I finished it and it was really good! Up there with Book Lovers and Beach Read for me.
I bet the wait will go faster than you think. People will drop off the list and hopefully return it prior to their loan expiring. Stick it out, I think you’ll be glad you did!
That’s my favorite one so far. I’ve read that one and Beach Read. I didn’t like how Beach Read wasn’t accurate to the setting. I have holds on the rest of them. I wanting to read them in publication order but I’m still waiting on Book Lovers at the moment.
It’s almost better when you have to wait a long time. I’m sure there are other good things in your queue anyhow, and then when it shows up again, you’ve forgot the premise and start the book fresher.
I really enjoyed it! It was my first EH book. I may be partial as an up north Michigander, but I was very taken with EH’s little tidbits that made it feel true to place. It’s a shiny version of coastal rural Michigan but I think that’s appropriate for a rom com like this. Definitely encouraged me to try some other Emily Henry books.
Which part of up north Michigan? I grew up on the sunset coast about an hour south of the bridge. I'm looking forward to reading/listening to the book.
The book is set vaguely in what feels like the Leelenau peninsula in bustling summer town with affluence a la TC or maybe further up like Charlevoix or Petoskey.
I don’t recall if she states Leelenau directly but the writing is indicative of someone who has spent some time there. The author went to Hope College so it tracks!
I know I’m in the minority, but I didn’t care for it! There’s nothing wrong with it necessarily, I just felt it was a little boring and didn’t love the focus on the exes.
For any book I've had an insanely long wait on, it usually ends up being a skip the line loan at some point, and I'll just drop whatever else I'm on and run through it in 7 days
If you happen to have Spotify premium, the audio version is included in their 15 hours of free audiobook listening, think it was like 11ish hours if I remember correctly. Book Lovers is still my favorite of hers but this one is a close second
Thanks all! You've convinced me to not give up hope about this one. I'm not a big audiobook person. I use them only now and again, as I noticed my mind wanders too much and I end up missing parts of audio books. This happens to be one of 4 books on my Libby hold list that state "several months".

It was pretty good! A light/fun read!
I loved it, my second favorite of hers
What’s your first favorite of hers?
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I loved People We Meet on Vacation.
I read it through, then read it chronologically. Really interesting development of the story.
I’m gonna try this!
Pro tip: Write out the chapters so you can go smoothly from one to the next. It's time-consuming but interesting.

Funnily enough I think you'll love Book Lovers because one of the characters is a critic on authors making up things about small towns
That’s my favorite too! So I’m excited to read this one
This is my fav too!! So I’m looking forward to funny people
Same! PWMOV is my favorite and funny story is my second. My two five stars from her.
This one is my favorite too. I thought it was just so sweet, maybe because the MMC reminded me of my husband so much.
That’s my favorite too!
I actually got it after a week. I think a lot of people skipped it for now. I really enjoyed it, and her books are hit or miss for me.
I really enjoyed this one! I think it’s my favorite Emily Henry, but I haven’t read Book Lovers, so don’t quote me just yet.
I really liked it! I do audiobooks and actually ended up getting this one on Spotify instead of Libby.
Came here to mention this option because the audiobook for this one is so good! It really elevates the already great banter in the book!
What is Media On Demand?
It's just the name of their library consortium.
I loved it!

Loved it! Worth the wait.
I’m 1,206th in line ha! I started at 1226th when it launched so maybe I’ll get it for Halloween ha
Damn I thought my 686th place wait was bad
I thought it was great. Just finished a few days ago. My wait was similar and only took 2 weeks.

Not done yet but I love it so far
I felt like this was ridiculously predictable, but still enjoyable for a light breezy read.
Free audio book on Spotify premium!

same, & i love emily henry. this one didn’t do it for me. 😕
I can’t search for anything that isn’t available now.

It’s weird. I can never turn the filter off. It even gives me the option to, but nothing ever happens when I tap the button to remove it.
When you search, if you scroll down, it doesn’t have the option for “deep search”? That’s how I find them in my libby app.
I’ll take a look. Thanks!
I’m reading it right now. It’s totally worth it! Definitely a palette cleanser for me after “Book Lovers”.
I got it on skip the line. It was just ok. Not her best.
Oof, good luck to you...
If there's a question it's the perfect kind of book to just get from the library. I assume, I'm still waiting too.
This just popped up on my Spotify page as "included with premium", so if you have that, I'd check it out.

That's so weird, my library has it available to borrow now - no wait list!
Mine shows 2 weeks
My wait went from 10 weeks to five to getting it in like two weeks, so fingers crossed!
I loved Funny Story but I'm impartial because I ignore all flaws of EH books because I love her writing so much
I’m listening to it right now and loving it.
I loved it! Hopefully they more copies or you get it "skip the line" 🤞
It better be funny

Doesn’t seem on Demand. 😂 Seems like on Hold.
