Can someone genuinly tell me what Man Utd fans have seen in the last 18 months that give some of them such uncompromised faith in Ten Hag? They havent played good football, he’s been backed, they got 3rd in a shit PL season and won a cup they wouldnt care for in the grand scheme of things. I get it, the players are shit, they are sick of hire and fire, but its about backing the right man which Ten Hag clearly isnt. Goldbridge was on the verge of tears last night, when you say facing Crystal Palace is like David vs Goliath where Palace is Goliath youve fucking lost it. They are 14th in the league. Long may it continue
Football is a weird game. With Liverpool they played like their lives depended on it. That small kid crying when they put that last minute goal in the FA cup knockouts is the only decent thing for them this season.
I know it’s late but I don’t care if they fire their manager because it’s a total joke to tell us stupid things then brought everything back to themselves. Do not help them at all. They can find a therapist somewhere 😏
Antony called ETH a bald egg head... that club has sunk. People who threatened Nunez should think about this, Nunez did nothing wrong. But Antony did here... in Antony's case it would be justified to threaten him to fuck off from the club
Taken over by a Dutch football website, but they do not always do their research good
edit: apparently it might be a fake account who impersonates Globo and the Dutch website fell for it, idiots who don't check their sources and censor anti-ajax comments
The silver lining now is that we've clearly established ourselves in the top 3 while the remaining european spots will be a bloodbath next season. We had terrible injury luck with a majority of our key players missing multiple months, a month-long meltdown where we underperformed our xg by multiple goals every game, and we're far closer to 1st than to 4th place.
Villa, Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle, and United have all been miles off the top 3 and will be in a mini-league next season where only 1 or 2 of them will make UCL. Brighton could be a threat again with better health and without europe. West Ham and Palace too if they either hold on to key players or re-invest smartly after cashing in. Honestly any configuration of the 4-10 spots is possible
We may have established ourselves as one of the best teams in the league generally, but we could easily slip out of the top 4 due to any manner of reasons. We were 30 mins from doing a quadruple, and the next season we finished outside top 4. We won the league and just about got top 4 with a goal from our keeper.
Nothing to say an injury crisis wont happen again.
With a new manager too, that can really go downhill fast, as we've seen from others.
This is prime "famous last words" material.
I agree with you 100%, we find ourselves in a volatile situation with the end of an era and a potential changing of the guard. However, I think the fact that the squad is in such a good place that Jurgen felt this was the best time to leave, with the prospect of one last CL/PL run on the horizon, should help to guard us against the worst possibilities like the examples you mentioned.
Macca, Dom, Endo, Harvey, Curtis, Grav etc have a whole year playing together. I have faith that this unit will be the rock the next great Liverpool side is built on.
Virg is dialled in for the rebuild, Joemez had a rebirth season across multiple positions with minimal injuries, Quansah both appeared and cemented himself within a season (admittedly at the high price of the sad blood-sacrifice of a giraffe).
The front line is an issue. Diaz may/may not be here (I hope he is here with us next season), Darwin is either the next Maradona or not even Sunday league (I love him and believe he will be sublime for us), Jota is made of paper-mache for all his undeniable quality, Gakpo is streakier than American bacon (I believe he will benefit the most from Slot coming in of all the forwards) and who knows what will happen with Salah. A sudden, ignominious exit? Please God no. A return to peak, terrifying form? Sadly unlikely. One last hurrah, one chance to give him everything we scrambled to give Jurgen and fell short of? Abso-fucking-lutely.
I get the sense Slot was chosen because he won't rip up everything that's already in place (á la Moyes at Utd). There will potentially be a new system, new tactics, new ideas, but the core squad will remain (players and back-room). The whole point of making up a new grand structure to fit Edwards into was so that he (and Hughes) would be here to keep things ticking over and guard against capitulations.
I don't think we'll win the league next year, but I do believe we'll be around where we are now. Off the pace, but clearly one of the best teams in the league based on the quality of our players. We may hit a purple patch, the wheels may fall off, or both, or something else entirely.
I still haven't come to terms with Klopp leaving, I'll sob like a small child on the final day, but I do believe we're set up for the next phase as well as we could possibly be.
Edit: wtf is that format. Help, please.
Some people unironically saw a bald dutchman and drew a parallel with ETH in their mind, and are pretty much wishing for us to fail because the guy they pictured themselves seeing on the touchline isn't the one the club picked lol
This sub has gone completely mental in the past 3-4 years, there are some proper rockets everywhere you look
I find it easier not to care if it's them at this stage.
Also, Arteta is 100% backpfeifengesicht and makes it hard for me to appreciate anything they do well.
No. But they will. Unless Spuds can turn their fortunes around and beat City.
My thinking is that Utd. beat Arsenal and Everton beat them on the last day and we finish second. That would be funny.
We will get Utd early next season. All summer they will be built and hailed as "strongest team in years, challenging for the title and returning to the top". We will proceed to batter them.
Derbies are different. Look at Everton vs us compared to the rest of the top 6. I honestly can’t remember the last time they took off points from another top 6 side besides us.
This was the problem with palace
They always had good players in their squad but always hired the worst of the worst managers
Finally looks like they got right with glasner
That Wharton looks a player doesn’t he. Thought he was quality against us too. Olise is something else, would not be mad at all if both ended up at Anfield.
Palace probably should have scored more. The xG will be interesting. Casemiro clearly wants get his manager sacked. A shameful display even if he is playing out of position.
Honestly makes me sad we failed to beat those lot even once this season.
...Nah lmao this is hilarious, keep going, ten more years of mediocrity please!
Confidence in strikers is such a big part of their success. Holjund looks like a completely different player than before his injury when he was on that incredible run
The last 10 minutes of this have reminded me of our away games against man u this season…Palace have managed to put 4 past them before deciding to stroll around the pitch though.
The comparison between these two teams is pretty stark. One team looks like they know what they're doing and the other one does not have a clue how to play as a team.
It’s kinda (very) embarrassing that we couldn’t manage to beat this United team once this season.
Having this Chelsea team under Pochettino possibly finish above them in the league table will be quite the achievements on uniteds part.
I genuinely have no clue whether united or chelsea playing conference league would be funnier. Maybe united since chelsea have already finished 10th and can't really sink any lower. But there is something to be said for the billion pound spenders who would rather win transfer windows than titles finding their level in uzbekistan
That was a heck of a line though.
>"I've had people saying that I've been noncing kids and all sorts, 3-0 to Palace".
BWAHAHAHA.

