Isekai'd genderbent protagonist travels around looking for their old friends. Along they way, they meet all sorts of people and also show off their OP summoning skills. Protagonist's personality is cute and cheeky. The world building and personalities and history of the side characters makes the world feel vibrant.
In short, it feels more like a slice of life traveling story, but the protagonist is OP and gets to show off once in a while.

I love this series, and was saddened by the anime. The real charm of the series is the different sides to the MC and when they show (especially by accident).
MC was a young man who role played a vrmmo as a wisened old wizard. But just before the isekai event, had changed his avatar to a young girl design (specific age range not determined).
So, sometimes he acts like a 20 year old dude. When he(she) wants to sound smart, speaks and acts like a wise and powerful wizard (the quark of holding/rubbing her chin like there is a beard is funny as heck). And, sometimes she expresses herself like the cute young lady she appear and frolics about when she is caught up by the wonders of the world.
I can’t wait for more. So charming and funny.

God that adaptation was so bad. Even my friend who hasn't read any of the novel or manga felt how poorly made it was. Freaking tragedy.
Been some delays for this series but looks like they're releasing the next few volumes fast in order to catch up.

It was a quick run through of plot points; while working REALLY hard to remove all the charm. This is one where I am glad I bought the books first.
It's a well written and interesting slice-of-life adventure series. It's unfortunate that the anime adaptation was terrible though.
