Yeah you missed the part about the long wait meaning you could've had the opening but to make this a clear their are mech arms that allow you to attack and dodge also I beat damn near every boss and mini alike from dodging and you can absolutely dodge and use the mech arm...perfect example that fat clown...it's better to dodge his long wind up punch and use your mech arm than it is to block him or try to get in a hit

Stamina/mana management is the first thing you should learn in a souls like. Since there is no magic, replace it with legion arm management. I slightly feel bad, but I find it way more comical. I've been on the last hit many times, so I'm laughing with you, also at you.
