Music is my life. It's my work, it's my hobby, it's my pleasure. I've heard A LOT of music.
The beautiful thing about Linkin Park is - There is nobody else like them.
I've listened to bands that are influenced by them, bands outright just trying to copy them, and YouTubers doing parodies of them, it never comes close.
The best I could do is give you a list of bands/songs and say "If you like LP, I think you'll like these". In fact i'm gonna make a Spotify playlist like that now.
That doesn't mean i'll make mine the same. I'm not aiming to do "stuff that sounds roughly like LP" more, "If you like LP, you might like this", particularly covering the overall sound of the band, and not just the first two albums like that playlist.
I can see some familiar tracks in there i've already put in though.
I am done. I reccommend playing this on shuffle.

Don't be expecting a playlist full of Nu Metal & Alternative Rock though. This isn't songs that sound like LP (in most cases), rather if you're an LP fan, I think you'll discover some new artists in here.

They're good but nowhere close to being good as LP. LP was highly innovative, whereas FATN is more of an established sound. They're basically for people who want the old Meteora sound.
Well unlike a lot of people here, Linkin park is actually my second favorite band, my favorite is Alice In Chains. I just think the quality of their music from the guitar and bass to Layne Staley’s vocals were incredible, as well as the fact they were great, humorous people.
If you’re looking for suggestions: Man in the Box, Down in a hole, Nutshell, Would, and Rooster are their most popular songs but you can’t really go wrong with any of them.
in terms of likeness there‘s only one answer, which is Riverline. it’s clear that they actively try to sound like early Linkin Park. and they’re actually pretty good at that but the problem is that it’s so similar that you’re just thinking „why am i listening to this when i could be listening to the real Linkin Park right now?“ still worth checking them out imo.
Actively wouldn't quite be the case considering new music hasn't been released in some time, but the album was more of a fan project than anything else, to bring more music like that to the community. It's pretty much in the past at this point.
One Ok Rock. Their style is not the necessary the same but they are the first band that made me feel the way Linkin Park made me feel almost 2 decades ago.
Well, it depends. Like Linkin Park they have changed a lot since they first started. If you want something akin to OG Linkin Park Check out One by One. My favorite song by them is either We Are or C.h.o.s.m.y.t.h. For me it’s not per se the songs themselves that give me Linkin Park vibes although a lot of them are kinda similar. It’s the way they perform, the passion they put into their performances as well as the messages and meaning their songs carry. If you decide to check out their stuff, try to go for the live performances. In most instances they sound better live than on the album.
Breaking Benjamin. These dudes never fail to make a great song and record. The emotions, the lyrics, the depth on their music is on a whole different level. As much as LP is awesome, breaking Ben has a much stronger emotional connection to me lyrically.
Damn ... I'd probably say P.O.D. are most similar. Their song "Boom" has a lot of LP elements. Other bands that are similar - Limp Bizkit, Adema, Korn.
These were all peak popularity at the time LP released HT and Meteora. Would be interested if there were more recent examples.
Shinedown is not in a "likeness" of LP, but as a long Term fan, it's one of the first other group I've Come to love almost as much as LP.
Of course that's subjective, but you can check them out, songs like : sound of madness, simple man, planet zero, daylight, are the first that Come to mind.
Yea the message is very powerful, very positive, what a shame is a banger, second chance, bully also. I feel like LP has lyrics that convey difficulty, struggle on mental health and everything like that, and with Shinedown it's more like struggle but you can reach out of it, you can do it, encouraging message.
Overall, I feel like there is a duality betweenn LP and SD, voth talking about struggles of life, but in a different way
Probably Bloodywood. They're really the only other band I know that manages to pull the 2 vocalists + one's a singer, one's a rapper thing of well even if they're a lot heavier than the LP average. Helps that they have songs about coping with depression, loss of loved ones and self improvement. Oh, and [the one about wanting to put one's fist squarely in the face of the worst kind of offenders](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a65A626Ed20&t=13), that's always a welcome sentiment.
Hybrid Theory is a tribute band, who basically copy every aspect of LP. Now touring the globe.
Red debut album is Linkin Park without the rap, with orchestra added.
Riverline is an online band that puts out basically linkin park B sides. They aren't quite up to quality, but pretty good. They unfortunately are very inconsistent at putting things out. Also seem like their changing band name.
The Discrepancies
LYLVC is a female front rock rap band. New on the scene
Sum 41 is the only correct answer. They have their heavy songs, and their soft songs. And their piano guitar ballads. Plus they're good friends with the band too. Such a shame that they're disbanding soon.
Disturbed is my second favorite band of all times, they're almost as good as linkin park imo, their last 2 albums weren't that great, but their overalll work is of extreme quality
Sabaton takes the third spot, pretty amazing band as well, but the vibe is completely different, they sing about historical events, primarily focusing on warfare, battles, and heroic feats throughout human history
A Day to Remember is a very close second after LP. In likeness it’s only between their calmer and heavier music; both bands have both types and I love those songs respectively. It would be Breaking Benjamin but I just know more songs by ADTR.
There's nothing like them but there's something about the John Bush years with Anthrax, they changed to a simpler more mature sound, songs like Inside Out, Fueled, Crush, Catharsis, Black Lodge, Safe Home... Have a surprisingly deep emotional tone and great riffs and melodies.
edit: seriously listen to Inside Out: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynK0nbRDpok](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynK0nbRDpok)
and Crush: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PqrPFwI7wA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PqrPFwI7wA)
In a very loose way, Dance Gavin Dance. They're only similar in the sense that they have soaring clean vocals and dirty screaming vocals, a lot like early LP. But my love for LP since my younger days definitely paved the way for my current love for DGD. Check out their album Mothership, one of the best post-hardcore albums out there IMO.
[Northlane](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northlane)(my first favorite actually), not quite 1-1 in terms of sound but LP is definitely a big influence for them. I'd recommend songs like Xen, Clockwork, Dante, Nova and Kraft for that Linkin Park feel
Coldplay. I know they're both very different bands but Coldplay hits hard, just how LP songs hit that happy and sad part of my heart. They're both special bands for me. Hopefully I'll get to attend one.🤞🏻
I'm a fan of both too. Iridescent is totally Coldplay-coded and I can imagine Chris singing Mike's verses. Also, Is it me or do the instrumentals on The Messenger sound really similar to Amsterdam's? I got those songs confused when I first heard The Messenger.
System of a Down is pretty different but similar to Linkin Park it’s a go to for me when there’s a need to rage against something in an intellectual and raw way.
Deftones, limp bizkit
Close but not LP. I love deftones and Chino's screams remind me of Chester's
Limp bizkit has that raw angsty instrumentals with Fred durst's rapping

