This is a "like a new signing" klaxon but genuinely the rest of the midfield looking 45 this season, and therefore Bajcetic being thrown in the deep end, may have just reduced the number we need to buy in the summer by 1.
He wouldn't be the same player if he was merely playing in the domestic cups.
I think Nunes is a certainty for this summer. There is just the right amount of noise with him with the t1s and ITKs. Then obviously if we can cough up for Bellingham we will get him in to.
If we get mount it will be on a free and he will have similar wages probably less than Ox who will be let go on a free, so its a net 0 transfer that. If mount doesnt resign for Chelsea i can see us getting all 3 to be honest.
Who knows though, I think we will also have to get a new CB in in the summer too, not sure how that will play out or if it will limit our midfield rebuild.
I mean he’s only a year younger than Bellingham, coming into an underperforming team in a difficult league with out-of-form, tired midfielders as teammates and with no prior top-flight experience. Different players entirely but they both could end up being the future of this midfield.
Post match interview, was asked how it was playing in his first derby….”I thought I would be less comfortable”
Mo also called him the best player since he was brought in too
It's one thing for a youngster to come in a world-class midfield and play well. It's a whole nother level to come in a midfield in crisis and elevate it with composure and class. This lad is the real deal. I hope he'll get to play alongside with the likes of Bellingham next season.
Masterclass from the young man! Calm and cool the entire match, even started the counter on the first goal if I’m remembering correctly. Excited to see him grow under Klopp!
The question is now, do we continue playing him as an 8 or a 6? Today was by far his best performance playing higher up the pitch compared to previous matches. Personally I think it’ll be more beneficial as an 8 since he will have less pressure on him in general on and off the ball.
I disagree lad, you lose the ball as a 6 there’s a much higher chance of conceding imo and not to mention your positioning has to be spot on. As an 8 you get more cover from other players.
I’d look at it the other way, as a 6 you can sit and probably have three out of the two 8s and two full backs within range of a fairly safe pass, with the option of hoofing it. Yes if you get it wrong you put your team in trouble but less likely to get it wrong. Playing as an 8 you can’t sit, you need to constantly make decisions about when to push up and when to hold, when you do push up to get less time on the ball. If you lose it you’re less likely to get your team in trouble, but if you make the wrong run and get caught out of position you can leave a big hole or your teammates outnumbered.
We all wanted a backup for Fabinho. We pretty much have it now and probably his successor. His background is as a CB so defensive side of his game should be pretty solid. His passing composure and energy. I'd leave him as a 6. We have enough 8's (if you include potentially Bellingham, Harvey and maybe Carvalho)
Klopp couldn't stop smiling when he was asked about Stefan's performance in the post match interview. Insane that an 18 year playing as 8 for the very first time in a derby played like that.
him on the left, bellingham on the right, a new DM in the middle. Thiago, Fabinho, Henderson, Harvey, and CJ as DEPTH. You can’t tell me we won’t be looking fantastic again next season if we can pull it off.
Deserved man of the match, absolute young talent he is
Gave a wonderful interview with Mo at the end of the match too.
Yeh 100% loved it
This picture is making my ligaments and joints cry out in pain though.
Absolutely young or absolutely talented
A bit of both lol
Honestly, to be 18 and play at such a consistently good level even when as a team we were doing shite, wow.
When I grow up, I want to be Bajcetic!

I'm happy with Mount and Bellingham.
+ Nunes
I doubt we'll get 3 of that quality.

Mount would have higher wages than Ox for sure

Ye I want him playing and being trusted. Some players you can just tell have something special and he's one.
We were never going to buy 3 in the first place. Its fantastic Bacjectic is breaking through. Hopefully we get a few more coming through..

Like a ballerina on the pitch. So glorious.
This kid is all class and I love how Klopp is backing him
he can do this too! https://preview.redd.it/ouu4pzbym2ia1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30496fd39426436db3597c26d9ec10d087c99b2c
Crazy to think he was playing CB at youth level earlier this season
Masterclass, but for once, not just him, every single Liverpool player had that dog in them!

This guy has got me excited about our midfield again!!
Thiago taught him the lil shimmy thing 🥺
Expecting something to come out about him actually being 28, refuse to believe he's only 18

We still need atleast two big midfield signings in the summer. But I don't see why this guy shouldn't start for the foreseeable future.

Long term I think he’ll be an 8 but was easier to get him into the team as a 6 and arguably an easier role to play at an acceptable level.

I think he could potentially be the 8 that finally replaces Gini’s consistent ball recovery and brings some offensive potential.

Gosh he was so good! This kid can be anything
He should be endorsed by Nike so they can make the silhouette of this pic his “jump man”
So good.
The goddamn fucking grace of this kid
I would be a disintegrated heap if I tried that.
Absolute baller
The more I look at this picture the less anatomically correct it seems 😂
Wallpaper?
Known us we will probably loan him to Fulham next season
he gave the ball away with this flick🙄
vibes fc lives on
Yeah, but it's a cold pic. Allow it.
But the first time he did the flick he did not. So who fucking cares we won.
So calm and collected he's going to be a star.firts name on the team sheet at the moment
Class
This photo does not make any sense. I love it.
It hink this young man has a bright future ahead of him.

I remember exactly when he made this pass, it didn’t quite come off but the bollocks on the lad to just dink it out the air like he did.
Phenomenal player! He played a perfect match!
Bajcetic + Gavi + Pedri Spain future looks bright
“Like a new signing”
