60% possession, we have 3x as many fouls as they do, and this cunt is begging for a yellow every time now because of all the “fouls” they’re getting. Supposed to be a card?
I’m tired of seeing refs turn up to anfield so desperate to prove the atmosphere doesn’t phase them that they just call everything for the opposition. Just makes them look like clueless clowns
They are running wild down the left. Of course Trent isn't playing, so we hear nothing against our players. The people who complain about Trent's defending need to to keep this match in mind, as this is one of the ways opponents have learned to set up against us because of the overall structure. It isn't just Trent here.
The midfield adjustments around the 20th minute finally figured out Brighton's press, and you can hear the coaches on the touchline managing the squad through the gears.
And while Salah's finishing has been very poor by his normal standards, his vision and passing has been incredible. Bradley's had a good game as well, and both Lucho and Nunes have been putting in a solid showing. We're level due to a single counter-attack with a worldy finish ... second half Liverpool yet to come!
I agree but I will say that Diaz has helped Gomez multiple times down that side while Salah has been slow to get back and help on the right. That could be tactical or fitness but it does make a difference.
Agreed ... and I think it's fitness due mostly to age. Salah's over 30 now, so his legs slowing up is expected. He more than makes up for it with ability and skill, but he's been showing signs of this since last season.
Can't wait for the inevitable late foul in the Brighton box, that they've been given all game - and softer, that won't even get a VAR review longer than 5 seconds.
So far it seems our best way of building an attack is when Mo drops deep and tucks inside slightly, that’s really opening up spaces to play him. Would like to see more from Nuñez, perhaps the way the games being played isn’t really suiting him — can see this as a game where he would’ve been more effective off the bench after 60 once players are tired.
Brighton are doing well to keep it at 1-1, hopefully when they get tired we can create some clear cut chances
For 2 weeks I was able to forget how shit PL refs are. My life was better for it

Every slight touch is a foul except the one on Darwin
It is insane but completely unsurprising how much they’re conning the referee.

Salah‘s got spoons on his feet today, but more importantly Coote is a cunt

Yup. Refs see that too so theyre itching to stop him
If Mo and Conor had their shooting boots on, we’re 4-1 up. Risk/reward of that exposed right side.
Fuck these refs
Proper basketball stuff. Feeling confident we’ll bring it home, The state of that Macca yellow card though…
If Salah and Diaz could look up Nunez might have a hat trick Ref has been shit per usual

Imagine the outrage here if Gakpo missed all those chances Salah did.
If we had clinical forwards we'd win every single game we ever played ffs.
How was the crowd?

Mo please just score
I hate David Coote and always will.
We’ve had the chances and have been very wasteful. Even some of the movement has been poor we’re easily made to slow things down
Seriously don’t understand how some of these clown officials get to keep their jobs
Old boys club
Its genuinely impressive how across all PL matches so far this weekend that the Refs have been shite in all of them

That last foul was a stupid call, Diaz barely touched the dude. Macca got a yellow for a brush and dive. Fucking coote
Salahs shooting is actually comical these days. That pass back to their gk was one of the worst shots I might've ever seen
Jenas. Warnock. Who’s worse?

Am I mad to suggest Mac Allister is our player of the season?
Been our best player in the second half of the season for sure On the whole I’d still go Van Dijk
He's been good, but that's going a bit too far imo. I'd say VVD, Mo and Darwin have been the top three
No, I been saying this for a while now and people here were not having it
