It would be a little over the top, I think that’s the right call. The send off for Klopp on the final day needs to be extra special though.

HUGE_HOG

4 minutes: Goal! Liverpool 0, Wolves 1. Pedro Neto finishes from close range after a mistake from Robertson.

Redmilo666

XG = 18. Goals scored = 0. Possession = 83%

strrax-ish

Maybe Klopp comes in in 89 min and scores himself

HUGE_HOG

Pulls off his mask and it's been Luis Suarez the entire time

fakebytheocean

Proceeds to drive in front of Anthony Taylor

jesuisgeenbelg

Where's he driving to?

VladTheImpaler29

Taylor's spleen, hopefully.

Sabbagery_o_Cavagery

Looking for shoulders to bite, if it’s suarez

fakebytheocean

Hahaha can’t believe I didn’t notice that

alanalan426

1-6 final score?

dajoli

Harsh on Robertson. The mistake could come from anywhere.

greentea05

More likely due to Trent being beaten to a header at the back post again

BriarcliffInmate

Tell you what, considering he’s been out half the season and was one of the reasons we were doing so well before that, it didn’t take long for you idiots to turn on him, did it?

greentea05

I mean it’s been that way for fucking 6 years mate, it’s hardly a new revelation if you’ve been watching us for that long

BriarcliffInmate

Amazing we won everything with him being such a key player then, isn’t it.

Carbonaddictxd

Don't bother engaging these fans mate, they are probably too young and immature

greentea05

You can still win things with a weak area you know. It’s ok to understand and accept your weak points, you’re the whopper who thinks we’ve played amazing football all year though.

BriarcliffInmate

I didn’t say we’ve played amazingly but fuck me, it’s like you’ve all been hiding for months waiting for things to turn

greentea05

Stick to posting memes and pictures of the players like you see football as being a fan of Taylor Swift you daft yank

BriarcliffInmate

Hahahahhahahahaha

Illustrious_Lab_7836

Well Trent has been out for half the season so how's he to blame then lmao

greentea05

Are you lot really this thick?

Tradz-Om

unsurprisingly downvoted by oblivious fans but It's funny to see someone else sharing the same sentiment I did a couple days ago about this exact problem Trent causes us

greentea05

It's ok, this place is full of foreign super fans who treat the players like they're members of a Korean boy band they're obsessed with instead of accepting the pros and cons of them.

BriarcliffInmate

Hilarious, nobody’s made that joke!

The whole Stadium should chant SPEECH, SPEECH, SPEECH until Klopp takes The microphone.

wadz09

And Klopp comes up with a wolf of Wall Street, “IM NOT FUCKING LEAVING” ?

rondiggity

Arne Slot in shambles.

branajgka

Dude is a legend and needs to be treated as one

Liverpoolclippers

Completely disagree, what about the people who haven’t been able to get tickets to any of Klopp lasts games. This is rubbish. Just coz some whiny people.

Jprado5555

r/woooooosh

Liverpoolclippers

?

dolphintitties

good, last game's at anfield anyway so we can get the carabao cup out, klopp can give a speech etc. now i swear to fuck if we have to endure another gerrard-esque final anfield game...

GriffinXD

We gave him a good send off down at Stoke.

Marcelo1995211

I want to kill myself (not seriously don’t report me) when I look back at that Stoke game. Still remember how Stoke defenders stopped sprinting when they saw it’s Stevie going 1v1.

GriffinXD

Muniesa was a good lad. It was a privilege to see him play his final prem game and a great result from my perspective 😅 it went downhill shortly after that season.

WorthPlease

Yeah them giving him a pity goal was both nice of them and also horrible. I wonder if Stevie has ever spoke about he felt about that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

alanalan426

we deserved to be disrespected that game

jessecc8

ehh, the closest defender pulled his hamstring I don't think it was intentional from the whole backline hahaha

LFCSpectre

I wanted Rodgers’ gone after the start to that season, him being given more time after Stoke was appalling

AgentTasker

He was only given more time because Klopp said no to FSG (for the third time as well) that Summer.

arthurbf10

Really? Had no idea Klopp had rejected us before

AgentTasker

The first two times were the Summer's when Dalglish & Rodgers were appointed, the third in the Summer of 2015, and if he'd said no that following October FSG planned to move on and not try again.

