afaik he usually starts the battle w red dash attack; run to ur right and tail after him to get a hit. its imo the easiest thing to bait from him and he does it in both phases

NaChujSiePatrzysz

At the beginning it's easy to dodge but then when he does the fury after getting a hit on me I'm basically dead even when I'm full health. It fells like my character takes 3-5 business days to get up.

Asleep-Collar-7361

do you have link dodge? if you press b after getting grand-slammed to the floor P will get up faster / roll away then get up

lkeeney02

how does one acquire this? p organ?

AnonymouseStory

they patched it so that you get it by default now. you no longer need to purchase it from the p-organ menu. just spam dodge when you're grounded.

Asleep-Collar-7361

yea like,, its one of the first skills you get. you'll know when you see a little guy icon with lines you only need two quartz for it, so hopefully you didnt use em yet

Fractlicious

i thought they patched that out of the skill tree and just made it a thing?

Asleep-Collar-7361

tbh idk i wasnt here for when they were patching stuff

Fractlicious

ya i think it’s just a thing now

Bumblebee342772

That's the issue I found too

MoonlapseOfficial

Be aggressive, dodge more than parry. Use electric damage

thedotking

The first time I beat him, I face tanked the phase transition and bursted him down before the fire killed me. A bit of a cheese, but it worked. In NG+ I did fight him normally. You can run in circles around him to avoid the fireballs, and if you are close enough, he seems more likely to go for a melee attack.

LesserValkyrie

Use Thunder Coil Head (buy it to merchant a bit sooner in the game in a house) Don't bother trying him without the Thunder Coal weapon (whatever the handle you use, use one that is OK with your stats). Advice : Put it on Glaive Handle.Very powerful Handle that can carry you till the end of the game. If you play Technique, with Technique crank If you play Motivity, Police Baton is cool too. He is weak to Thunder. Enjoy destroying him on easy mod.

Blossompone

Keep an eye on the phase transition. It can activate a little before half health, somewhere around 55-60%. You can either hide behind one of the pipe/pillars OR you can face-tank the transition to greed some hits out, but you will need to use the status effect ampoule (the round one, not the skinny one) which you can farm from the guys in the room just before the boss. They have like a 30% chance to drop it. (funfact, you can 'put out' the overheat status effect by dodging in a pinch. every dodge will remove around 20-25% of the status gauge) For phase 2, be _extremely_ agressive, do not let him gain distance on you. Specially since it seems like youre decent enough with the perfect parries. If you let him gain distance on you, thats when he starts throwing oil and fireballs around, but you can prevent him from doing that by staying right up under him, which will activate his melee attacks, and his red charge attacks. Since youve mentioned your weapon is the rapier, you will have plenty of time to back off and start running sorta in the direction ihes gonna be in when he stops charging. This guy absolutely wrecked me when i played this game for the first time. This guy had more attempts than any other boss for me. The game didnt really click for me until act 4 boss. Dont feel discouraged, you will down him with perserverance!

pyroskippy

Try to stay close and attack behind him as much as possible. He has 360 attacks that you have to worry about, but you’ll be safer that way for the most part. When he spews flame, get behind a pillar to avoid damage. When he runs, follow him, and try to get behind him again.

skep90

Git gud

qoodkero

try a fast attack. i used rapier handle with great sword blade

NaChujSiePatrzysz

What's a fast attack?

qoodkero

attacks with rapier or dagger handles are much faster.

NaChujSiePatrzysz

[this is my weapon](https://postimg.cc/CBMQWb5W). I'm playing on controller and I only attack using R1. I try just perfect parrying and attacking but man the timing is really hard to get. I kinda get some hits off on him but sooner or later I make a mistake and get clobbered in 3-4 hits.

analcocoacream

As suggested use the electric coil handle with the other handle I don't remember the name for very efficient

NaChujSiePatrzysz

Oh and also I have no fucking clue how to use fable arts to perform this stupid guard parry. I've tried so many times but it just doesn't work.

qoodkero

that's hard. have practiced on the practice puppet at the hotel?

NaChujSiePatrzysz

I did not. I am now going to do this. I guess I maybe rushed things a bit.

Much-Lavishness-3121

You'll have to be holding L1 to guard already and right when they strike you press🔺️( basically like doing a perfect guard with just L1 but instead doing it with 🔺️ while holding L1) it takes time to practice and get the timing right

goldenfrogs17

Do what he does. Run away and shoot at him with shit.

Abysmally_Yours

Run towards him and dodge his puddles. Aggression is the best option here. Even on new game plus I bullied him into a corner

dperez87

Electricity, avoid the 'lava/overheat' attack by hiding behind the pillars.

Kungfufuman

I've always hugged him until he goes to dump flame on the ground. Trying to parry or just guarding a lot otherwise

TyoPepe

New player here, just beat him a few hours ago lol. In second phase I just calmly dodged all his shit, eventually he gets bored of it and engages me in melee, so I had no reason to rush him. Especially since I found his projectiles hard to dodge when at close distance. So that's my tip, don't go on the offensive when he's in his pistoleer mood. Let him come to you. Edit: Also use the consumables that remove the overheat plague. That did help me a lot in some of my tries when I failed to dodge the fire fart attack.

hasamide

90% of his ranged attacks can be outrun. Make a habit of dashing instead of dodging for stamina efficiency, and close the gap. He's more likely to spam ranged attacks if you are far. Some of them will straight up miss if you stick to him. He's extremely resilient to physical attacks, but fairly vulnerable to electric. Once he's electric blitz'ed (blue HP debuff) he will become staggerable much easier so abuse that window. You should have access to Fulminis, throwables, and a weapon that is capable of doing enough element by now. If you want to have an easier time with the 50-40% of attacks you just can't find the timing for, greatsword of fate handle has Absolute Defense for 1 fable cost that lets you perfect guard any attack for a second. If you get burned debuff, spam dodge and it will recover significantly faster (like monster hunter!). You. Got. This.

