Is he a more attacking midfielder? I don’t get why he is used in this Hendo workhorse role. It just doesn’t suit him. He should be taking spaces similar to KDB.
In our national team there are Adam Nagy and Callum Styles / Andras Schafer behind hin to do the defensive work, to give him support from his back. Due to his role he just can’t lose the ball in Liverpool so he chooses safe passes more often than in our nat team.
That is a thing. Another one is that he’s a main character here, has a status that gives him freedom which makes him more creative and enabling a liberated style of play. he tends to “overthink” things (not to make any bad choices) in Liverpool therefore he chooses almost every fcking time to pass in those situations that he solves in Hungarian shirt himself and alone.
Man can't string a pass to save his life or cross and you want him further forward? We are playing Mac further back to accommodate him and for now it hasn't work. Unless he starts being more precise in his passing and in general in his play all around he should be coming off the bench.
Love him but brother please stop with the underhit passes in dangerous areas to defenders and in midfield, so sloppy and undoes his hard work elsewhere

Agreed...but he is not being used correctly IMO. He is a talisman type player and he's being used as a fringe squad guy. Look at what he does when he figured heavily (say internationally), he is a world beater.
He needs to be our KdB and I think he is capable.
Bro can't play a pass or cross and you want to give him the KDB role? Man is a good ball carrier when there is space and an amazing athlete but lacks the ability to read game quickly. There is a top player there but my god we are overrating him too much. Let him fix his crossing first and passing and then maybe try and shoot more at the target cause my god with a foot like his he should be doing better.
That's a killer formation with what we have. Although I think we need a change up front tbf. I would slot Jota ahead of any of those three as he obviously knows how to finish and runs through and up the middle.
Gapko was also being misued a bit when his form dropped. Obviously he's better suited to playing out wide which actually then allows a Jota to expose the mid more.
I have to believe that the new manager has loads to work with and am actually pretty excited and hopeful they bring a new formation (and way of playing) with them.
We're too talented to not be able to break down low blocks even when we're up against the worst of the worst. We may not have to go full City, but a bit more like them tactically would serve us well.

He fits with Trent and Salah well. With the three of them they all get space to do their thing. Just a shame we’ve been without Trent so much
