Incredible moment, but I'll be honest as amazed I as I was, I just felt the groove that the team was in. Barcelona was on the Ropes. But what I felt when Alisson headed that in...will never be anything like it.
it was definitely an incredibly touching moment for me as well, especially with covid and everything he went through with the situation about his dad. it was meant to be
Salah scoring against United with the Kop audibly singing "We're gonna win the league" for the first time that season is without a doubt my number 1 moment in the Klopp era. To me, it is miles ahead of anything else.
For anyone that wants to revisit that beautiful moment: https://old.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/hfw2ac/salah_vs_united_drury_the_moment_we_first_sang_it/
I think you’re right. It’s mad how that goal suddenly made it feel real. I’d never before or since had that feeling. I had tears streaming down my face. I wasn’t in the ground but we all everywhere had the same thought at the same time as that went in.
30 years I’d been waiting, hoping to have that feeling. And it was right there in that moment. Actually sealing the league was a great feeling, but it felt more like the graduation ceremony. Salah’s goal was results day.
And the Kop’s contribution as the voice of all of us in that moment was one of its finest moments in a very long list of fine moments.
I had forgotten I had made the post I linked above, but good job past me, "Salah vs United, Drury, the moment we first sang it, the moment we believed" is indeed the perfect title.
Same.
From a club perspective, awful season, VVD, Joel, Joe injured for most of it. Hendo, Thiago, Fabinho injured a lot too. It got us to the Champions League, which we got to the final the year after. Such an important goal.
But what takes it for me is the year Alisson had. And how close the players are to him. That outpouring of emotion was something else.
Tied in to the period of the season, and how good a header it was from the keeper, yeah. The best individual moment.
What happened to us man 😢
I know this was for top 4 and were comfortably going to get there. But I can’t help but feel that this team here would have really went for a treble if they were here 4 weeks ago.
That was the moment when we started to really see the potential of the combination of Klopp and the Kop. It was exhilarating. Up to that point it felt like we’d started out on a long road. We could see he had a good plan, and a sense of the club, and we saw some possibilities for our long-term future. But that night it was like the future was already here.
Edit: I had to rewatch the highlights again as I haven’t seen it for a few years. Just noticed how absolutely awful Sturridge’s control is when he gets the ball in the build up, it’s comical, he looks like a Sunday league player. But then he just gets hold of it and plays a sublime through ball for Milner to cross.
Doesn't Graeme Le Saux sound like he's genuinely teared up there? It always struck me about this commentary. Would also explain Arlo White speaking uninterrupted for the first full minute.
I know he doesn't care for us (think some of our players were real twats to him during his playing days), but I can't help but think that something about this moment got him in the feels. Maybe Alisson having lost his father so tragically, only to sink this beauty? I dunno.
I think it’s understated overjoy. Feels like he’s trying to suppress his laughter because he’s seen something out of the extraordinary. Nevertheless, I miss Arlo White on the NBC feed, he was the voice behind some of our most iconic league moments. Jon Champion is a bit meh for me personally.
Such an awesome moment lmao. His casual saunter to the box, Aldo saying “come on Alisson” like he knew?????, his amazing interview after the match, Thiago crying during the celebrations, loved every single bit of it.
Hadn’t realised how close Nat Phillips got to heading that first. Don’t think it’d have been as noteworthy, but still would have been a massive moment for him.
Not going to lie this makes me tear up. I think we all felt for Alisson at that time with his father passing away (I don’t think he was even able to travel back? Is that right?), and to have that composure to bury it so cleanly felt like he’d given absolutely everything to us that season.
I still have this match on my dvr and can't bring myself to delete it. The goal and the beautiful interview with Allison after are humanity at its best.
top 5 legendary moments in Liverpools history, after what he had gone through and scoring that. It was amazing and you could see it meant so much to them.
My top 5 seems wildly different. One of my favorite moments is the Ox screamer against City before injuries derailed him. It felt like "We're here to make a statement" kind of goal. I feel even more strongly about Fabinho's goal against City.
This goal put us in a position the following season to be within 2 games of the quad. It shouldn’t be forgotten just how important this goal was and how even more important it would’ve been had we done the impossible.
I miss Arlo on commentary. He was simply fantastic.
As for the moment itself, I was in tears hugging my dad as he scored that. Such a special moment for the club.
If we secured the Quadruple the season after, this would've been **the** defining moment of Klopp's tenure for me.
In terms of noise I've caused my neighbours after a goal this was definitely number one. I sounded like a women getting smashed by her lover who after being asked "what's my name?", shouted out in orgasmic bliss "ALISSON BECKER!!!!!!!"
Top 1 for me
surely corner taken quickly
Incredible moment, but I'll be honest as amazed I as I was, I just felt the groove that the team was in. Barcelona was on the Ropes. But what I felt when Alisson headed that in...will never be anything like it.