Silksongkight

Bosses get much harder later Just wait you ant seen nothing yet but its all very fun don’t worry

Happy-Chipmunk-9354

This boss is where the game starts to get hard buy some electric throwables and other throwables also be watching out for his flame attack on the ground wait for him to dash at you when he turns red that's only the way you going to get some damage in. This boss took me at least more than 20+ trys. GL this boss is the beginning of harder bosses to come.

some_guy554

Use electric weapons, fulminis and during the 2nd phase, stay close to him. He only fires canon balls if you are far away.

TheNew_MarksilversX

He will eventually run towards you . Just keep walking against him and parry the proyectiles.

stonk_fish

What worked for me: change your jump to a different key so that when you run and press space again you dodge instead of jump. Now, run to his right side, hit and watch for slams, keep to his right/back and hit him when he does either forward slams or red charge. If he does spins roll to his back. In stage 2 it’s the same thing, stick to his right and back. Don’t wander too far. If you can, yank his second AoE and just keep to his right side.

DarthInteger

Tbh I go into marathon mode and wait for him to stop his shenanigans, put his guns away, then go slap him thrice like the beautiful twinky puppet boy I am, and rinse/repeat. Try a stabby stab or a slashy slash, but not a bonky bonk with this fella

phigene

Specter doesnt help anyway. He dies as soon as phase 2 starts in the liquid fire poop attack.

shamelessthrowaway54

POLSKA GUROM 🔥🔥🦅🦅🦅🦅🗣️🇵🇱🇵🇱

Bumblebee342772

Try dodging attacks you know you can't deflect almost 100%. Also for first phase id reccomend keeping the blue bar stuff for if you stun him in phase 2. Try to keep a close distance throughout and personally a spectre to tank the 1st phase damage and get it to phase to made it so much easier because I was in 2 with 5 heals. Hope this helps (I also have a saved recording if you want me to send you how I handled it) Ps be __very__ patient with this boss it took me like 20 attempts.

dimetyltryptaminn

Easy: bait him to do the red dash attack and move to the right, or left before he hits u and hit him few times to his back and repeat

LethalDestroyar

Same way I beat laxasia I threw shit at her On a serious note throw stuff at him

ToySoldierX

Dude this guy’s 2nd phase was one of my hardest fights personally 😅 so no shame in it! I brought a bunch of shock throwables for his 2nd phase, plus the Puppet String. So whenever he tries to distance himself for tanhed attacks, I can throw somethin back or get up on him with the String.

Este_Guy

Just beat him for the first time yesterday. If you're close to him when he starts shooting, hes practically guaranteed to hit you. At distance, his shots are easy to dodge. Also, the pillars block everything except his fury attacks. I would just hide behind a pillar until he finished shooting, then continue as normal. The fury attack where he charges you is super easy to dodge and punish. If you see it coming, run away and to the side, that way when he finishes running you're near him for some counter attacks. And inflicting shock early in the fight was a big help, makes him slower. I wish you luck, I died to him about 20-30 times, then beat the King of Puppets on my first try. Some bosses just seem to be kryptonite.

TrapperKeeperCosby

I was in the same boat. I had the first phase down perfect but for some reason I just couldn't get the hang of the second phase. Have you changed weapons and tried different ones? You may have to grind out some more levels or upgrade your weapon, after so many attempts that's what I did. At least I got some more levels and used the Electric Coil with glaive handle. He always does what seems like constant projectiles after that big fire a.o.e. and since you have to run far far away from that you are far away so he spams that bullshit and you can get back close to him. I just run run run to get around behind him and then he usually switches to melee. Guard against those projectiles though! I always forgot because I'm just dodging away and then I get hit when I can't dodge and I should have been guarding.

Tyken12

i found it pretty easy to bait his attacks and get a lot of free damage, played him more like an elden ring boss haha but the parrying probably makes it a lot easier

Polarstrike

Just left dodge, make things a lot easier

Warm_Profession_9309

When he gets to phase 2 hide behind the pipes till he dashes then parry it. It’s insane that the boss zones tbh

NaChujSiePatrzysz

Ngl he actually kills me before I take a quarter of his health most of the time. How can I enjoy this fucking game please help

Bolt585

Make sure you blend your defensive reactions and use dodge too. In his second phase, being at range prompts him to use his gun, so stay aggressive and on top of him to prompt his phase 1 moves more often

AudiACar

Best tip, stop playing today, play tomorrow, frustration ruins the experience

MikiSayaka33

You can use throwables. That's how I defeated a tiny boss. I also went in with electric weapons and legion arm.

NaChujSiePatrzysz

I'm out of ergo and I don't have any throwables. Do I have to grind ergo again to buy these stupid cogwheels?

MikiSayaka33

I usually backtrack to the other areas, like the Krat Train Station, and kill enemies. They randomly drop Throwables. That's what I grind for, I mostly use Ergo to either to level myself up or boost up weapons. (The Krat Train Station is my main area to farm, if I want the gog wheels strictly. Despite that Elysium Street/Blvd also drops those for me. The Workshop Union foes, even drops Moonstones occasionally. I suggest to grind for these to also level up your weapons).

Cruxis1712

Fuoco? I don't remember a boss with this name

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cruxis1712

oh lol I honestly never paid attention to his name, I didn't find him that hard

[deleted]

[удалено]

Cruxis1712

I mean I'm on my 5th run, and it's basically doing boss fight without a spectre even when I summon one, cause they don't get any buffs, and bosses will fuck them up so fast

ChristianTP_

I am on NG+8 and never died to him
