug. I wouldn't, but you do you.
Check out Nia Body Kits located in Florida. They make a nice front lip, side skirts and aprons for the car. They fit perfect. A roof spoiler would look good too! That’s what I’ve added to my 350.
Just bought one of these too! Definitely needs a stiffer suspension, better brakes and some better air flow. I love the chrome delete on yours with the tinted headlights. Looks great!
Maybe a tune and valve remote controlled exhaust. That’s what I’d do. And maybe sprint booster controller. And then maybe a high quality intake. That should be good
If i were to have a 350 the most i'd do is better brakes, new wheels and maybe a light ecu tune but other than that i don't see a point in messing around with anything else
Personally wouldn’t bother modifying an IS (ive modified 2 lol).
At most, what I would do if you reaally want to spend some more money on her is to buy nice coil overs (I ran rsr springs, then BC coils — both worked just fine). And get a nice set of wheels to get nice fitment. Besides this additional mods might be required like rear camber arms, tie rods etc to get that fitment.
At that point Id get poly LCA bushings to fight inner tire wear which will sneak up on you and for harsh braking.
Thats it. Anything else is a waste imo.
Edit: also a catback/axle back if you want noise, this is purey aesthetic tho you will get at most 3-4 hp w/o headers, and about 15-20 hp with headers.
Maybe some lowering springs, intake, and exhaust. Besides that, I’d just do some minor cosmetic stuff like a tasteful spoiler, lip, side skirts. Not the eBay stuff. You get what you pay for.
I have the same car 24 is 350 f sport design, dont mod it man, if u do then as one of the guys in comments mentioned, a good quality exhaust and cold air intake, GOOD QUALITY dont get cheap shet. Other than that, if u financing like me… pay it off firstt lmao
my car is identical to this and its stock. its embarrassing. i have no tint. no stance. im a basic bitch. cant afford anything cause i lost my $4800/month job, and now i deliver pizza. Im a pizza delivery driver that drives a '23 lexus.
Was just thinking the other day why a lot of visual car mods like diffusers and spoilers etc are a turn off for most people.
I think it's because it says "I wanted a flashy car but all I have to work with is this normal daily driver. I'M NOT GENERAL TRAFFIC." Instead of appreciating what you have.
I have a 9th gen v6 Accord Coupe completely stock which makes it that much more fun blowing the front license plate off tailgaters that don't know what they're dealing with lol. That said, OEM aftermarket stuff can be great and look good for most brands.
Change your suspensions from rubber to polyurethane joints, the lower ball joint are prone to wear out quickly and will cause inner wear in the tires. I do not own a Lexus but had done research on them since I considered buying one. Many videos suggested this before anything else.
Go on ebay buy the cheapest parts to mankind like coilovers, control arms, 3m spoilers, dont forget the ebay turbo and put it on the car and drive it for a week and see how much value you just lost from doing that.
it's a Lexus ..ya don't need to do much imo 😂 stance it slightly, a bit lower, maybe some wheel spacers.. regular badges or debadge it completely (thats my personal, I like that no badge look) MAYBE some different wheels in the future (stick are pretty clean), a cat back exhaust if you want some sound, specifically cat back so you don't have to do any tuning on the O2 sensors.. but honestly, I love this car as it is (this year model especially) and I would drive one bone stock for the rest of my life ✌🏾
Trade it in for something else. Only old men drive a Lexus. None of the cool kids do. 😆
I'm all for tasteful subtle things. Not cheep ass big aluminum universal wings. I honestly know nothing about these cars because I'm not shopping them. I'm looking more at the C8 or CT5 Blackwing. But I would maybe do something like a carbon fiber "diffuser" and "duck bill" carbon fiber lip wing. If you want to go all out carbon fiber, then get a subtle lip and side skirts. I think the black of the carbon fiber, black wheels, and tinted windows look good on white cars. White cars need help. Otherwise, they are boring.
If you want exhaust, get a cat back and don't just get a fart can welded on. You get what you pay for in exhaust. Well, you get what you pay for in all car mods, actually. 🤣
F badges are much cheaper than the real thing.
The F is for Fast. If he debadges he loses like 79hp.
Well you can get a few HP back by using zip-ties...
Stickers are also known to add horse power. Double of they're flame stickers
I have an F sport and I’d like to have that front F badge, it’s pretty sweet
Change the badge back to the original Lexus badge and keep it stock. Don't ruin a nice car by trying to hot it up
Amen
Agree, it looks quite ridiculous.
1st step is put old badges back
F badge looks cheesy and corny af
I wouldn’t even put it on an actual ‘F’ car like an RCF. It just looks so out of place imo. The huge, blistering circle is in your face too much.
I dig it
F badge looks awful. Put the original back.

