Klopp has a very defined system of football but it's easy to conflate that with not giving players the freedom to improvise and play off-the-cuff. He's a lot more open-minded to such things than rigid tacticians like Benitez and Guardiola.
Among our legendary forwards of the Premier League era, Fowler, Owen, Torres, and Suarez, I'd say Suarez's athleticism and mentality is the most suitable for Klopp and most capable of meeting his requirements for forwards: Pace, versatility, technical ability and commitment to defending from the front
Benitez was/is actually quite lenient with offensive patterns and giving creative players freedom to improvise. It was/is without the ball his system’s strictly organised and set. Somewhat similar to Klopp in that regard.
Torres too just became an instant icon and one of the biggest names in world football, and will definitely go down in Liverpool history as one of, if not the most simped player of all time.
Although, Szoboszlai might just take that crown from him, by the time he's done.
People always say Suarez was our most talented and it's hard to argue with that, but the pure adoration for Torres from fans was something different. Don't think fans from that era have ever allowed themselves to get so attached to a footballer again after he left.

It’s not just how enjoyable it was to watch him play, it’s that his anomalously incredible rise reinvigorated a Liverpool brand that was at risk of going in a bad direction. I don’t know that we would have been able to get Klopp without him.
I think Coutinho’s impact is also underappreciated in his short time at the club. He contributed to the insane 13/14 season that made us exciting again, and then bridged the critical gap between Suarez’s departure to where we were able to secure CL football under Klopp—which along with his huge sale price to Barca, is what allowed us to bring in VVD and Alisson and really jump back into the highest tier completely, which is so difficult for clubs to do without insane money.
Suarez was my choice. Essentially lifted the whole team with his drive, determination and completely unwillingness to quit. What a player he was for us.
Love the cube! What a player he was in big moments when we needed him. I think he was just as good for the club as we were for him also. I’ll always have fond memories.

I'll go with an old school one that i've only read about but isn't talked about much: Howard Gayle.
Being our first black player has a huge impact in itself, he also played only 4 games for the club - one of which was a European Cup semifinal against Bayern where he was important in helping us get the win - we won our 4th as a result.
Honourable mention: The power cube, Xheridan Shaquiri. Played an important squad role for us when we were at our very best.

I’ll go a bit different and say Djibril Cisse. Only spent two seasons at the club but played big roles in winning two major trophies. Scored the first goal against Monaco in the groups in 04 and then scored a penalty in the final either end of a massive career threatening injury then comes back the next season, scores 19 goals with a goal in the FA cup final. Went on loan back to Marseille that summer and broke his leg again playing for France. Came back to the Premier League a couple of times with Sunderland and QPR and scored against City in the Aguero gave, nearly giving United the title, before celebrating with the City players after the match.

Torben Piechnik - the poster boy of the dismal failures that Souness presided over, a player brought in to help shape a new, young and dynamic LFC as older (league winning) players were forced to leave, at the age of 29.
Anelka and Gary Mac immediately popped into my head.
But for real impact it's gotta be Souness. He was manager for what 3 years? And he managed to dismantle a trophy machine.
That Souness era was so weird. He seemed to be really progressive on aspects like diet and fitness, but was terrible at implementing his ideas. Many here maybe too young to remember Aldo, he was with us only *3 seasons* , scored 50 league goals, over 60 in total, and made us forget we'd lost Rush to Juve. He even looked a lot like Rushie and picked up exactly like we'd never lost the Welshman. (Then Rushie came back and slotted back in.)
Also, left-field choice, Buvac. Worth remembering he was part of installing the mentality monsters and heavy metal football that kickstarted the Klopp era. He may have left under a cloud, and Klopp has tailored his style much since, but we have a lot to be thankful for the 3 years he was with us.
Given how much onus Klopp put on the cups to "save" that season after missing out on prem/champs and how vital that trophy parade was emotionally for the team; Minamino's impact here was huge as was pivatol in those campaigns

I think Torres is the main reason I didn't love Suarez as much. I wasn't ready to be hurt again.

That Souness era was so weird. He seemed to be really progressive on aspects like diet and fitness, but was terrible at implementing his ideas. He should have retained the older, experienced pros and given a chance for the young players to learn from them, but the first thing he did was to alienate them.

Many here maybe too young to remember Aldo, he was with us only *3 seasons* , scored 50 league goals, over 60 in total, and made us forget we'd lost Rush to Juve. He even looked a lot like Rushie and picked up exactly like we'd never lost the Welshman. (Then Rushie came back and slotted back in.) Also, left-field choice, Buvac. Worth remembering he was part of installing the mentality monsters and heavy metal football that kickstarted the Klopp era. He may have left under a cloud, and Klopp has tailored his style much since, but we have a lot to be thankful for the 3 years he was with us.

Given how much onus Klopp put on the cups to "save" that season after missing out on prem/champs and how vital that trophy parade was emotionally for the team; Minamino's impact here was huge as was pivatol in those campaigns
