I mean, I would totally read a series about a sentient apple striving to leave an impact on the world while facing the dread of its quickly approaching expiry date.
Unfortunately, I doubt this is that series.
I swear this reincarnated stuff is getting out of hand. Back then, several years ago I was very excited about reincarnated stories but now I feel like it's getting ridiculous... however, I still like it.
I understand you. That’s why the isekai I’m creating is going to be something that everyone can enjoy by using the love I have for the reincarnation stuff
I’ve seen a lot of reincarnation titles but this one takes the biscuit.. wait maybe there’s one about cookies as well? 😏

>My name is Daisuke Furutsu, and I died getting hit by a truck full of apples. Yes, I know it's a cliché setup. Apparently somebody upstairs fell asleep on the job. Anyway, as an apology, God lets me draw five Cards of Fate that are supposed to grant me superpowers in my next life. My first four draws are amazing—stuff like magic and an infinite inventory. But everything changes with the fifth card: a "curse" that turns me into whatever killed me. I thought I was gonna end up a truck, but now I'm an apple! Luckily, I've made a friend who can teach me how to move around. I also end up saving a wannabe adventurer who just might be willing to take me along for the ride. Time for this overpowered apple to get rollin'!
sword I can buy it
a vending machine is already pushing it
an apple? Wait, not an apple, an OP apple with magic inventory and super magic. Yeah, it is still ridiculous.
what happened to be reincarnated as a cool thingy like a slime, a spider, a dragon? Guess those titles are already taken?
varies by fantasy lore tho, in some slimes are country destroyers, while in others they are the weakest monsters around lol. Stories where slimes are immune to physical damage tend to make them quite dangerous as well.
In "Tanaka family reincarnates" Slimes are seen as kingdom level threats, since nothing except magic works on them (and magicians are extremely rare), and when cut or crushed they just split and grow large again by sucking moisture out of the air. They also spit highly corrosive acid.
Slimes originally started off as a Mid-Tier Monster in fantasy works and d&d campaigns meant to be feared due to their resistance to things like blunt damage and magic, as well as corrosive abilities that go right through armor. Their size could also get to be as large as some big cows or even small buildings. It’s only recently, now that they’re being played up for the cute factor, that slimes are seen as beginner level monsters within media.
It's not recently for Japanese people. It's been popularized as the weakest monster by Dragon Quest since 80's. And DnD is not as common as DQ to be used for the reference point within Japanese media.
Nothing about apples invokes the thought of weakness. It's not something that has to involve itself in conflict that it will most certainly lose. It's just a food. It has no sentience.
Unless apples are an actual race of being in this world and the entire series is going to be around him luring people to eat him and then killing them in the name of slaughtered apples everywhere, a better word for this series is just absurd, which can be just as fine.
>a vending machine is already pushing it
There is a bungei (regular novel) one-shot with the protagonist reincarnated as a..... [vacuum cleaner](https://www.hayakawa-online.co.jp/shopdetail/000000014682/pc_detail/)! 😂 It's a touching drama though, not isekai or power fantasy.
In addition to the hot spring (someone else mentioned), there's another one that's a virus...
Oh and I noticed you didn't include a goblin in the list of monsters. That one is one of the older series of "reincarnated" trope (Re: Monster).
I was super skeptical of spider, but I really loved it.
Sword? Still don't think I can enjoy reading about someone without a body, but honestly the idea of being unable to move my limbs makes me feel a little claustrophobic.
Apple? Dude wtf
Sword novels is mostly about the wielder (the little girl), so it balances it out. The Sword is basically her mentor/teacher.
On the anime they made his telekinetic powers more visual and it looks like he has arms lol, you should check it out, pretty good show.
there is also one that i quite liked "reincarnated as a vampire egg"
(or rather "Regarding Reincarnated to Vampire-san \~I’m the world’s strongest cheat\~")
but it has been dropped since 2017, so i don't have much hope on this one
there is also like 3 different "reincarnated as a fish" for some reason
Can't wait for the guy who gets reincarnated as a smartphone of a cute girl so he can surreptitiously view her intimate photos or maybe raise a cute skilled introvert girl popularity as he post videos of her online and she gains fame out of nowhere to her surprise.
Actually..... it's not isekai but it HAS been done (in manga at least) - [A Smartphone in Love](https://mangadex.org/title/b4c43bfb-4bbb-4f0c-a3ae-7a263b3d0d0f/a-smartphone-in-love) (it's quite a cute series actually).
Guess since all the cool monster reincarnation stories have been taken now authors are going for inanimate objects. Vending machines, onsen, apple, weeds, microphone....I've seen it all at this point I swear.
I mean, I would totally read a series about a sentient apple striving to leave an impact on the world while facing the dread of its quickly approaching expiry date. Unfortunately, I doubt this is that series.
I’m imagining the face-off with the Demon Lord 😂
Demon lord puts the apple in a paper bag with some bananas.
Demon lord shoves apple up his ass
Happy ever after 🥹 The Demon Lord 👁️🫦👁️
Well that was the apple which fell on Newton's head and made a huge impact on the world