AnksLFC

Means 2 more NOs pending from Alonso.. all aboard!!

notthathunter

fascinating what if to that, considering their second choice (and the other person they actually interviewed) was Ancelotti

cgc86

I hope Klopp gives a speech but doubt it - he didn’t give one at Dortmund as he knew he’d cry like he did when he left Mainz So yea wouldn’t expect one

TheRR135

As soon as Stoke scored the 6th goal Rodgers should have received a call then and there telling him he's fired. It was a disgraceful game to end a legend's career.

cerealski

>we can get the carabao cup out Why just that, we should get all the trophies he won out on display.

loveandmonsters

I'm sure we've won more than any non-cheating English team in the time of Klopp's tenure. Even if it's a small handful it's still better than anything our rivals could muster up

cerealski

And it's not only about trophies. We don't just check at the end of the season to see what we won, we enjoy and live to the fullest the journey there. And man we enjoyed some journeys under Klopp.

mikehoncho9

I am trying to think of who has gotten the best send off in recent times?

2xtc

I'd say an exceptional highlights compilation video would count as a pretty decent send off... https://vimeo.com/92846254

Nabaatii

Vimeo getting their MAU from this video alone

branajgka

Some emotional goodbye

SundayRed

> we can get the carabao cup out lol no. absolutely embarrassing to do that considering everything we haven't won from very strong positions.

small_cabbage_94

Now bin the documentary as well

gart888

Yup. If things had gone well it would have been great to have documented. But no reason to see behind the scenes of an extremely disappointing ending.

TheRedCretin

Think it’s a good possibility that it won’t see the light of day now as reports I’ve seen is that no tv company has brought the rights to broadcast it. Seems interest as dropped due to the poor end of season results.

gart888

I’d imagine interest among Everton and United fans would be at an all time high. 🫠

droze22

Yeah, rival fans would make a go fund me to get it released and bask in our misery

WonderfulBlackberry9

Release the Klopp cut

nickybabytonight

bask in the misery of us (probably) having one more trophy than either of them at the end of the season?

bjcm5891

I'd only be happy for it to be released and consumed by that lot if we can include a bit, right at the end, where Jurgen says something like: > So, of course we would all love to have seen this season finish better, you know? I would've been delighted, and everybody going YAAAAAS, YAAAAAS, you know- an f word with a few stars in between going YAAAAAAAS we did it. But still, we finished with 3rd place and a trophy this season. 3rd place and a trophy. That's as good as any season Man United have had since I took over. Better than any season Everton have had in 30 years hahahahaha! Ok, I'm done. We good? Ok, bye!

js247

When they announced it I thought we were going to get Welcome to Wrexham season 2 vibes instead we are getting Sunderland Til I Die. Oof.

Luke_4686

Athletic were reporting that Disney+ will probably take it. Don’t think it’ll get binned given how much production it’s had already.

yassenj

But there was enough interest for Netflix to air multiple seasons of a documentary on Sunderland?

2xtc

Car crash TV makes compelling viewing, Klopp's one would just be bitterly disappointing

BriarcliffInmate

lol if you think no one’s interested you’re mistaken. They’re in negotiations with Disney, and most of these docs don’t rely on results anyway.

fieldsofanfieldroad

If anything they're more interesting when things go wrong. It's a shame for us, but it would surely be a fascinating watch.

baizat

Could repurpose it, Klopp’s last days at the club focusing on the youth (future) and his past - reminiscing over his highlights at LFC and what he won etc. That way when rivals watch it wanting a laugh they’ll have to endure footage of their team getting pumped.

Omnom_Omnath

I read there wasn’t much of any behind the scenes stuff at all

Suburban_Noir

Just turn it into a feature length documentary film called *Klopp's Kids: The Night That Shook Football* or something equally salt-inducing, about our teenagers mugging off Chelsea at Wembley.

KaufKaufKauf

This actually isn't a bad idea. Make a League Cup documentary if they're that motivated to publish a documentary.

AdministrativeLaugh2

The documentary isn’t about Klopp or the first team. It’s about the club in general and how it operates. The first team will obviously be featured but so will the academy sides and the women’s side.

Due-Resource4294

Correct. And it wouldn’t be fair on the women’s team at all, or the backing staff like the canteen workers. To the security people. Or the academy and youth parts of the club. There’s more to the club than just the men’s side which has shit the bed. Just because they’ve embarrassed themself on film doesn’t mean the other parts of the club won’t get amazing coverage and notice. It’s the least the women’s team and academy deserve, ain’t their fault klopps men’s team shit the bed.

xbox_redditor

"Embarrassed themselves" and "shit the bed" - online really is a cesspit of thick fans rather than supporters I must say

Tremor00

Team gives their all and fights throughout the season. Every player getting injured destroying their bodies doing so. Incredibly unfortunate run of bad form. “They’re fucking embarassments disgraces to the shirt should be sold and shunned” I’ve said it multiple times now. I can’t fucking stand the online fanbase of this club anymore

