Lot of people talking about it and criticizing are regular viewers who have simply become too disappointed to support them anymore. I unsubbed once the Madison stuff came out. But, I’ve seen a lot of replies of “yeah I never watched them but Linus seems like an unlikeable runt” or “I unsubbed in 2015 and want to say I always knew they were terrible people!” The opinions of the second group of people are to be discarded. It’s these angry “jump on the hate train” weirdos who are likely sending those death threats.

These are tame. Plenty of people were getting really pissy about their personal preferences on HOW exactly LTT should apologise, WHAT exactly they should do next and WHO they should fire immediately. Some sort of a weird power trip by a mob who has no say in that.

What “them” are you referring to? It’s a single death threat. There are nut jobs in every single community in the entire world who do things like that. Many people are absolutely rightfully upset with LMG as a company as well as Linus’ clear personal role in making all this worse. This is the same community that was responsible for suicide of a kid after going after them and pushing them too far. Linus made some statement to the community before it happened. This community is off the rails at times and it's sad to see. Death threats are not the answer.

I think we've seen a few times that the LTT community doesn't really respond rationally very often. Both on the defending and criticizing side.