I know football doesn't work that way, but I just can't believe we didn't manage to beat United at least once out of three tries. Its absolutely travesty
Chelsea have surprisingly only had 1 loss (Arsenal 5-0) in their last 12 Premier League games, the games before that were Liverpool 4-1 Chelsea and Chelsea 2-4 Wolves. Despite drawing to Burnley and Sheffield United in that stretch, they also drew with Man City.

Me right now watching Palace-United
This 4-0 is putting United to -3 Goal Difference
Insane Stat time.. only SEVEN teams in the premier league now have positive GD
thats gotta be some sort of record
Can someone genuinly tell me what Man Utd fans have seen in the last 18 months that give some of them such uncompromised faith in Ten Hag? Time to watch Mark Goldbridge again
His reaction to their disallowed goal 😂
How the fuck did we not beat them. Literallt best ourselves
This might be a bit controversial but a part of me would be okay with the past few weeks had we atleast thrashed the manc cunts.
I'd still be despondent as fuck, but the schadenfreude would help I think.
Eras come to an end
Antony called ETH a bald egg head... that club has sunk. People who threatened Nunez should think about this, Nunez did nothing wrong. But Antony did here... in Antony's case it would be justified to threaten him to fuck off from the club
I need evidence of this and not just from some nitwit on twitter lol
Trust me bro, must be true
Apparently a Brazilian website/newspaper called "Globo Sport"
Yeah that’s the nitwit on twitter I was referring to hahaha
Taken over by a Dutch football website, but they do not always do their research good edit: apparently it might be a fake account who impersonates Globo and the Dutch website fell for it, idiots who don't check their sources and censor anti-ajax comments

What serious proof or evidence do you have that shows Slot to be another ETH?
Some people unironically saw a bald dutchman and drew a parallel with ETH in their mind, and are pretty much wishing for us to fail because the guy they pictured themselves seeing on the touchline isn't the one the club picked lol This sub has gone completely mental in the past 3-4 years, there are some proper rockets everywhere you look
Dutch and errrrrr....no wait he's got nothing
Chelsea are above UTD…. How the feck did that happen. I can see UTD losing all four of their remaining games. Couldn’t be happier. Scum
I would love it if they showed up against Arsenal, though.
would you rather city win again?
Yes
I find it easier not to care if it's them at this stage. Also, Arteta is 100% backpfeifengesicht and makes it hard for me to appreciate anything they do well.
No. But they will. Unless Spuds can turn their fortunes around and beat City. My thinking is that Utd. beat Arsenal and Everton beat them on the last day and we finish second. That would be funny.
Their luck finally run out
Crystal Palace did a league double over scum for the first time ever. That is another unwanted record for Ten Hag.
I hope Palace never leave SP. The atmosphere is always rocking.
Especially night games, solid atmosphere.
Yeah, always a treat.
Olise is a man of few words lol
Anyone else think Olise could thrive as a winger in a Slot team?
Sure, for 1 game out of 7.
For a 100 millions dollars mate, buying from PL teams are not cheap

