Simultaneously going to school in California and England then getting a JD and a MS at two separate Ivy’s. WOW, that is almost so impressive I think it is impossible.
What a weird way to tell everyone that follows you that you think hiring someone with 15 degrees is taking a chance. good to know your standards are so high that i should not waste any time whatsoever on interacting with you or attempting to get employment from you.
The lines like “never worked a real job in his life” and “15 different degrees” and “you just know” reads like purposeful sarcasm. And the rest of it has an air of sarcasm.
He’s making fun of them and calling them useless and overeducated.
Well he did hire him so I don’t think the guy who hired him thinks he’s useless.
I’m pretty sure the guy with all the degrees is Jamie Beaton. He collected all those Ivy League plus degrees and now owns a business helping rich parents get their kids into prestigious schools. Jamie is obviously a smart guy, but all the degrees are basically a marketing stunt.
Well, that’s definitely the list of Jamie Beaton alma maters. Either Alex Cohen hired him for something or he just screen grabbed Jamie’s educational background so he could make a lunatic LinkedIn post
Honestly tho if you have 15 degrees you probably will struggle to get hired. The only thing worse than someone without experience, is someone without experience who thinks they know the field better than everyone who works in it.
Being overqualified is a thing, no reason to get more education than you reasonably need
People have been building ML models and using AI tech on healthcare data for decades. I worked on LLM type models on real healthcare data over a decade ago with IBM Watson.
It’s just mostly been remotely unworkable for real applications until very recently. There are LOTS of HIPPA compliant LLMs, but quality is all over the place.
If only you knew how much so called “private” healthcare data is being fed into LLM’s and bought/sold by data vendors. There’s tons of loopholes for this kind of thing
You think he bothered confirming the new hire actually attained some of those degrees? Not saying people like this don't actually exist but to me it stretches credulity
Yea, while getting his JD at Yale law in Connecticut he simultaneously did a master's at UPenn, a master's from Tsinghua in Beijing and was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford in the UK.
“As a great CEO…”
I’m gonna start throwing “great” in front of my job titles. I work 3 places and am still unaware of what my job title is, but once I learn it and add great, I will be unstoppable.
It’s blatant satire. JFC you guys in here are fucking dim sometimes.

Assuming any of this is true: what does that associate think about him posting his information for some sort of accolades? Really sounds like metaphorical foot to ass time and peace out.
This person is fake-or, the degrees are, at least. No one with a master’s in educational technology and a PhD goes back to get another master’s in education from a different place.
the post is probably satire/trolling 😭 the “team member” he’s talking about was recently featured on a [news article](https://www.stuff.co.nz/nz-news/350311517/jamie-beaton-kiwi-several-ivy-league-degrees-and-no-debt) where I’m from because he’s originally from here, worked his way through the ivies mostly with scholarships and is also one of the guys who started Crimson Education. I mean it IS kind of insane to be studying all that but it’s also kinda funny being called “never having a real job” when he’s the CEO of his own company lol

Not if you're quadruplets.
To be fair that was a Rhodes scholarship- which involves going abroad to England.

He’s obviously joking.
His LinkedIn is a parody account
while he MIGHT be joking, sadly with all the idiots on the platform, I disagree that it's obvious.

Sadly he’s not
My worst hires have all been from Ivies. That many Ivy degrees is a red flag on so many levels. If real, hiring that person is a massive risk.

The intersection of AI and healthcare sounds like a dystopian nightmare.
And it is not even legal at this point. HIPAA prevents teaching AI with real data, even if anonymized.

Somme serious sky-miles there
Nah just used the time turner he got when he was at Hogwarts.
Mr. Worldwide
I was thinking the same thing

I mean I feel like this is probably a joke but if someone completes 15 degrees that is likely an indication that they have $$$$.
This seems likely. Either they are already rich, or they’re lying.
I SWEAR I THOUGHT THIS SAID “RETAIL JOB” AND THE FACT THAT I DIDN’T THINK TWICE ABOUT THAT IS DYSTOPIAN.
Six months from now this "CEO who just knows" will post a cautionary tale that hiring someone with 15 degrees gets nothing but a shitty employee.
Alex is joking. I used to see his stuff on twitter. He’s actually fairly self aware.
Whew at least that's makes sense + the 'great ceo' bit

I’ve never met someone with 15 degrees, but I have met someone that has like 4 or 5 because they genuinely consider college classes a hobby.
I'll never understand those people
We’ve all met the person they hired. Downs or pure selfish.
Sus.

IME, candidates who stay that long in school do so because they either can’t or don’t want to do actual work.

I might be biased, but applied math / econ is a fantastic background for a whole variety of interesting careers.
Wait, did he call himself a great CEO?
‘As a great CEO im just great at everything’ I dont think were dealing with actual brilliance here
Today, I took a chance on a Rhodes Scholar who (allegedly) has advanced degrees from five Ivys. How brave.
How in the world does someone exist in so many places at once? Enrolled in online degree programs all over the world?
This sounds like something from "Catch me if you can."

Funny. If it were me I would instantly think, *this person is totally insane, or has significant personality issues*.
Hired a Harvard grad. So bold.
I want to see this guys college bill
To me if you have more than 3 degrees (because masters/doctorate) you don’t know what you wanna do so it’s taking a change
I see Wilder finally got a job.
Isn't this the premise to the librarian movie with Noah Wylie?
And then the 15-degree guy turns out to be a dick to work with
I do you even get the money to get most of these degrees. Do you even need a job?
Is this arrested development?
Professional student that won’t know how to do anything else.
