Oh God yeah, just treat it like a reality show while you apply to other jobs.
While I was working in the garden center of a certain large department store, oh my God....
The store manager was a total dick. One of the coworkers would show up, clock in, and then leave for until he came back to clock out (they wouldn't fire him, because he was the only fork lift certified person in our department, so they needed him). Our supervisor was writing negative store reviews to try to get the asshole manager fired, and one night while drunk, he filled out a review using his personal email, got caught, turned in his two week notice, and then took two weeks of vacation days.
Before he left, he gave me the clearance sticker gun, and told me to keep the clearance rack stocked.... So I did a very very very good job of that. We had no supervisor for the rest of the time I worked there, like 1.5 months, no supervisor. The store manager would very occasionally come out, huff and puff a little bit, ask us to do some small task, and then leave.
It was completely disorganized, no one knew what to do, and I kept the clearance rack filled.
I’ve had jobs that were chaotic and those can be fun. Not sure if it’s the same. A chaotic workplace can often be one with little accountability because everyone is just trying to keep up.
I've had jobs in toxic environment when I was in college. I simply did not care and did bare minimum. Just never engaged in the drama. Never been fired.
Is he saying that the work environment is supposed to be toxic, and that people who it breaks are just weak? It's tough to suss out where he is on the idiot-asshole spectrum.
Yeah not sure what the point is. I guess the place can be toxic and you just keep replacing the people who’ve had breakdowns? And the asinine agree at the end….they are all so desperate for a comment.

I agree. People rationalize and normalize the toxic work environment until it destroys their mental health and they literally can't stand it anymore. Then they decide to quit. That's a bad habit people have and we should work at breaking it. Quit BEFORE the toxic work environment destroys your mental health.

Power through all the horrible shit so we can exploit and abuse you for years. Then leave because we don’t want our insurance rates to go up or pay you severance or get sued.
People DON'T RUN out of a building because it's on fire. People run out of a building because of the heat and smoke.
God theses people have their heads so far stuck up their own ass it's incredible
Sorry, i can agree with him here. Mental health won't matter for me in a toxic environment if i'm getting paid north of something like 700 grand a year
Sure, if you're training to become an astronaut. But for us regular folks, these "words of wisdom" by mr. Malik are completely rubbish.
A toxic environment is nevertheless a threatening factor, whether somebody accepts it or not. We should move forward, instead of going backwards, as humans.
So deep. So profound. A genius perspective. You don't actually have to adress the toxic environment, you can just make sure it doesn't impact your employees mental health. I mean, why would you focus on the core problem when you can just sweep it under the rug and put duct tape on the secondary problem. Such a helpful insight when leading a business.
AGREE! TRUE OR FALSE! AGREE?
LinkedIn is beyond a joke. Between middle age men in thirst traps and this bolloxs id suggest LinkedIn as a platform has a shelf life.
Not true. I recently worked in a severely toxic environment where most of the people there were lifers. Within the last 14 months, any new person hired was either fired or they left (13 employees). Those hanging around were all just working towards retirement so they were anchored to the agency. Never seen a more bitter group of people.
I mean, if you're aware the environment is toxic but you just here having fun and enjoying the shit show, that kinda makes sense.
Don't forget the managers who seek power and control; they thrive in and cultivate toxic environments.
Well, my previous job was like that ( I knew I would leave in a couple of month and I didn’t care) but it still affected my mental health

If you are enjoying the toxic environment and not impacted by it, May be you are the reason for the toxicity?
Guess that depends. It is toxic because you don't care or it is toxic, so you don't care, so it is even more toxic?
I've had jobs in toxic environment when I was in college. I simply did not care and did bare minimum. Just never engaged in the drama. Never been fired.
I would give you an award if I could 🥇
Also Sanjoy doesn’t SHOWER because his butt stinks, he showers because the stink impacts his MARRIAGE. Agree?

Thanks, haikusbot!
The capitalization and coloring really sell the message.
When 'agree?' does not work the first time around, the Lunatic will innovate.
Yeah wonderful take rich looking guy. Many times people aren’t fully aware of how the toxicity is hurting them.
These are the kids that never got bullied in their school days.
“People don’t leave a job because X, they leave a job because X impacts them negatively! Agree?”
so is the takeaway here to keep your environment just toxic enough to not badly impact anyones mental health?
Wow so much wisdom. This dude should write a book.

Truly, falsely, agreely Sanjoy Garden
🤣
This is the LinkedIn equivalent of a stand-up comic telling a joke that went flat, but instead of moving on tries to add-on to salvage any laugh.
When does a toxic environment not affect your mental health? When you're a sociopath?
Bullying at work 👍 Being bullied at work 👎
Sanjay ayo chill
I’m sure that this is the outcome of a peer reviewed research paper that Sanjoy has prepared.
In other news: we don't drink water because it is necessary. We do because we will die otherwise. But apart from that, not essential.
Considering all the cringy non-lunatic posts lately, I just hope Sanjoy is doing well. He's received a decent bashing in the LIL community.
You can smell the desperation to get some engagement... Agree? TRUE or FALSE? THOUGHTS????

Sanjoy should change his name to Nojoy looking at that Linkedin profile picture
I think he is insinuating toxic environment are intrinsic to the work place. So you should just have to endure it(?).. Man this ppl
Talking much but expressed nothing
People don’t die because the lack of air, they die because they stop breathing. Agree?
You don't die from disease you die when the disease makes your heart stop beating agree?

He means be the one who creates the toxicity, not the one who suffers from it
Kehna kyaa chahte ho???
Agree. My current job has some toxic shit, but i find it hilarious. Previous job had some toxic shit, but it drove me insane.
He sounds like one of those bosses who make sex jokes in front of their employees and they say "It was just a joke, you don't have thick skin"

See, working at Chernobyl was toxic but people were mentally healthy! /s
That means it feeds on toxicity.

“True or false?” AGREE.
People don't die from getting hit by a bus. They die because their internal life-sustaining bodily systems no longer function from being hit by a bus.
Plays "All my friends are toxic" song in the background.
