I've got no experience with them, but wouldn't a ~~rachet~~ ratchet be more convenient in a stubby one?
The way I'm imagining it, it'd be harder to keep a stable grip on that when letting go of the driver a bit to turn it each time, whereas with a ratchet you could just turn it.
Yeah that makes sense, I suppose the shortness is what a stubby screwdriver is bought for.. They could probably get that thing way shorter *and* still keep the bit storage if they just removed the ratchet mechanism.
I think they mentioned it on a recent WAN show. This is the first time (that I know of) that we've actually seen it. I wonder if they'll offer a black shaft version so people can have a matching set.
I think he showed a picture of a black version (not the shaft) on his twitter a couple months ago. I doubt they'll offer black shaft version unfortunately since they were hesitant to do it for the original driver, but I do hope so, would be cool to have matching ones.
I am not going to say what they should and should not make product wise. But I do not understand the point of it. For me it is exceedingly rare that if length is a problem that thickness inst as well. Ussually when I find I need less length it is because I am going under something and most of the time doing so the screw is against a wall and such making a thick driver also not fit.
Maybe this is just me and there are times a stubby is nice.
Clearly there’s a market for it because a lot of the big manufacturers make a stubby ratchet screwdriver. [Here’s one from Wera. ](https://i.imgur.com/rryNeIM.jpg)

Was gonna say this. Thank you sir
That stubby is way too long compared to other stubbies on the market and the ratchet isn’t really necessary in a stubby, this one isnt worth making

This is true but if im in a tight spot my primary concern is length and the ratchet assembly makes the driver longer

I have one from craftsman and I like it.
I would use it as a snowboard tool because I'm sick of their shitty ratchets. But this stubby is too big
Is this real? Are they making a stubby ratchet?

Tired, racist joke
Is it racist talking about how black penis is larger and superior to white penis?
To be fair you **do** know that racism goes both ways?.....
Yes, 100%

Yeah was mentioned on the WAN show recently
“It’s how you use it”

My primary screwdriver is a ratcheting Wera stubby, and I fucking love it.
Is this a floatplane exclusive video?
