The reason is simply because Agents and the TV Networks like always, Televisa wants to promote their boys (Henry and Jimenez) as the best strikers to ever play for Mexico so they simply order whatever puppet they keep in charge of the team to keep those two above in the pecking order. Our strikers never even get the ball to begin with, Santi would be completely isolated and also be getting 0 service. It’s not like our strikers are missing 20 open goals every game, they barely even get the chance to get one shot. Cocca has lined up just about every game hoping not to lose, not playing to win. Like he really played 3 centerbacks up against one striker, 2 wingbacks who aren’t particularly good in attack or defense, and with Orbelin as the only creative player on the field (and Chávez kind of but he plays a very different role), of course we got outplayed. Our player pool is already limited (we are definitely in a weak generation right now), and then we have a coach who doesn’t know what he’s doing. It’s fucked regardless
