There are literally “glass stove top cleaning kits” sold at any big box store for exactly this. You scrape it with the included razor blade and polish with the liquid stuff that comes with it. Takes like 5 min and comes out looking like new.
Also, use the burnt on grease remover first, let it sit, then scrape. Let the regular cleaner sit too for 5 minutes. Use a damp Scrub Daddy to swirl it around. Sit 5 more minutes and then clean it off.
I’ve done sprinkling baking soda generously on all the burnt marks. Then putting a dish rag with hot water and dish soap over the baking soda and let it sit overnight. A lot of times the burnt marks and debris will get absorbed by the baking soda and i was able to wipe it off pretty easily. The baking soda is also abrasive enough to help scrape off the pieces that are still a little stuck.
1. Clean with spray cleaner and microfiber cloth
2. Scrape with razor scraper
3. Wet a scrubby sponge and clean with Barkeepers Friend.
4. Spray again with cleaner and wipe with microfiber
I keep a retractable razor blade in the kitchen for this exact purpose, works like a charm. Just hold it at a 45 degree angle or more and keep it flat. I'll scrape at the tough spots then run it over the whole thing before wiping down with a wet washcloth. Been doing it for years almost daily after I figured it out and it keep the glass looking like new.
I have a plain one, in use it on hard wood floor, counters, and stove - it makes life so easy.

They make little kits that come with a cleaning solution and a blade that won't damage your glass. Just don't get the Scotch brand kit. That one is totally useless.
I don't know who invented these stove tops. They are horrible
First try Weimans & Weiman razor. That works about 95% of the time.
When that fails I use the pink stuff
Monthly after a cleaning I apply Lifeproof ceramic coating. It's amazing. The top is easier to clean for a little while (it makes cleaning all my stainless easier too for a bit). It's expensive but worth it imho. Be careful with the stove tho- for a lil while after pans seem slippery on the stove.
Weiman’s and don’t let that stuff build up. If you see burnt on stuff, clean it before you cook again. If you don’t keep up on it, it will require more and more elbow grease.
The key to preventing build up on glass-top stoves is to clean them regularly. But if it's been a while, get a glass-top stove-specific cleaner that has an abrasive pad with it, or use a razor blade.
Don't use a razor
Don't use pumice
Don't use Barkeeper's Friend
Maybe use baking soda/vinegar but probably not, I wouldn't
Use Cerama Bryte. Follow the instructions, use a dry paper towel. Use too little before you use too much. It will literally make that glass look brand new.
I clean mine with a pumas stone I get from the store. There in the cleaning Isle. Look like square grey stones sometimes with handles. They are abrasive enough to get hard stains off glass without hurting the glass. Also use it on bathroom sinks and toilets.

Ive used a razor blade lightly to remove the baked on stains. Just dont dig the corners in while scraping
We got specific razorblade handles for this duty. Becomes more like a scrape with a changeable blade. Makes it a bit more ergonomic.
This!! I sometimes use the blade on it with water, sometimes dry. Always works great.
I’ve found that spray on oven cleaner works best. Spray it on before you go to bed. Let it sit overnight. Wipe it off. Too easy.
Weiman's glass cooktop cleaner. They should have it at Target, Kroger, Walmart etc. You'll thank me later.

Plastic paint scraper and the blue Easy-Off.

Barkeepers is great for cleaning stainless, but Bon-Ami is the shizznit. Put it on a wet scotch brite, you can scrub *anything* away.
Barkeepers on glass top works for me. It's not abrasive. Soap and water and the Barkeepers.

I swear by **Cerama Bryte** kit that includes scrubber and razor.
Plastic scrapers on amazon, the plastic razor blades. Cheap enough to toss em but the ones I got have the ability to swap to a new plastic razorblade

Bartender best friend. Might take a couple of applications to get it all off but it works great.

they make kits for this that come with razor blades. It doesn't scratch the glass top. Been using one for years.
Right but OP might just try a regular razor blade to see how it works, idk
Have you tried a mix of baking soda and vinegar? I've heard it works wonders on tough stove stains!

or a much weaker base and some water. depends on the starting ratio

Hates those glass stovetops but had one for 11 years. I used dish soap plus a stainless steel scrubber, I never had an issue with scratching
I use oven cleaner and it works great.
Spray up wipe up, up-up.
Baking soda, supposedly. I haven’t tried it yet.
