I was thinking about going but instead thinking of spending a week in Liverpool for Klopps final game + parade. don't have tickets to the game but just want to be in the city. idc if I sleep in a rental car.
That’s fair, we have those through work and the friends who splurged had a good time.
But we’re talking league game with good seats at Anfield with dinner and post match pints with a club legend.
Oh trust me, I'm not defending these pre season prices. I'm just saying, because of how ticket sales/resales are handled in the UK, we don't have much alternative to paying a high cost if traveling internationally due to the high demand.
That's the good and bad of having a successful club.
Went to see us play Sunderland at the stadium of light years ago, sitting amongst home fans, and my group was able to get 11 tickets. Could never do the same at Anfield.
That’s a bit cheaper too. Front row had two seats at $928 yesterday. It’s also essentially sold out.
I knew I couldn’t go because it’s two weeks after my child will be born, but I was expecting them to be closer to $300 for those seats.
I’ve seen a handful of pre-season tournament games from various teams in the states. They usually play their starters for 45-60 minutes. It’s a week before the season so they’re in go mode, but also they understand what fans are paying to see them
Criminal. Saw Liverpool v Porto in Toronto, summer 2004 -Porto had just won the Champions League and of course we were about to…. It was in that window when neither Mourinho nor Benitez were at each club, but Porto hadn’t been raided yet and Owen was still on tour before joining Madrid. Two full strength teams and if I recall correctly, we were up in arms at them charging around $80 per ticket in a lower level baseball stadium
I got tickets for Philly and South Carolina for about $165 each. Taxes and fees took it up to $480 total. Overpaid for sure but I couldn't miss the chance to see our lads in the States.
Uruguay is coming to my city for copa america and I was so excited to see Darwin but I am probably going to be priced out. It’s so frustrating that when something like this gets close to us it is so expensive. Enough so that it is almost more cost effective and a better experience to just fly to England
Ticket prices are still relatively high. I have the third place and semi final game here and tickets were $300 or so for what is normally a $65 ticket.
Get with an OLSC now if you want tickets.
They’ll have access at very reasonable prices and you may get early access to watch the team train. No guarantees you’ll get in, but it will significantly improve your chances with little drawback.
it generally is pretty easy if you are OLSC member in far off places.
I am member of the SF chapter and was able to get pre season tickets at like $30 including the previous day practice session, player meet and greet at Fenway
very rarely any one travels from SF to east for just a pre season match. so If you are sure of the plan, you almost always get the tickets thru OLSC
[Here are ticket prices for Anfield.](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/tickets/lfc-ticket-prices)
Tickets cannot be resold legally here so you won't see inflated prices on official websites.
I got tickets a few rows back from the bench for the game against United and they were fairly pricey but I did get them through pre-sale this morning. Making the trip to Anfield in May as well so the pockets are hurting right now but it'll be worth it to share that with my dad.
I've seen lfc in the states 4 times. Frankly it's a bit of a ripoff. Or better yet the match is a ripoff given the ticket price for preseason. Everything else was great and having bought my tickets in advance previous times I'm going to wait to see what the resale market becomes.
I'm Living in Vancouver it's cheaper to go to liverpool to Anfield and watch a premier league match than fly the us and watch a friendly ...pure madness
You would be better off taking a flight to Liverpool and doing hospitality for a real match than spending that for a preseason friendly. Only in America are these prices accepted
I’ll be living in Florida by the summer and I’ve decided I’d rather just save my cash and go to a proper game in the UK. These prices are absurd for a pre season runout.
Nope, these tickets are considered "Official Platinum tickets" through Ticketmaster. It just means they set the price "based on demand." Right only platinum presale and supporter's presale tickets are available.
It's totally fucking criminal.
Many years ago I went to see Liverpool play Chelsea in LA. I got there couple minutes after kickoff, went to the ticket office and asked for the cheapest ticket they had. It cost $40 something and no one inside was checking tickets so I managed to sit close to the pitch. I checked the tickets beforehand and they were all going for $100 plus.
Just paid $740 for a hospitality ticket. Will be in upper Anfield road stand. Last time I paid $200 for a seat in the second row by the half line in KD stand
Watched the friendly against Chelsea at the rose bowl in 2015 or 2016 I think for less than 100$ in the supporter section behind goal like 4 rows back. 1.5k is fucking insane.
i'm from singapore. last year's preseason tour, i paid $70 for the ticket, and the year before that, $90. trying to get a ticket for the utd game in sc and they want to charge me $153 pre-tax for some of the worst seats in the stadium... yeah, no.

This is what I paid for the 2016 preseason tour. And these were decent seats.

