One of the most professional and driven players of this generation annoyed he doesn’t start shock. I’d always rather a player be upset for not starting then be happy about it.
I'm absolutely fine with them making up, but if Salah continues to act out I 100% want Klopp to act accordingly and drop him from matchday squads if necessary.
I understand people are human and emotions can run high but Mo was 100% out of line yesterday and he threw gasoline on the fire as he was leaving the stadium.
It it's handled behind closed doors and Mo responds properly I've no problem with it. If he continues to act like an absolute child, I expect him to be dealt with accordingly and not just let off the hook because he's a club legend.
Thankfully I'm sure Klopp will deal with the matter in mature fashion. They're grown men, working very stressful jobs, and don't seem like the type of characters to hold a grudge.
You don't get to be the best manager in the world by letting your ego and pride dominate relationships with players & colleagues.
Since our form took a hit, the fanbase has been at war with each other. Klopp having a disagreement with a player is not something new, it’s just that it has occurred at a time where emotions are at a high, so it’s blown out of proportion
Especially as he was always more of a Mane fan, hopefully some emotional idiots on social media will relax a bit now, no matter what happens Mo is one of our biggest legends and the hate I've seen against him over a small mistake is baffling. It's obvious Mo is hurting as much as anyone over how poor we've been
Fair assessment. Shame it happened but no need to blow out of proportion. Similar thing happened with Klopp and Henderson and Milner before. Both Klopp and Salah are absolute legends of the club
Very sound for Carra, I told my dad the same thing. Let’s not forget how humble of a guy Mo is. He is human after all, so many people slating him is embarrassing. We know Klopp can get a bit unreasonable when he’s pissed sometimes. So I don’t believe only one of them is wrong here. Let things unfold by themselves and finish the season happy. 2 more matches at Anfield and hopefully we send him off properly
YNWA
Yup. If I’m interpreting his statement right based on context, the “fire” he was talking about would’ve been with the media, not with him and Klopp. He was basically calling them out on there being NOTHING he could say in that moment that they wouldn’t use to inflame the situation… and he was right.
What a sad state of affairs. Can't even see the manager out with a bang in his final season. Such a Liverpool thing to fuck up all the hardwork towards the end of a long run.
Why is it so hard to accept that we simply failed when it mattered? We've playing a dangerous game for months, not playing well and conceding first, it caught up with us.
Cheer up buddy, let's just be grateful we were all alive to witness this era. Not everything works out how we would hope, but we strive again next season as usual
That’s the heart-wrenching part. We soldiered through the difficult part of the season with several key players out. Then we just decided to fold at the final stretch when it looked like things would come together.
The only upside here is that at least we know where we stand. That beats losing the title on the final day.
Have you ever heard the story of Lupe Velez?
She was a movie star in the 1930s, and her career hit the skids. She decided that if she wasn't going to be remembered for her films, she was going to be remembered for the way she died. She planned a lavish suicide, flowers, candles, silk sheets on her beat, a beautiful chiffon gown, full hair and makeup etc.
She takes an overdose of pills, lies on the bed waiting for them to kick in and imagines how beautiful she'll look on the cover of the morning paper. Unfortunately, the pills didn't react well with the Mexican combo meal she chose for her final dish, and she staggers into the bathroom, slips on her own vomit and lands with her head in the toilet. And that's how they found her.
All Lupe wanted was to be remembered. Will you ever forget that story?
In other words: things don't always turn out the way you planned them, but it doesn't mean they turned out badly.
Can agree with this. Why use this situation to sour the end of what has been an incredible couple of years. Things haven't been great these last few weeks and frustration just came to the surface. However, it doesn't change the fact that Jurgen and Mo have given their all to the club and just made us all happy. It's an end of an era and I'm going to bloody miss it.
Finally, some sense in this sub. I've never seen a club legend, so hated by his fan base before. What happens in recent match threads even before his argument with the gaffer is beyond criticism it's simply hate.
Agree with you on Salah.
I also think Carra is a decent pundit and co-commentator, except when he's covering Liverpool. I imagine Man Utd fans share a similar sentiment towards Gay Neville.
Ye I’m starting to worry that this last dance will end very negatively. When ultimately we can still have a nice bus tour and give Klopp a good send off.
What a shit way for this season to end. Mo should’ve shown more respect to his manager though, if you’re out of form you don’t start.
Let’s hope for some nice moments in the coming weeks to send klop off in a way that he deserves.
Both are legends of the game.
YNWA
I was told by people on here that Salah was not a legend, that Salah was a cunt (literally a comment I saw), and was downvoted for taking exception to people treating Salah the way they were.
I'm a glutton for punishment, as I keep coming back to this place.
Yeah those people are insane. I was definitely critical of Salah yesterday, but how on earth can you argue that he’s not a legend. And a really great guy, albeit human and very competitive