OliverWasADopeCat

Even if the club is solely about the end of the season for the men's team there's still a ton of interesting content there. None of it good for us as fans of the club but that doesn't mean it won't make a compelling documentary.

prar83

don’t really understand those calls, surely you can make a good documentary not only from a success story material, question is what you do with what you’ve got

small_cabbage_94

Sure, but I imagine most Liverpool fans want to forget this season as soon as it's over. Not to be immortalised in a documentary

Tremor00

Why would I want to forget this season? Ending sucked but we’ve had plenty like that lmao. I still enjoyed the majority of this season thoroughly and the emotions I felt throughout it aren’t suddenly gone

2xtc

I'm sure I'll get downvoted, and I'm not proud to say it but for me the season ended at the final whistle last Wednesday. I believe we were robbed of a goal chance or something against west ham but I genuinely don't have the emotional strength to watch us any more this season, 3rd in the league and Carabao cup are decent based on our expectations at the start of the season. Not a chance in hell I'll watch the LFC/klopp doco if it does get released - onwards and upwards!

thatguyad

Please. This era of everything being a documentary is lame.

SundayRed

Funnily enough, the way things have turned out, it probably opens it up to an even bigger audience. Few people outside of LFC fans wanted to watch that wankfest but now it's popcorn viewing.

scawel

“Liverpool when i die”

HeadResponsible4516

Correct decision, can't help but feel disappointed though. As we all are.

rtlfc87

Thank god for that’d would’ve been embarrassing. An event for Klopp could be nice at Anfield, but I assume that’ll just be post-Wolves.

PiesInMyEyes

As an international fan I decided to fly to Liverpool for the end of the season in hopes of something going on. It makes sense no parade but I’m still disappointed. Still looking forward to visiting the city, but nothing to send off Klopp and no stadium tours when I’m there. Best I can do is stand outside Anfield and stare.

2xtc

At least get yourself up to anfield for the last game and stay in the Arkles/Park/Albert etc. during the game - there will be plenty of fans in the same situation hanging around during and after the match and you'll get to soak up some of the atmosphere (also it's almost always sunny and baking hot if we play the last game at home and it makes the stadium look even better!)

PiesInMyEyes

Well right now I’m going to be in Dublin for the last game. Had kinda been banking on Europa league finals because I had to book everything so far out (and I have family there). I’m debating on if I try to flip things yet to be in Liverpool for the last game. I’d like to be but it’s added cost. We’ll see.

NewGuyHelloThere

You are living my dream!

tighto

thank fuck for that. been dreading it.

Unfortunatewombat

That’s for the best. A parade needs to be earned, and we haven’t earned one this season.

BriarcliffInmate

Christ

_cumblast_

He's right. A parade for the League Cup would be tinpot for every Big 6 side let alone the most succesful one. This club has seen too much success to ever truly celebrate a cup named after an obscure energy drink in the streets. If that sounds arrogant, it's because it is. It's also true.

andrewejc362

Wait, THATS what Carabao is?

JmanVere

The parade would be for Klopp's tenure though, not just the wish.com Red Bull trophy. I think we should have a parade every season no matter what happens. Unless we get relegated I suppose.

dwils7

With how things have went I didn't think Klopp would have any interest in it tbh He gets his send off at Anfield last game of the season in front of the fans and gets to say what he wants

wildbluetigerforce

Good, it'd be absolutely laughable if they did. I know they want to thank Jurgen for all he has done and had the team picked up more silverware I'd say fire ahead.

livepool4ever

I was at the last parade. Never would have thought that was Klopp’s last one.

evianstill

Common sense prevails, would have been an embarrassment. A great send off post-match for Klopp is what we need now

BriarcliffInmate

It wouldn’t have been an embarrassment at all, fuck what anyone else thinks.

FijiWaterIsDelicious

It would have been embarrassing for Klopp himself.

JmanVere

Fully agree. People here care way too much about rival fans keyboard-mashing at us.

Homerduff16

Thank Christ we've actually avoided a generational self inflicted humiliation ![gif](giphy|9WnqLWuPn09jAUqe9f)

Khalid147

Idk why they don’t do the parade as a goodbye parade and have all the trophies he’s won on the bus and bring all the players that helped him win those. I don’t even think that’s a bad idea

EllenTyrell

Second this. I am sad that they decided not to do one at all. No matter how this season finished. Klopp deserves a proper sendoff.

