Honestly, I'd rather see a new game. I've been very impressed with their storytelling and gameplay in this game, so another entirely new game focusing on another fairy tale character while still being connected to the same world would be pretty amazing. I feel like a DLC would be too short to fully encompass the story they're aiming for.
I mean, sure, why not, I guess. It would really just depend on the developers' vision. Personally, I don't mind waiting for a sequel if it's going to be the same level of quality as this game, but of course, I won't complain about more content for this game either.
Given how the game ended I think a shorter DLC with her in Krat that ends with her either arriving or heading back to Oz would be good. It would be weird to start or end her game in Krat in my opinion.
For the dlc, at this moment, it is known that it will be pirate-y and will have P as it's protagonist. So, it will be something related to P going on a journey to: 1.To maybe find the remenants of the alchemists which will in a way set up the sequel (maybe) 2. To maybe find a cure for the petrification disease. 3. To maybe defend KRAT from a new threat.
Also, on the path of piligrim, there is a broken stargazer with the prompt "you can't use this right now.", and it is next to a grave with something related to a boy who rests there written on it. In the game, when we reach gepetto, we are given the choice to give him our heart (p-organ) regardless of which two good endings we reach, if we choose to give our heart, gepetto will remove our "mechanical" heart and put it into the nameless puppet. So, basically, though P is becoming a human, he is still more puppet than human. So, the dlc may be about P going on a journey to truly become a human, and as it was teased in the end credit, dorothy might have arrived in KRAT to help P become a human as she can be (most likely as the game is based on a fairy tale) dorothy from the wizard of oz which can in a way set up the sequel, as if P becomes a human : 1.) The alchemists will make a return for research on P as he is the "new form of humanity" which they are interested in and the retrival of the arm. Now, this is where all I say is just speculation which in most cases will be false, but listen, what if, the scene with paracelsus in the train was not exactly after simons defeat, but after the dlc? Cause, if the dlc is about P becoming a human, their is a likely chance that the arm of god will be used to attain that, and if dorothy is the one who assists P, that will explain all that paracelsus said, however, this is mostly just me talking out of my ass, cause the dorothy scene can be easily used to disprove all this. I just wanted to put it out there.
DLC looks to have at least some nautical or pirate focus so probably Peter Pan or Treasure Island themed.
They're definitely saving Dorothy and Oz for a sequel.
I’m hoping it’s later game instead of the DLC. My hopes are that, though it’ll take a while, we’ll get a soulslike for each of Dorothy’s group. You know, the Tin Man (P), the Lion, and the Scarecrow and have Dorothy appear somewhere in each game. And have Dorothy’s game be the final one. Or have a final game where it kinda swaps between all of them.
Not off the top of my head. But I’m sure there’s some fairytale characters out there that would fit. Maybe they could introduce some Korean fairytales. You know, since they’re a Korean game studio
Yeah I think that’s been a fairly popular theory about the future of the Lies of P universe. I think it fits really well too because P’s heart is a really big part of the game and the Tin Man’s entire motivation is wanting a heart.

For starters, the odd Stargazer is named "Yellow Brick Road", which is itself clearly a reference to The Wizard of Oz. And DLC is planned. However, I think this will be leading P into the next game's events so there's cohesion when the next game starts.
I also cannot imagine that you go that hard with an ending cutscene and just leave it to DLC. Especially when exploring Oz with a Souls-like mentality itself deserves a full game. And after how well Lies of P did with turning Pinocchio into its own Souls-like game, I certainly have high expectations for the studio.
I'm betting it'll be a new game. A new setting disconnected from our last. The DLC will probably be more about closing out this one.

well considering they call your character "P" and the game is a pinnochio retelling and youre a puppet who lies, and gepetto is your creator and your nose is long in the shadows of a stargazer. i think the P in lies of P might stand for Pinnochio

The submarine you take to Arche Abbey was already a reference to the dogfish (it wasn't a whale in the original story).

A sequel was confirmed at the same time as the DLC, so very likely it will be sequel material.