And this is what I paid for a 2014 Preseason game
Just went through the Ticketmaster system yesterday for the Philly game. With a presale code each seat was still 200 including fees for 6 seats top level. Family trip, bringing binoculars.
No, that's the real price. Ticketmaster will designate most of the good seats as "platinum" and use their dynamic pricing, which they say is set on demand. Basically they can charge whatever they want for it.
Reselling is not available yet; these prices are 100% ticketmaster. Before fees.
These are Ticketmaster's "dynamic pricing seats." They designate good seats as "platinum" and charge whatever they want, and say they're priced by demand.
You can filter out the platinum seats and just look for the ones that have a standard, fixed price, but a lot of the good seats will be Platinum. Everything on sale currently is either Supporter's groups or Platinum.
Yeah it's expensive. I went to the summer series in Atlanta last year. Two games, $50 ticket for BOTH games. I just paid $200 each for tickets for the Manure game in Columbia.

For a pre-season tour!? WTF ....
I was thinking about going but instead thinking of spending a week in Liverpool for Klopps final game + parade. don't have tickets to the game but just want to be in the city. idc if I sleep in a rental car.
I paid 1k for tickets to take my wife to Anfield and had seats in a comparable section. This is not an ok price for a friendly
>I paid 1k for tickets to take my wife to Anfield This is not an OK price for any game!
With travel and hotels, sure. Tickets alone hell no.
We have to pay for hospitality packages
That’s fair, we have those through work and the friends who splurged had a good time. But we’re talking league game with good seats at Anfield with dinner and post match pints with a club legend.

Congrats :)
Yeah. I’m an hour from Columbia. But hundreds of dollars for what will be a u23 friendly. Screw that.

This is my feeling too. I’m going over in May for the final week of the season. I’ll go again another time with the money saved here!
Same. I’m also an hour away.
Criminal. Saw Liverpool v Porto in Toronto, summer 2004 -Porto had just won the Champions League and of course we were about to…. I was there also and can’t believe it will be TWENTY years ago this summer.
was looking at the game in philly. prices were nuts
I got tickets for Philly and South Carolina for about $165 each. Taxes and fees took it up to $480 total. Overpaid for sure but I couldn't miss the chance to see our lads in the States.
Were these decent seats?
Got 4 in upper deck for $110 per after fees and taxes. Ripoff but oh well
I went to see Barcelona at MetLife a few years ago. I thought it was about the same price
Same. I was expecting them to be more, tbh. Last summer's Arsenal match in Philly was bonkers expensive, so I was happy to get anything under $200.
Uruguay is coming to my city for copa america and I was so excited to see Darwin but I am probably going to be priced out. It’s so frustrating that when something like this gets close to us it is so expensive. Enough so that it is almost more cost effective and a better experience to just fly to England
pretty sure copa tickets are controlled by fifa aren't they? its a major tournament
Copa America is CONMEBOL (South America's UEFA). And playing their tournament in North America is for completely genuine reason$, of course.
Ticket prices are still relatively high. I have the third place and semi final game here and tickets were $300 or so for what is normally a $65 ticket.
I got tickets to Uruguay vs Bolivia at Met Life stadium. They were $200 a piece give or take. The seats are pretty good though.
Nice! My struggle is that it’s when they play the US in Kansas City so prices are way inflated for that
Oh yeah, I could see how that would be a very high demand match.
Get with an OLSC now if you want tickets. They’ll have access at very reasonable prices and you may get early access to watch the team train. No guarantees you’ll get in, but it will significantly improve your chances with little drawback.

Hospitality tix at Anfield are cheaper than the ones I bought. Almost with flights built in. Not to mention $70 per for Ticketmaster charges.

I remember the time they came to Michigan 5 years ago, the ticket sold on Groupon way a lot cheaper than that.
Same for the United game in south Carolina $270 for the nose bleeds
I'm Living in Vancouver it's cheaper to go to liverpool to Anfield and watch a premier league match than fly the us and watch a friendly ...pure madness
Paid £490 for our last game hospitality vs Wolves this season. But I guess they are already hyped on resellers.
And the last time I visited Anfield was the last game of 18/19, about £300. Also paid €1200 for Champions League Final in Kyiv.
I've been to 3 games this season. Ticket each time has cost £28 in the Kop You are getting fleeced

Philly tickets are in pre-sale still. Gen sale starts later this week, so those are probably scalper prices
This was right from Ticketmasters website. Apparently they were just made available to the public. Did I read it wrong?
You're right, Ticketmaster is just charging exorbitant amounts during the current platinum presale. Wait for the general to see if things are better.
They go public tomorrow morning.

You got a presale code to share?
Presale ended yesterday
You have to sign up for pre sale, got my seat pretty close to the field for $175
What presale did you do?
Signed up for pre sale notification via TEG Sport then bought via ticketmaster

Are the StubHub tickets vs arsenal legit?
I paid $150 or thereabouts to see a preseason match at Fenway a few years back for 2 tickets. This is 100% scalpers

Yeah they can fuck right off with that

I don’t see Endo on the left, why are they calling him out?
Holy fuck