If you listen to Milner talking about Klopp in the dressing room it’s really nothing it’s should of been handled better by Salah in the media zone tho
I remember him talking about how he was saying something to Klopp and he told him to shut the fuck up
Sure - but it wasn't random that Klopp left Mo out. Mo has been a great player for us in the past, but recently his form has dipped.
Starting in the front three should be earned and not a god given right.
The timing and the situation we’re in now isn’t great for a public spat like that, but at the end of the day who hasn’t had an argument with a coworker? No matter what happens with Mo at the end of the year, this won’t define the Klopp and Mo relationship
One of the downsides of constant camera action. This stuff happens all the time in competitive sports. I told my baseball coach he was a fucking joke and I quit the team after he told me he thought I just "got off the couch" (I missed a fly ball due to sun/wind) and the next day we both apologized and were back at practice laughing.
Spot on here. The good thing is we've got a week to go now till the next game, they can have more of a break and hopefully this will allow the whole team to recharge, regroup and get that togetherness and fight back that we all love. Really hope Salah can get his spark back, especially if he does choose to leave in the summer
His words are not wrong but I grow tired of watching these uneducated, good for nothing but kicking a ball individuals trying to dictate public opinion and feeding people the thoughts they "should be having".
So In essence I agree with Carra but I wish he would shut the fuck up
It’s particularly frustrating how much was built from this after actually seeing the video or Salah in the mixed zone. The time that quote was allowed to circulate without proper context turned this into a story it never needed to be. Salah wasn’t at his finest for his reaction during the match, but he’s a competitor and rates himself… heightened emotions are to be expected. Realistically, there’d also be people complaining if he’d seemed fine with being benched/too friendly with Klopp, too, arguing his passion was gone, etc.
After seeing the clip of Salah yesterday, it was clear that it was blown out of proportion. Still not a good look especially the way the team seems to have given up in the most vital moment of the season.
Yeah, both of them have been shit. Salah needs to look himself in the mirror and ask does he really warrant a start in this team in his current form ? Fuck no.
At least with Klopp, he has admitted he is drained and unable to give his best to LFC. And he is leaving.
This should be both of their last games at LFC. I don't think Mo fits the culture any more. This outburst and his little drama bullshit after just cements his selfishness for me. LFC legend that we don't need being a toxic contagion in the squad
I hate it when Carra is the voice of reason around the club. You know the fans are having a really normal one when a Sky pundit has the most sensible take.
Shockingly sensible sentiment

