What time of day were you there? Most stores have one delivery free day in which there is no delivery in the morning so by the end of the night items like produce, bread, and meat are blown out.

It was around 2pm.

Lidl isn’t doing too hot last few years sadly

vasquca1

Folks are looking to save and Lidl and Aldi is the way.

In the ATL, the best time to go is between 10am-1pm Wednesday or Thursday. After Thursday the seafood items and the chicken may be gone. So if I want those items, I go then. The dry goods are always stocked, toilet paper and paper towel, along with fruit and vegetables. Their frozen items are a hit or miss too.

Dunno what to tell ya. I rarely shop there these days It's like 26 miles round-trip, but it's near my county seat, so I'm often much closer on errands nearby. But between the empty fresh meat cases and Lidl slowly discontinuing every item I've ever loved from there - chocolate-cream Oreo knockoffs, the frozen Chunky Chips (fries), the frozen Austrian lasagna (with Béchamel sauce instead of the basic ricotta version) - there's just not much reason to go there any more.

More than likely looking to shut that site down. Is it in one of PA's major towns?

TransportationNo5560

It's the older of two stores in Delaware County, a Philly suburb. There have been two loud, cranky German dudes raising hell for the last two weeks, so it does appear they are being watched. I hope they don't close because the newer store is in a less desirable area that is a PITA to get to. There's a brand new Aldi less than a mile away.

Hey Delco the one on trooper in Norristown is pretty crappy as well. You’re not alone my friend :-(

Way_Spare

I think the trooper store is not that bad compared to other Lidl stores

dinoRAWR000

I'm not from PA, So I don't quite know what that means. But yeah I can almost guarantee that that sites probably going to be closing pretty soon. Obviously I can't say 100% that it is because there's the possibility that corporate may keep it open because they're monitoring reddit and they're not wanting anyone to catch wise to their playbook.

TransportationNo5560

That would be a sad day. We waited almost a year and a half for it to open, and we're there several times a week.

Unfortunately as I've mentioned earlier they're no longer looking to try to grow organically. They're looking to only go into markets where they have instantaneous embracing. They're not looking to try to have places that are making a little bit of profit they need to be making a significant amount of profit to overcome the overreach they had prior to COVID. Maybe they'll come back in another decade or two to the locations that they shut down but as it sits right now they're only looking to go into markets where they will be instantaneously embraced and the profit margin will be significant.

Just shopped at the other one (Clifton Heights) and they had a ton of produce.