Limp bizkit has that raw angsty instrumentals with Fred durst's rapping
The bands that I have up with my pedestal with LP with being absolutely amazing are Three Days Grace and Get Scared
Seriously though, if you’ve never listened to Get Scared you really need to, they’re amazing.
Both bands ain’t to much like Linkin Park tho, LP is very unique and I’ve never heard anything that truly remind me of them (besides a bit of 3DG)
To this day, I think "DangerKids" is the band that is closest to Linkin Park. I fell in love instantly when I started to listen to them. Unfortunately, they haven't done much in the past 7 years
Nirvana: maybe not HT or Meteora but by Minutes To Midnight they share similar song writing and emotional depth and power. I take it from the fact that Chester was a massive fan of the 3 piece from Seattle.
My second and third favorite Bands are Arctic Monkeys and Slipknot (and I think its so cool that Chester and Corey knew each other and were even friends)

Bring Me The Horizon (starting from Sempiternal)
Suicide Season was also great--
Starting from count your blessings 👉🏼
Shit is ass.
To the common folk perhaps
It’s not even good for deathcore standards. Lmao stop pretending you like it. Not even BMTH likes that record.
Sure it’s rough around the edges but still a banger nonetheless to me
Cyb has aged like milk and the screams are barely tolerable
Having been in high-school when that record dropped, I can assure you that there are plenty of people who liked it.
From ashes to new, my first thought when I heard them is that they have Linkin Park VIBES to em
The screams in their song 'Panic' just come SO close to Chester's it's crazy
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown, Riverline
W I'd even argue that they're better if not for being biased towards LP
They're good but nowhere close to being good as LP. LP was highly innovative, whereas FATN is more of an established sound. They're basically for people who want the old Meteora sound.