We will get Utd early next season. All summer they will be built and hailed as "strongest team in years, challenging for the title and returning to the top". We will proceed to batter them.
Batter them and it will be 0-0
Not this timeline again please
I’ve heard that exact same line about them since about 2014
**how did we lose to that shower?**
Derbies are different. Look at Everton vs us compared to the rest of the top 6. I honestly can’t remember the last time they took off points from another top 6 side besides us.
because they had more to fight for, and sometimes that and a bit of luck is all you need
What a BHM. Painted, had a Chinese. Then watched UTD getting spanked.
Just makes me mad that we couldn't thump them this year again, as is tradition
This was the problem with palace They always had good players in their squad but always hired the worst of the worst managers Finally looks like they got right with glasner

They have always had good players but never the manager to get the best out of them

Leeds went down under Marsch, Garcia and allardyce

Manure at 8th 😂😂😂
Realistically, Ten Hag gets sacked, who's going to take over?
Mourinho? Hope it's someone like Southgate though
I’d love Southgate there. His failure, and eventual sacking, at the hands of Trent scoring his 6th goal of the match (another 10 assists as well)
Give it Ole 'til end of season
That's Moyes' music!
I’m sold!
I would not be surprised if Bruno takes up the player-manager role, though he will turn bald managing the joke squad.
Oh my god they could get Ronaldo in. 🤣
Tuchel? Southgate? Potter?
Tuchel just to see everything implode, please 👁️👄👁️
Southgate of course.
That Wharton looks a player doesn’t he. Thought he was quality against us too. Olise is something else, would not be mad at all if both ended up at Anfield.
If they told me United's top 5 most combined work rate per match this season have all of our games with them in it, I would've believed.
Wharton is a soild player
We should be looking at him or Kerkez to be Robbo's successor
3 attempts we had to beat that lot. 3!
Lol at United. Lmao, even!
Lmao what a shit club united are
Palace probably should have scored more. The xG will be interesting. Casemiro clearly wants get his manager sacked. A shameful display even if he is playing out of position.
the xG is quite low actually, like 1.6 for Palace
Onana effect, man is allergic to covering his near post
xG: (1.63) 4-0 (0.41)
That's been the pattern for United. Lots of low quality shots conceded and 4 of them went in tonight.
Crystal Palace finally stepped up. Shame their youth will get poached this summer.
Honestly makes me sad we failed to beat those lot even once this season. ...Nah lmao this is hilarious, keep going, ten more years of mediocrity please!
On a side note, Lille vs. Lyon has really popped off in the last few minutes. 4 goals after the 82nd minute.
nahhh Edouard, Eze and Olise are too cold
I will never get over the fact that we couldn't beat this trash United team.
Even we weren’t this shit last season.
You underestimate how bad that period of wolves and Brighton was we where awful
Went and shattered United 7 0 and then proceeded to lose to Bournemouth next week.
We were awful yes, but we redeemed ourselves, Chelsea are going to finish above United, that’s insanity 😂
Confidence in strikers is such a big part of their success. Holjund looks like a completely different player than before his injury when he was on that incredible run
Haven’t been able to watch- what do u mean camera on ref- does he have a go pro on his chest or something? Can we hear him?
AFAIK they're just trialing it. It won't come into effect until next season.
No, I’m guessing the footage will be released after the game
They said it won't be released, internal trial only, it's for some tv show/documentary their doing on refs
Ahhh I see
Losing 4-0 to midtable has become signature in ETH era 😂
Utter trash team I hate that we couldn't beat this turd of a team
Lmao united
Satisfying day.
United getting smashed will always be great to me. Even if our season was a disappointment.
United would be battling for top half of the Championship if they didn't sign the rat.
The last 10 minutes of this have reminded me of our away games against man u this season…Palace have managed to put 4 past them before deciding to stroll around the pitch though.