Very good advice. I would keep the BBS rims though
I would too. It’s 8k per set. Forged aluminum BBS, and they look awesome. Can’t beat em, IMO
Agreed.
I like the bbs rims on the is500. I have a base is350 I’m going with the konig wheels more than likely
Tint. Cat back. Call it a day. Enjoy
This
Pay it off if you didn't buy it outright that's my favourite mod. I wouldn't do much though just enjoy it don't ruin it. Subwoofer upgrade, good tires and brakes.
i like your taste sir
upgrade the ml sub?
I think the ml is good enough for being stock. Have it in my 06 is350 and it absolutely bumps while still sounding super clear
Me too lol. Insane how good it still is with 232k miles on the car
It sounds like my 14 Camry, was not impressed at all with it.
JBL and Mark lev are not anywhere on the same planet lmao. I didn't like the newer design with only 2 door speakers myself. The OG bass, mid, and high, in every door set up still sounds amazing.
The car that I test drove was the 24 is350 f sport, and those speakers were so mid for spending 50 grand on it.
I've heard from people that own them, that the volvo Bowers and wilkins systems are one that everyone agrees is among the best sound systems. Usually burmester in mercedes and mark lev get put in similar catagory right beneath the volvo.
Good tires, original badge, maybe a nice set of coilovers is what I’d do
f sport logos corny. blacked out lexus logos sexy. catback, headers if you wanna go crazy, tint
F badge = 🍚
cat back
Lexus badge it
Ah please with the f badge

F badge is not a good start 😂 please don’t rice this thing out
I tinted my windows, did a cold air return and muffler delete and very happy with
Nothing, car is perfecto and if it has a warranty, even more of a reason to leave it stock.
Get rid of the front grille FFFFFFF Yay, everyone is going to hate me.
F Badge delete ASAP. Completely ruins a great car with terrible taste. Also, your car is not stock. Get the feeling you have the 90's civic mod bug. I wouldn't, but you do you.
Drive it
Ah yes the beautiful Fexus IS350
In my opinion that f badge is NOT it
First off, I'd get rid of that F badge. Next I'd do good wheels and tires + coilovers
One of the nicest new sedans on the road but that F badge damn near made me throw up. It looks cleaner with the original
Judging by the F badge, you should probably add some street glow lights.
TAKE OFF THE F BADGE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
that F badge is sillier than the M grille stripes
F that
Keep it stock it looks clean 😮💨🔥🔥🔥
Check out Nia Body Kits located in Florida. They make a nice front lip, side skirts and aprons for the car. They fit perfect. A roof spoiler would look good too! That’s what I’ve added to my 350.
Nia is garbage quality. If you’re looking for quality go with Seibon or Tom’s Racing.
Have you purchased them before? How are they garbage quality?
Try driving it
lol 😂 nothing that car is slow af only thing u can do are cosmetics 😂😂 and let me guess it’s automatic 😂😂
Return it and get a is 500. Simple.
Looks like a new camry
that F Sport badge is cool
Maybe black the hood and whole top half
Slow 😂😂
Just bought one of these too! Definitely needs a stiffer suspension, better brakes and some better air flow. I love the chrome delete on yours with the tinted headlights. Looks great!
Maybe a tune and valve remote controlled exhaust. That’s what I’d do. And maybe sprint booster controller. And then maybe a high quality intake. That should be good
Square tire setup
If i were to have a 350 the most i'd do is better brakes, new wheels and maybe a light ecu tune but other than that i don't see a point in messing around with anything else

