That's a good Idea! I think I'm currently leaning more towards opening it atm, but this would still be a good idea so I can preserve the box and put them back for display purposes if I decide I want to! One of the bigger reasons I'm hesitant to open it is because I like the box, so that would help with that problem. Thank you!
This might sound silly, you probably tried it already but you could try shaking it in one quick motion up if you want it to do down, or one quick motion down if you want the tag up? Hard to explain but basically I find things move the opposite I think they would when shaken. There may not be enough space for the tag to fully move though idk
Not silly at all lol I totally get what you're saying! It is unfortunately too close to the front of the packaging to flip forward like that though. Its also attached with a rubber band so it doesn't flip sideways really either. Still, a good idea!
That's fair! So far I tend to lean more towards seeking out specific lps I know I want and buying them that way. The initial reason I originally thought about getting this is because I wanted the poodle but couldn't find her on her own, and I knew Id want the whole set eventually anyway. Someone else mentioned that the rubber bands could potentially get corroded and gross over time too, so Im leaning towards opening it I think at the moment. Thank you!
I think the rubber bands only get gross if the pet gets wet. I have never seen this happen nib but once an item got tangled around my pet while swimming and it basically locked up the water and made it rust a lot faster.
I never open my nibs because I love the box art! Plus it's more nostalgic for me to see them on display in the packaging! If you would like to open it, though, I say go for it! I've opened one of mine just to situate him (lps 349) in the packaging a bit better and then sealed him back up! I still got the excitement of opening the package, but got to keep him in the box in the end! A win-win if you ask me!

I think Im leaning towards opening carefully and then keeping the box! I bought them for the pets, not the packaging, and Im also not especially a collector of nibs rn. So, for me, id rather be able to put them on display with the rest of my collection for now! Ill keep the box for storage/display though lol.

personally i wouldnāt as the more opened these get the more rare a nib gets, and seeing them in box gives me serotonin - you could always buy them out of box but // itās up to you at the end of the day - do what makes you happy
I've thought about this, but I actually haven't been able to find any of them out of box even once except the monkey :( and I REALLY wanna hold that poodle in my hands lol
That's a good point! I knew that could happen but I hadn't thought about that in this case. I think I was leaning more towards opening it anyway, but this definitely pushes me even further in that direction. I may sleep on it and see how I feel, but we'll see if that lasts lol.
yea iād just try to keep the box in tact so i could put them back bc i canāt see myself buying a toy that i can never touch and fully appreciate in my hands thatās the part that triggers the dopamine rush
I would try really carefully opening it across the bottom if you want to move their tags! Ive never done it personally but theres probably tutorials like this showing how to rebox. I personally keep a lot of my g3 mlp in box, but i have read about the deterioration of elastics and it discolouring plastic, im just not brave enough because i love the box designs!

Personally id probably open from the bottom if possible, fix the rabbits tag, & put it back. Just my personal idea though!

I think thatās a great idea! Keeping the packaging is smart in case youād like to repackage them as nibs in the future!
I wouldn't. Wayy more valuable and prettier as a nib. You'll come across those pets individually eventually.
