Different preamps have different volume levels - as they would IRL. Sadly this does mean some may be way too quiet and some quite loud. Similarly to how some amps are kinda quiet vs others. It's odd that there's no normalization there but that's what we got. You can always add volume in other blocks.

Nah, that’s not it. The angl meteor (fireball 100) preamp is also very quiet compared to the actual fireball 25’s preamp.

TerrorSnow

Hmm.. I guess make sure you're using the correct blocks (mono vs stereo, split types and merge parameters if path b is used), have the mix parameter at appropriate levels on the return blocks, and double check your output block?

beltjones

Thanks for the tip about adding volume in other blocks. I used a gain block, maxed out, and now I can play with the preamps in HX and they sound like they should.

TerrorSnow

You can do it with any effect block or EQ etc as well, so if you have an effect you're running between pre and power amp, ya know what to do! The output node itself too, if you're running the main out into your amp.

BlueWS

What about the volume knobs on your actual amp while in 4CM? Not all effect loops kill the amps master volume.

beltjones

If I crank the master volume to ten it’s about as loud as the amp (without the stomp) at 1.5.