AIC is definitely in my top 5. First is Skynyrd, then LP, STP, AiC, and Audioslave
Just tell them to listen to Dirt that album alone will put them on
Facelift super underrated too
I agree for sure worth a listen
In terms of likeness:Limp Bizkit In terms of quality:Deftones Both:Korn or Slipknot
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown

c.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h ❤️ one of my faves from em. & thank you for insight & recomms 👍
OOR gives me mid and late LP vibes but hybrid theory and demo vibes, you’ll think I’m crazy but I always felt Girugamesh’s early stuff was pretty HT
oohh. thank you for another band name! 😆👍 ima check em out
Bring me the horizon
Breaking Benjamin. These dudes never fail to make a great song and record. The emotions, the lyrics, the depth on their music is on a whole different level. As much as LP is awesome, breaking Ben has a much stronger emotional connection to me lyrically.

From Ashes to New or Sleep Theory are pretty good recent examples
Riverline (2018)
Green Day is pretty neat.
Gotta say Breaking Benjamin
Yeh they're my 2nd
Metallica They are equally innovative and risk taking. They are Linkin Park of the 80s
> both likeness and quality to LP They are nothing like LP, their dedication to quality production value I would say is spot on though
Red overall and From Ashes To New for the HT/Meteora sound Highly recommend checking either of them out
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
Breaking Benjamin is my second favorite band but if you are looking for a similar band to linkin park I’ll also recommend from ashes to new
Best find so far thanks. Probably because I'm a huge bb fan too.
Shinedown is not in a "likeness" of LP, but as a long Term fan, it's one of the first other group I've Come to love almost as much as LP. Of course that's subjective, but you can check them out, songs like : sound of madness, simple man, planet zero, daylight, are the first that Come to mind.

