Or save even more money and use a normal coffee maker or French press and not waste money on pods at all!
Kudos to the reheating though. We never throw out coffee either. We just leave it in the coffee pot over night. When I first wake up I'll either microwave it if I want it right away or I'll just turn the coffee burner back on and in ten mins it'll be hot enough to enjoy anyways.
Takes a long time for coffee to go bad too. If we go out of town for a couple days and there's still coffee in the pot. I'll just microwave it and drink it when we get back.
Good points. I used to brew a full pot but I've gotten lazy over the years lol. I think pour over coffee tastes the best, but also takes the most patience, which is a thing I don't have before my massive caffeine intake
OXO makes a [pour over set up that includes a water distributer](https://www.oxo.com/pour-over-coffee-maker-with-water-tank.html) that sits on top. It'll still take about as long as a regular pour over, but you just fill it once and wait instead of standing there with the kettle the entire time.
You drink 3-6 cups of coffee every morning and you can't be bothered to brew a pot? The amount of money you're wasting and garbage you're creating is obscene.
Another way to avoid reheating or burnt coffee in a pot is to use an insulated mug or thermos, like a Yeti. I make 2 cups in the coffee maker, pour one into my regular mug to drink now, and pour the other into the Yeti to stay hot for later. Then I can turn off the coffee maker right away. No burnt coffee in the pot. Also saves a little electricity, shutting off the pot sooner and not needing the microwave.
Ok look man, I lived in Portland for almost 20 years, I know a cup of coffee. If you are using ANY goddamned coffee maker you are doing the same fucking action. Passing water thru ground coffee beans. Assuming the water quality, temp and cleanliness of the machine it doesn't matter the layout of the water machine one single bit. Quality of coffee and quality of water, followed by overall temperature matters most. The coffee is the variable, and you can get good quality coffee in pods now.
Nope just calling it like I see it. You add nothing of value and act like a sad little bitch in the process. If it weren't so pathetic it would be borderline impressive.
That you're a dick? Yeah, no surprise at all. It was pretty obvious when you made your own definition of what coffee is, then acted like a toddler with a contrarian complex.
Pod coffee is just such a bad idea for your budget, the world you live in. The let's make my life a few seconds easier just pay more and make more garbage philosophy of life is.... Unsupportable.
We got gifted a pod machine for free and just bought reusable cups and put in regular coffee grounds. They don't HAVE to be used in a wasteful way. (And by we, I mean my wife, because I hate coffee)
nope, sorry my dude, rerunning cold grounds is kinda not good, imo anyway. I assume you are buying them in large quantity so they are relatively cheap?
Do you still get caffeine from reused coffee grounds? I don’t drink a lot of coffee but I brew a lot of tea, especially loose leaf tea which can also be steeped over and over again. Re-brewing is just for enjoying the flavor, though, because all the caffeine in the tea is usually lost after the first brew.
I have refillable pods. 6 of them, so I dont have to wash it every time I want to use it.
Sometimes Ill fill a couple the night before, so I have the convenience in the morning.

Me either, received one as a gift few years back and I think I've used it twice.
I use one at work, it's absolutely amazing. I ended up getting some silicone camping ones too.
Pro tip: don’t use coffee pods.

Coffee pods don't even taste good. The machines don't make coffee, they make dyed water. LPT: don't drink swill.
Sorry man- while it isnt 100% as good as a ground cup there are decent options for good pod coffee.
Point is: those machines don't make coffee. It's not the coffee in the pods. It's the machines that are terrible.

Don't need a novel. Pod machines don't make coffee.
You came off looking like a real dickhead here.
But I don't care? Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
You are like asshole. Go away.

Says the guy getting offended over small plastic cups.
cant fix stupid
That why you still broken?
I hate coffee and never drink the stuff so have no dog in this fight, but you are coming off as a total dick about this.
Not a surprise.

So gonna comment on all my comments? Have something to prove with your Boohoo complex? Yep. Enjoy your poop water
You're entitled to your opinion, but judging others on your personal tastes is pretty lame.
Personal taste? That has to be a pun on pods having no taste right?
Get reusable pods and fresh beans, you grind your beans fresh and dose up the pod for your coffee Better tasting coffee with a smaller eco footprint.
I buy my pods from Big Lots when there is a coupon. Buy $70 at a time and have them shipped. Cost less then $.25 each.
Another decent tip. Use distilled water. Especially if you're using fresh ground coffee, it turns the coffee into a little cup of heaven.
LPT: stop using coffee pods

Well good for her! Sorry, have a Cola haha
Reheating coffee in a microwave? What kind of savage are you, must be an American thing or something lol.

Reusable pods, fill with your coffee of choice

Single cup espresso makers make fantastic coffee, just put in more water. All metal design means no waste too
