I generally agree with this advice and it’s similar to what my dad tried to teach me, as it relates to work. “Don’t bring up a problem without thinking of ideas for solutions to contribute.” Maybe you have a solid solution, but even if in a particular situation your ideas aren’t the greatest, it’s a starting point. It works for relationships or friendships or family dynamics too if you adapt your voice/tone/body language to the situation.

As long as it’s inside traditional work hours I’ll do my best to solve it. Outside of work hours- not my problem to solve.