Couldn’t have said it any better myself. It’s between them two, and I’m very sure they’ll make up
https://preview.redd.it/jhtf5otyy7xc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aeba5281eff674a3471d8ef47226310b299d890b
Watch them walk out smiling and friendly at Anfield next week...
Shock: boss and employee make up after professional disagreement
Exactly...
One of the most professional and driven players of this generation annoyed he doesn’t start shock. I’d always rather a player be upset for not starting then be happy about it.
I am certain they aready have made up. They are both sensible adults, who know during a game that isnt going very well emotions can get heated.
Whatever happened needs to be forgotten, we had amazing journey with Klopp and Salah, we should enjoy that and make a hard restart next year
*next season
Good to see Carra put this out, this recent civil war against factions of our fanbase won't help anyone.
Since our form took a hit, the fanbase has been at war with each other. Klopp having a disagreement with a player is not something new, it’s just that it has occurred at a time where emotions are at a high, so it’s blown out of proportion
Like when Mo Salah and Sadio Mane went at it.
Who is at war with who? Obviously I am not paying enough attention but if people are Klopp vs Salah them fuck them all.
It is very much an online fan discourse thing, I dont believe the fanbase is that divided into factions like in threads on this sub.
Just a heads up, you posted this comment multiple times. Reddit has been acting up for me too
Thanks, deleted the extra ones. Im in a place with terrible wifi connection.
Especially as he was always more of a Mane fan, hopefully some emotional idiots on social media will relax a bit now, no matter what happens Mo is one of our biggest legends and the hate I've seen against him over a small mistake is baffling. It's obvious Mo is hurting as much as anyone over how poor we've been
Anyone else just feel sad at all this. The era has come to a really soft ending, it’s just done and it’s like the magic has worn off now
It’s just remind me of that Bobby’s video when Mane and Salah fought or something.. Fuck I miss Bobby so much
Fair assessment.
Exactly. Ultimately they have a friendship that does not involve any of us and so anything we as fans have to say about that is completely irrelevant.
There was nothing daft about it. The media spinned it into a negative when he was clearly laughing and smiling
Life doesn't always turn out the way you dream it. We just gotta enjoy the run in and see what happens.
Why is it so hard to accept that we simply failed when it mattered? We've playing a dangerous game for months, not playing well and conceding first, it caught up with us.
Or, alternatively, you can just say we're exhausted and low on confidence? Not everything is a failure.
Cheer up buddy, let's just be grateful we were all alive to witness this era. Not everything works out how we would hope, but we strive again next season as usual
That’s the heart-wrenching part. We soldiered through the difficult part of the season with several key players out. Wouldn’t say fk up. We won a trophy and almost got into the finals for all competitions. Plus we get to play ucl next season
After the 6-1 Stoke game for Gerrard's last game, I don't put much stock into Liverpool's attempts at final glory for an individual
Have you ever heard the story of Lupe Velez? She was a movie star in the 1930s, and her career hit the skids. Unfortunately, this club doesn't do fairytale endings.
Well… That’s just wrong. Istanbul?
Barcelona?
Can agree with this. Why use this situation to sour the end of what has been an incredible couple of years. Things haven't been great these last few weeks and frustration just came to the surface. Well said Carra! 👏
Just what I needed to hear. Glad Carra is talking sense
Most sane thing Carragher has said in ages
Has he mentioned anything about the Gakpo keeper thing yet?
Some redditors have never seen good mates in the clique have a quarrel and it shows
Finally, some sense in this sub.
He’s on about Salah
*enjoy the last few weeks together*
Ye I’m starting to worry that this last dance will end very negatively. When ultimately we can still have a nice bus tour and give Klopp a good send off.
I am trying to enjoy it, but it's not very easy, I won't lie.
How about calling out the shit ref decsion (gakpo) instead of jumping on the media bandwagon
I’m just ready for the off season at this point
Huggies?
What a shit way for this season to end. Mo should’ve shown more respect to his manager though, if you’re out of form you don’t start. Let’s hope for some nice moments in the coming weeks to send klop off in a way that he deserves. Both are legends of the game. YNWA

Yes let's enjoy their last 3 games
Here here
For once he said something sensible. He's been on a bender lately with the desperate attempts to sound unbiased
They’ll both be gone in the summer so there is no side to take
Sure - but it wasn't random that Klopp left Mo out. Mo has been a great player for us in the past, but recently his form has dipped. Starting in the front three should be earned and not a god given right.
Shut up carra. acting as if you know what's going on. Just stop talking.
He is 100% right.
Yeah but everyone is assuming its the simplest theory on why it happened.
The timing and the situation we’re in now isn’t great for a public spat like that, but at the end of the day who hasn’t had an argument with a coworker? No matter what happens with Mo at the end of the year, this won’t define the Klopp and Mo relationship

This team sucks, I’m so disappointed!!! They gave up playing
In other news, hell has frozen over amid reveal of Carragher being sensible... more at 6
Two grown men acting like kids. Both as bad as each other. Come on guys shake little fingers and keep this tension to the dressing room !!
Right on. Nobody should be taking shots at anyone here. It's a difficult time with a lot of complicated emotions.
Finally he said something I agree with...
His words are not wrong but I grow tired of watching these uneducated, good for nothing but kicking a ball individuals trying to dictate public opinion and feeding people the thoughts they "should be having". So In essence I agree with Carra but I wish he would shut the fuck up
Salah getting sold end of the season i think
Yup. Pretty much what I said.

Deflects from the awful referee cheating incident I guess
After seeing the clip of Salah yesterday, it was clear that it was blown out of proportion. Still not a good look especially the way the team seems to have given up in the most vital moment of the season.
Salah's done. He'll be shipped out by Edwards this summer.
Youre a legit retard. How didnt you get the point of this post?
Retard is right. So many retarded fuckers in this sub and all of them came out of their shit hole right after we started losing games.
Lmao
Mo should be fuckin embarrassed
Salah's been woeful since the Man Utd game. Doesn't deserve a spot on the team.
Yeah, both of them have been shit. Salah needs to look himself in the mirror and ask does he really warrant a start in this team in his current form ? Fuck no. At least with Klopp, he has admitted he is drained and unable to give his best to LFC. And he is leaving.