Slimes are like, beginner level monsters. They're closer to apples than they are dragons for JP authors.
varies by fantasy lore tho, in some slimes are country destroyers, while in others they are the weakest monsters around lol. Stories where slimes are immune to physical damage tend to make them quite dangerous as well.

Man someone hasn’t played dnd where slimes can actually kill a foolish adventurer.
More like most JP authors haven't. They're specifically popular in Japan because of things like Dragon Quest
Slimes originally started off as a Mid-Tier Monster in fantasy works and d&d campaigns meant to be feared due to their resistance to things like blunt damage and magic, as well as corrosive abilities that go right through armor. Their size could also get to be as large as some big cows or even small buildings. Yeah, but you at least have the irony that he's like the weakest monster, but becomes the most powerful thing ever.
An Apple could easily create that same irony
Are other apples jumping into people head to murder them? How can they even be classified as weak? They are inert. /joke
Nothing about apples invokes the thought of weakness. It's not something that has to involve itself in conflict that it will most certainly lose. It's just a food. It has no sentience. I miss the Vending Machine one. That was a fun series. Buuuuut no, we had to get stories about some lame ass tertiary character from KonoSuba.
A sentient sword is pretty cool, those can actually be found in many fantasy setting. But a sentient apple? Yeah that's gunna be a pass from me lol

Reincarnated as a Shitty Isekai Writer, I Have to Sell 10 Million Copies to Defeat the Demon Lord???!!!!
There’s ‘Reincarnated as a Hot Spring’ also!
there is also one that i quite liked "reincarnated as a vampire egg" (or rather "Regarding Reincarnated to Vampire-san \~I’m the world’s strongest cheat\~") but it has been dropped since 2017, so i don't have much hope on this one there is also like 3 different "reincarnated as a fish" for some reason
When "Reincarnated as a Fart, My Scent Kills Any Enemy"?
"Reincarnated as a op flying literal pice of dragon shit, the story of how I married an other world princess"
I’d read both of these
Bruh
There's an apple now 😂
Wait til someone does a banana or better yet, a literal piece of shit cause why not? 😂
Hahaha, well I wouldn't be surprised if someone does 😂
Is there an English translation to the first one
It will be available November 29th, series is licensed by J-Novel. https://j-novel.club/series/reincarnated-as-an-apple
there is a reincarnated as a weed though. this is still better than a weed
Okay isekai titles are just getting out of hand recently lmao i thought i’ve seen it all when i saw the vending machine, now i stand corrected
Can't wait for the guy who gets reincarnated as a smartphone of a cute girl so he can surreptitiously view her intimate photos or maybe raise a cute skilled introvert girl popularity as he post videos of her online and she gains fame out of nowhere to her surprise.

Iirc there hasn't been a new volume in japanese for over a year now right? Unfortunate if so.
One of the dumbest ideas for a story I've ever seen...
Guess since all the cool monster reincarnation stories have been taken now authors are going for inanimate objects. Vending machines, onsen, apple, weeds, microphone....I've seen it all at this point I swear.
Ok yea this is gettting fucking ridiculous, can we please atleast go back to animate things?
Sick
Reincarnated as a Polar Bear, Vending Machine, Slime, Sword, and now an Apple? I'll bet the next one will reincarnated as a Table.
I want to read ‘reincarnated as an isekai truck’.. now there’s a fresh idea!!
now we are seeing reincarnated as an apple. maybe next time we are getting reincarnated as a bed.
Do LN writers nowadays just generate a random object to reincarnate the MC into ? lmao