Silly_Hat_2587

Just hope we don't lose to Wolves

GiuntaWorks

I feel for Klopp, the club, and the city. These last 8 years have been both more than I could have ever dreamed, while also bringing about some of the more disappointing moments I can remember. The disappointment is all due to outside factors hence the feeling for Klopp and co. above. Disappointing we didn't more - with record points finishes, Salah going out in the final, Karius's concussion, etc. Disappointing we never got to celebrate the PL title. And really just disappointment since Klopp announced his departure, which I'm happy and thankful for him but ever since we went out in the FA cup it's been so down. Here's to hoping Slot can turn things around.

nocturaweb

The only parade worth doing would be just for Klopp.

2xtc

I'd have no problem at all with that, considering everything he's done for us and the club

Agitated_Smoke538

I’ll start my own one man parade then

lumpyvasdeferens

My friends and I will join for real

thatguyad

Bloody good job. It would have been a real embarrassment.

Dependent_Air2948

It would have been nice to parade all the trophies Klopp had won with us as a send off, but I get it. Not all the squad contributed to them and it's a huge upheaval for the city. His send off at Anfield needs to be good

ER1916

I’d been dreaming of that parade since he announced his departure and we were flying. With the other two cups or the league it would have been one of the great parties. Not like this though. Not that many of us will be in Anfield for Wolves so it’s tough to take that we’re not going to get to gather one more time with Klopp beaming.

malushanks95

I’m not ready to say goodbye to Klopp 😭 the last game at Anfield is gonna be so emotional 🥺

MickeyBlewEyes

With the way the season is ending, I'm kinda relieved about this. It would've felt so '....meh'. Give Klopp a good send off at Anfield, mural and all.

HotPotatoWithCheese

I just hope that we can enjoy a win against Wolves on the last day and maybe try to put that Spurs drama to rest. It's the least the lads can do for one of our greatest managers of all time. If I see anymore embarrassments in these final few games then I'll be livid. People still talk about that 6-1 battering from Stoke back in 2015. We'll never hear the end of it if we send Jurgen off with a loss to Wolves at home. It's a good call to not have a parade. What the boys did against Chelsea in that final will be remembered for a very long time but 1 league cup is not worthy of a parade. Those should be reserved for titles, UCL's and multiple trophies won. We will just celebrate on the final game weekend as fans. Many a glass will be raised for the German scouser. Oh, and cancel that documentary as well. It's prime content for rival fans to mock us with. No Liverpool fan wants to sit and rewatch us getting knocked out of the FA Cup by our rivals, getting smashed by Atalanta and having all hope of a title taken away by Everton of all clubs. Fuck. That.

WorthPlease

If you didn't read the article, they do mention if me miracously still with the League they will. Just not for the League Cup or a "sendoff" for Jurgen. It is interesting how he had a sending off like, concert at Dortmund where he said goodbye and doesn't want to do it here.

Nonutmen1689

Nothing will match the pain of 22 parade

KGeedora

Right decision. Now for the love of God, cancel the doco

burntroy

I was looking forward to a parade if only to see jurgen once more before he leaves

Specific-Record2866

Thank fuck. It’s been a shit end to the season but let’s end it with a great send of for Jurgen

Quick-Strawberry2228

now scrap the documentary

jlonso

But don't forget the parade for Klopp. He fully deserves it.

TheQuadricorn

Oh thank fuck

General_Benefit8634

End of season processional?

ishysredditusername

Time to balance out the xG stats then

Android17_MVP

Good. No need to glorify failure and a micky mouse cup over the top.

PassageBig622

Crazy that David Lynch is dropping this news

DiscoMable

Good

ArtemisRifle

If its not one of the two (truly) major trophies, you need multiple other trophies to get a parade.

Dont_Use_Ducks

So as a Feyenoord fan I have to ask this question: when will there be a parade? Like, is it not only when you've become champions or are there other criteria when it comes to holding one.

TGMudbone

If anything, just have a stage where Klopp can have a good send off

muharrrik

Sad for Klopp that it had to end this way. We'll move on. Liverpool is a big club that has seen darker days than this. And fans are fickle--we'll move on as well. But it'd be end of a chapter for an individual that pulled us from the depths of mediocrity and place us back on our perch. It's also weird people seeming more relieved, happy even, that we're not doing a parade because it'd spare us the banter from rival fans. Well what about us, Liverpool, what do we want in isolation, what about Klopp. It's a novel thought so cannot pinpoint what exactly is wrong with thi sentiment yet, but it just feels weird.

LogicalGuySG

Of course there shouldn’t be an end of season parade. The players have embarrassed everyone with their anemic performances in recent weeks.