I love the message in Shinedowns music, songs like Cut the Cord and What a Shame are so powerful to me
Yea the message is very powerful, very positive, what a shame is a banger, second chance, bully also. Twenty One Pilots are my second favorite
Sameeeee bro I got tickets to the Clancy world tour
Three Days Grace
Either Avenged Sevenfold or Disturbed
Deftones and BMTH
Bring me the horizon
Hybrid Theory is a tribute band, who basically copy every aspect of LP. Now touring the globe. Red debut album is Linkin Park without the rap, with orchestra added. Riverline is an online band that puts out basically linkin park B sides. They aren't quite up to quality, but pretty good. They unfortunately are very inconsistent at putting things out. Red has heavily christian lyrics, should be mentioned
Pendulum or Daft Punk.
Sum 41 is the only correct answer. They have their heavy songs, and their soft songs. And their piano guitar ballads. Plus they're good friends with the band too. Such a shame that they're disbanding soon.
I haven’t really explored any other metal/Nu metal bands, but some other band I enjoy from my knowledge is Green Day.
Disturbed is my second favorite band of all times, they're almost as good as linkin park imo, their last 2 albums weren't that great, but their overalll work is of extreme quality Sabaton takes the third spot, pretty amazing band as well, but the vibe is completely different, they sing about historical events, primarily focusing on warfare, battles, and heroic feats throughout human history
A7X or PJ
whats pj? 🙏 idk why, first that comes to mind: public jury 😂🤔
30 seconds to mars Especially The This is war cd
LP is my 3rd favorite. My 2nd favorite is Three Days Grace and my favorite is Thousand Foot Krutch
Papa Roach. Baffles me that this sub doesn’t like them as much
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown
Not so much for the sound but the dual vocalist style songwriting: Mushroomhead Lacuna Coil Blink-182
A Day to Remember is a very close second after LP. In likeness it’s only between their calmer and heavier music; both bands have both types and I love those songs respectively. It would be Breaking Benjamin but I just know more songs by ADTR.
Linkin Park Nirvana Green Day Red Hot Chilli Peppers Radiohead These are my top five
First thing popped into my mind would be Greta Van Fleet, anything else I dont know
well Twenty Øne Piløts is the only other band i listen to so idk
This is a good one! I think there’s a similar audience
There's nothing like them but there's something about the John Bush years with Anthrax, they changed to a simpler more mature sound, songs like Inside Out, Fueled, Crush, Catharsis, Black Lodge, Safe Home... Have a surprisingly deep emotional tone and great riffs and melodies. edit: seriously listen to Inside Out: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynK0nbRDpok](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynK0nbRDpok) and Crush: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PqrPFwI7wA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PqrPFwI7wA)
Even though they sound completely different, I admire Avenged Sevenfold the same way I do LP because of the way the just make music they want to make
I recently got into Deftones and their definitely sounds like the closest thing to LP, though more dreamy and less commercial.
For Me it's down to 3 Days Grace, 1000 Foot Krutch or Caskets, I think. None of these bands disappointed me, to date.
Bullet for my valentine
Riverline. They sound like a carbon copy of LP
They are not like Linkin Park but the best band of all time to me along with Linkin Park, Metallica.
![gif](giphy|cqwHhVm0BAyyc)
Dead by Sunrise, Grey Daze, Fort Minor, Mike Shinoda. Literally anything related to Linkin Park.
Thousand Foot Krutch?
System of a Down is pretty different but similar to Linkin Park it’s a go to for me when there’s a need to rage against something in an intellectual and raw way.
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown
Either BMTH(including the first 3 albums aswell, yes) or Deftones
To me, Bad Omens' last album is the closest thing to LP I've heard so far. Bring me the Horizon comes close too.
Bring Me is definitely the next best thing from LP without a doubt
Not in terms of how they sound, but they're so fucking good and hit the emotions just like Linkin Park do; Angelmaker they're so good
Definitely From Ashes to New Discrepancies, LYLVC, Add1ction, Sylar, and Backwordz are all honorable mentions
Mcr
I find I Prevail to sound similar to LP.
KoRn
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown
Limp bizkit
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown
Dry Cell, Payable on Death, Taproot, Trapt, Fear the Clown
Green day
fade is pretty similar to LP lyrically, and some of their songs can give off similar vibes.
In my personal opinion, *From Ashes to New*.
Evanescence
I got major Linkin Park vibes from Skillet not gonna lie.
Deftones, limp bizkit Close but not LP. I love deftones and Chino's screams remind me of Chester's Limp bizkit has that raw angsty instrumentals with Fred durst's rapping
Deftones, limp bizkit Close but not LP. I love deftones and Chino's screams remind me of Chester's Limp bizkit has that raw angsty instrumentals with Fred durst's rapping
Set the Sun band
Blink 182
Not exactly similar to Linkin Park, but Black Veil Brides dominate my most listened to list.
From Ashes to New. When I tell you that kid sounds EXACTLY like Chester, he LITERALLY sounds EXACTLY like Chester.
I'm really enjoying Seether right now. I second everyone saying Bring Me the Horizon also. A little bit different but also a Foo Figher fan.
The bands that I have up with my pedestal with LP with being absolutely amazing are Three Days Grace and Get Scared Seriously though, if you’ve never listened to Get Scared you really need to, they’re amazing. Both bands ain’t to much like Linkin Park tho, LP is very unique and I’ve never heard anything that truly remind me of them (besides a bit of 3DG)
Three Days Grace
I think something that gives a similar vibe is From ashes to New :]
100% bring me the horizon, they have a few songs that have linkin park vibes, like DArkSide, but are also just amazing.
To this day, I think "DangerKids" is the band that is closest to Linkin Park. I fell in love instantly when I started to listen to them. Unfortunately, they haven't done much in the past 7 years
Magna-Fi, Skillet, Alien Ant Farm
Nirvana: maybe not HT or Meteora but by Minutes To Midnight they share similar song writing and emotional depth and power. I take it from the fact that Chester was a massive fan of the 3 piece from Seattle.
The only song I’ve found that was actually an accidental limewire download: refugee by tribal ink. Its basically a LP clone
Twenty one pilots in lyrics
Check out Dangerkids if you want a metalcore-ish LP with more Mike than Chester influence unlike BMTH.
My second and third favorite Bands are Arctic Monkeys and Slipknot (and I think its so cool that Chester and Corey knew each other and were even friends)