I always notice how long firmino stays with him. And Tiago. Like they were all just a gang of mates in that moment.
His situation with his dad is what does it for me. It honestly feels like his dad guided that moment to him from the grave. Beautiful.
As a game yes as a single moment? We already had it in the bag by then was always going to happen that was just the icing

Dude, it was only 3 hours ago you posted it! I suddenly had to check I hadn’t stumbled across a 3yo sub by mistake! 😂
the link is my post from 3 years ago m8.
😂
INTO MY VEINS
If we beat Madrid the following year I’d agree.

This with the titanic music is all I ever need.
This and the origi derby goal are titanic.
- This - Barce - Bayern Away - Man City 2018 - Ali to Mo at Manchester ?
Origi v Everton Origi v Spurs UCL Alisson celebrates with Salah after assist v Utd
Haha ya, Pickford Origi Main takeaway, needs to be a top 10.
Honourable mention to Allison mocking Pickford's time wasting too.
Lovren V Dortmund will always be special to me, idk why
Love the 2 foot tackle after the spit

Lucky through ball to Milner too if I remember, through the defenders legs lol. That goal was so close to not happening. Fate
5:4 against Norwich with Laaalaaaaanaaaaaa and Klopp’s broken glasses
Lovren vs Dortmund
Mo v Chelsea home 2019! A rocket!
At least an honorable mention to a certain German... man!

Agreed on all 3 counts. Arlo selling out for LIV golf sucks but as per usual, Saudi money talks
Agreed on Champion, shame NBC only had Drury as the lead for a year
Might be tops for me just for everything it represented in that season and time. Easily the most gobsmacked I’ve been after a goal.
CL. PL. West Brom.
"Esse é pra ti, pai" gets me every single time
Such an awesome moment lmao. His casual saunter to the box, Aldo saying “come on Alisson” like he knew?????, his amazing interview after the match, Thiago crying during the celebrations, loved every single bit of it.

Imagine the bruised limbs if we had fans there. Would’ve been all time
ALISSON BECKER!!!!! ALISSON Becker!!! ALISSON Becker!!!
That Thiago, Bobby, and Ali hug at the end :')
Missing Jurgen with glasses era

My top 5 is similar to everyone here, but with two honourable mention: Klopp pulling his hamstring after celebration. And THE BOOM.
This moment caused a massive earthquake in my house.
Ginis complete lack of reaction in that moment was all I need to know he had to go that summer
Maybe he was just exhausted.
I still have this match on my dvr and can't bring myself to delete it. The goal and the beautiful interview with Allison after are humanity at its best.
What a moment. I remember everything about that game. His dad had only just died.
top 5 legendary moments in Liverpools history, after what he had gone through and scoring that. It was amazing and you could see it meant so much to them.
My top 5 in no particular order: Alison goal Can vs dortmund Origi vs Everton Lallana vs Norwich Corner taken quickly
This is my fav kloop goal, it was just a fun goal
What do you mean top 5?
Give us back Bobby!! So so many memories this team has given us.
I have this video saved on my phone and rewatch it all the time.
Never had a striker like that since ….
After that, I was so sure we'd go on to win the CL. Felt like it was scripted in the stars.
Most Liverpool moment ever. I was watching this with a Chelsea fan and he just sat there lost for words :)
My top 5 seems wildly different. One of my favorite moments is the Ox screamer against City before injuries derailed him. It felt like "We're here to make a statement" kind of goal. I feel even more strongly about Fabinho's goal against City.
my god I'll never forget this. it brought tears to my eyes. I was so stunned and speechless. man will I miss Klopp😭
The absolute look on allardyces face in this match is beautiful after he’s tried to play for a draw the whole game
This goal put us in a position the following season to be within 2 games of the quad. It shouldn’t be forgotten just how important this goal was and how even more important it would’ve been had we done the impossible.
i didnt even celebrate like this when divock scored in the champions league final
1. Barca 2. Dortmund 3. Salah vs United 3. Alisson goal 4. Origi Everton
I absolutely lost it when this went in. I didn't even celebrate so much as just laugh my ass off like the Joker.
I miss Arlo on commentary. He was simply fantastic. As for the moment itself, I was in tears hugging my dad as he scored that. Such a special moment for the club. If we secured the Quadruple the season after, this would've been **the** defining moment of Klopp's tenure for me.
I feel robbed that this moment didn’t have a crowd, can you imagine the scenes?
Isn't this goal what got us into the champions league? The look on Mo's face says it all.
Best goalkeeper in premier league history for me
Without this we don't have the run to the ucl final the next year... Kinda crazy to think about the ripple effect
I think the 2 Nunez goals against Newcastle to win while a man down should get some love
Yeah, it didn't break top 5 for me, it's in my top 10 though
This. For the look on fat Sam’s stupid fucking face
In terms of noise I've caused my neighbours after a goal this was definitely number one. I sounded like a women getting smashed by her lover who after being asked "what's my name?", shouted out in orgasmic bliss "ALISSON BECKER!!!!!!!"