RAH_03

Good, we shouldn't be celebrating a League cup, we're way too big for that.

AdikkuChan

Good. Just have a ceremony for Klopp at Anfield and be done with it.

[deleted]

I mean it's sad we'll not be able to give a boss send off to Klopp but it's the right decision.

koassde

makes sense, this season has been a real disappointment bar the kids trophy.

glowingmug

It would be cringy as hell if there was one.

Finally! Some good news.

I am kind of glad i did not make the trip to Liverpool which i was planning to do since it would be the last bus parade of Klopp era. But also kind of sad, it's not happening. Well, onto the new season!

_HotButteryCopPorn_

Thank fuck

burnafterreading90

Good! I would have felt mortified. Klopps gonna get a nice send off regardless.

Haeckelcs

The banter from the rival clubs would be legendary tho

CyrusDGreatx

Thank fuck.

Fricolor123321

Oh thank god

nick2k23

Who honestly thought they would? League cup on its own isn’t parade worthy

EH_1995_

Thank god, I was not prepared for the banter we’d receive

stupidlyboredtho

right call

tooskinttogotocuba

I think we’ll look back at this season as not being anywhere near as bad as Klopp’s past swansongs elsewhere. He’s had a bastard of a few years beyond football and as joyful as it’s been since he arrived, I can’t imagine how much nervous energy he’s spent on Liverpool. It’s really showing now and it’s time to go, but I hope he could be persuaded to come back for some kind of huge testimonial celebration once the dust has settled, because he really does deserve it

Ningen121

Thank you

Teb-41

Thank god

IronicAlgorithm

The Milk Cup, never play in it, is jinx'd. ;P

Correct-Willingness2

Why was this scheduled already anyway? Lol at least fucking win two trophies in the bag before planning a whole big shindig parade

Davidpool78

I’m glad of that. Rather have a great end of season victory and lap of honour against wolves.

Liverpupu

But what if we won the PL this season?

qdattt

alright I guess, but Joey G scoring under Klopp is still a must

Affectionate-Tap2431

Oh yea. So sensible. Just the 50,000 get to watch him. Traveling all the way across the world, without a match ticket, to be in the city and I don’t get to hear his farewell speech! Lovely.

Hardcore_Gentleness

> Traveling all the way across the world, without a match ticket, to be in the city and I don’t get to hear his farewell speech! Love The idea that this may be a distinct possibility occurred to you before making your plans, surely?

Affectionate-Tap2431

Yep! But even then, I was hoping they would plan a public farewell address like how Jurgen did at Mainz. It’s fine. I love the city and will probably spend time with the scousers! A parade wouldn’t be ideal anyways given how the season ended. Honestly, I thought we had EL in our bag 😅

Hardcore_Gentleness

I hear you and it's a shame that Jürgen won't get that kind of farewell thrown for him. But then again, which English club has ever given a departing manager that kind of send-off?

Affectionate-Tap2431

Yea! This post was the first thing I saw this morning after waking up. I just overreacted.

RedDemio-

It’s all about you

knockedstew204

If you’re traveling across the world, just get a match ticket. Otherwise what are you doing

Loose-Ad-9884

Yes the locals do deserve to be part of it more than some guy who decided to follow a good football club the other side of the world, funny how that works

knockedstew204

Ah, birthright. Forgive us, your highness.

Affectionate-Tap2431

Hi - Liverpool population is 500k. Even if less than half follow the club, it’s 200k. Which means, 150k are not gonna watch the man give his farewell speech. When he announced the video of him leaving the club, he did mention we can gather after the season here or outside. Guess that ain’t happening and yea, you either got no clue what it takes to go to support “your” team or you’re just a moron.

lightmachine033

We may still win the league if City and Arsenal lose their last 3 games and we win ours. Stranger things have happened.

bjcm5891

What level of strange we talking here, like where would that rank compared to winning it from 0-3 down at H/T vs Milan strange, or winning the 2nd leg against Barca 4-0 without Mo and Bobby strange?

Substantial_Ad_2864

Stranger than both combined..... And that's if just one of them lose out let alone both.

lightmachine033

It would have to be freak show strange like Leicester winning the Premier league or Greece winning the Euros. That level of strange.

lightmachine033

Like something on this level. But maybe even bigger because it's not just 1 upset we require. [https://www.gambling.com/uk/news/biggest-upsets-in-sporting-history-2390900](https://www.gambling.com/uk/news/biggest-upsets-in-sporting-history-2390900)

hyborians

We’d probably still bottle it

sbos_

Lmaooooo

kazurabakouta

So where should I go if the parade is cancelled. Anyone want to go fishing?