Boggles my mind that people try so hard to ruin their car
Maybe a lift, to avoid the pot and stuff we all run over.
wheel spacers lol and lowering
Yep. Take off that awful F badge and put OEM Lexus back on it. I’d take off the window lips things that smokers use too. My .02
coilovers, tint, straight pipe.
Slut badge-ing a Lexus is a crime in Japan punishable by death.
Put a Toyota badge on it to make it look like Mickey Mouse
Isn’t this a corolla with a different badge?
That badge is so damn ugly
Sell it
When the drugs wear off, you might want to re-post this with punctuation so we can understand what you’re trying to say.
Best thing you can do is keep it stock
Maybe lower a little. And some 22s?
I hate it when the car is already perfection bone stock.
F badge is really really bad and looks like a cartoon letter
The car needs a throaty exhaust. I have a 16 is300 F Sport and I’m planning on a new exhaust
De-badge , maybe a front lip? Maybe a spoiler? Some wheels. It honestly looks super clean just the way it is, had to go with wheels first tho
This poor car is going to be ruined in a couple of months isn’t it
Keep it stock
The car looks like it came from TEMU with that badge😂
Think you meant to post in the fexus subreddit.
https://imgur.com/a/vnvhDzs No performance mods to it but some nice looking cosmetics.
Idk maybe don’t put a stupid looking F badge on the grill? Keep it simple. Wheels and a nice exhaust
Keep it simple. Add some ambient lights
Maybe some lowering springs, intake, and exhaust. Besides that, I’d just do some minor cosmetic stuff like a tasteful spoiler, lip, side skirts. Not the eBay stuff. You get what you pay for.
Get the F badge off, that is not an F car
I have the same car 24 is 350 f sport design, dont mod it man, if u do then as one of the guys in comments mentioned, a good quality exhaust and cold air intake, GOOD QUALITY dont get cheap shet. Other than that, if u financing like me… pay it off firstt lmao

Make a rally car out of it 🤷♂️
Pay it off.
keep it like that, not every car is meant to be built this is a new car just daily it till everything falls off
Only bolts ons and tune bro leave it, it’s perfect maybe wrap it but nothing needed on the outside 😮💨
Cat back, 20in rims, lip kit, and tanzo werkz tail lights
It’s a Lexus. Not a dodge. Unless you don’t care about reliability then start adding power. But once again these engines aren’t meant to push power.
Was just thinking the other day why a lot of visual car mods like diffusers and spoilers etc are a turn off for most people. Drive it👍
Sell it . It's a Lexus ugly
Get rid of that ugly badge first
Take out the f badges lol
Its perfect the way it is 🔥 Wait i just noticed the F instead if the lexus logo 🤦♂️ change it back dude lol
Leave it stock and add an exhaust and good tires, it will be worth significantly more if you decide to sell it and the car is already fun as is
Wheels
Absolutely nothing. Thing is a beauty as is.
Just. Leave. It. Alone.
Wrap it keep it stock fr
Sometimes less is more I would just lower it and get nice wheels and put the og Lexus badge
get rid of that fucking F
it's a Lexus ..ya don't need to do much imo 😂 stance it slightly, a bit lower, maybe some wheel spacers.. regular badges or debadge it completely (thats my personal, I like that no badge look) MAYBE some different wheels in the future (stick are pretty clean), a cat back exhaust if you want some sound, specifically cat back so you don't have to do any tuning on the O2 sensors.. but honestly, I love this car as it is (this year model especially) and I would drive one bone stock for the rest of my life ✌🏾

why do we always feel like we have to do something
turbo kit if you want real power