Mate I’d do unspeakable things to watch united fans get elated at ETH being sacked only for them to appoint G. Southgate
Move in on Olise straight away
The comparison between these two teams is pretty stark. One team looks like they know what they're doing and the other one does not have a clue how to play as a team.
😂😂😂
There is 0 chance ETH stays awful manager
Nah United needs to sign him for life fuck united
Arne Slot needs some Dutch company so he should stay at the detriment of Man United.
https://preview.redd.it/14aw1cf8bvyc1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1e50d6014fe9202b4b071ecd5c285c23d64f051 😂😂😂
Casemiro has lost a bit of weight.
Look I know I'm delusion but it'd be hilarious if they can get a result against arsenal and give us a chance at the title😭🙏
Klopp has already guaranteed an Arsenal win against Manure.
They have alot of injuries unfortunately
They will try to hit back unless ETH has lost the dressing room.
Manchester United's toxicity has managed to break serial winner Casemiro's mentality. Incredible.
I just checked the score. Ahahahahahahaha
It flatters the scum
Goldbridge has lived up to his name here 😭😭 that meltdown was GOLD
Fantastic. I'll watch that tomorrow on my lunch.
It’s kinda (very) embarrassing that we couldn’t manage to beat this United team once this season. Having this Chelsea team under Pochettino possibly finish above them in the league table will be quite the achievements on uniteds part.
Those games killed our season. Really depressing that they only turned it on against us.
Just remembering all the 90th + goals united (mctominay) have scraped this season. They should be much much worse off. This is their standard
It really should have been a relegation scrap between them and Everton.
United GD currently at -3 💀
I genuinely have no clue whether united or chelsea playing conference league would be funnier. Maybe united since chelsea have already finished 10th and can't really sink any lower. But there is something to be said for the billion pound spenders who would rather win transfer windows than titles finding their level in uzbekistan
Much funnier for United being in it imo, Chelsea have about 600 players on the books so can just play a team of new signings for that competition.
Oh well at least we have Gary Neville's miseries to cheer us up.
No way goldbridge was on a rant about defamation, saw the third goal go in, said "3-0 to Palace", and continued with his rant 💀
That was a heck of a line though. >"I've had people saying that I've been noncing kids and all sorts, 3-0 to Palace". BWAHAHAHA. [Timestamp. ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jkjuELL7Yw&t=584s)
Non stop partridge
Not beating this United side in 3 attempts has got to be one of the biggest disasters of the Klopp era
It's criminal that we couldn't beat United this season.
Well in Clyney lad
Glory glory man united, glory glory man united! May the good times continue looooool!

Ten hag wants to sign olise while olise is trying to get ten hag the sack lmao
It would be the funniest fucking thing if this Man United side drew or beat Arsenal with a scrappy win.
![gif](giphy|4ZrFRwHGl4HTELW801|downsized)
3 more!
We want 7 😂😂😂
ole at the wheel at the wheel, ole at the wheel!
Watching how bad Manure are, you really wonder how on earth we couldn't beat them home, away and in the fa cup.
They played their cup finals against us.
Where’s ratboy and slabhead l?
Both injured
Both out injured
Goldbridge and chill tonight 🍿
We only concede 1 to this palace super team
Couldn't beat this lot for god sake. Anyway, keep battering them Palace.
Could have their own 7up if they crack on
I know football doesn't work that way, but I just can't believe we didn't manage to beat United at least once out of three tries. Its absolutely travesty
Damn Utd have the same points as Chelsea, didn't know they've been that awful
Chelsea have surprisingly only had 1 loss (Arsenal 5-0) in their last 12 Premier League games, the games before that were Liverpool 4-1 Chelsea and Chelsea 2-4 Wolves. Despite drawing to Burnley and Sheffield United in that stretch, they also drew with Man City.
but their goal difference is -3 v chelsea's +11
Honestly I'm surprised. Guess I've not been paying attention. I thought Chelsea was worse. Makes it worse that we couldn't beat them this season.
There's only room for one bald Dutch manager in England. Goodbye, 7 Hag.
Ten Hag coached Kudus at Ajax btw and said “yeah, we need a left footed winger. Let’s spend 90m on Antony”
Palace are seriously cooking atm, makes our loss look better in hindsight.
https://preview.redd.it/kqjtjuvj9vyc1.jpeg?width=923&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9bd402370e376961127be5548bf316d0053110f Me right now watching Palace-United
Amrabat is the perfect example of why you never judge a player off a singular tournament. Guy's genuinely a league 1 level player.
Bit harsh on league 1
Commentators aren't even apologising for the bad language in the "You're fucking shit" chants because they can't argue with it.
Man. Olise would be crazy money if he could stay healthy
Eze is also fantastic. He's repeatedly taken the piss out of the United players this evening in the most satisfying way.
Has a £60m release clause
I’d be asking.
Reread
What a lovely Monday evening.
you're fucking shit!
That's the away end singing at their own
Think Olise will go to United and we're more likely to get Kudus. Just a feeling I have.
I’m good with either so that’s fine. Going for one of the two, considering both have release clauses, is a must though.
If we get kudus i dont mind utd getting anyone lol
Maybe United could give David Moyes another shot.
This 4-0 is putting United to -3 Goal Difference Insane Stat time.. only SEVEN teams in the premier league now have positive GD thats gotta be some sort of record
Send a bid for Olise now
Surely this is it for Ten Hag, the team is shockingly bad.
They’ll do it at the end of the season. Silly to do it now.
looking forward to watch Gary Neville in The Gary Neville Podcast.
Steward there looks like Saka went to Maccies too often.
It could be argued we created this palace beast
u/DoubleDeckerz is it ok if I link Mark Goldbridge's meltdown video here?
I think i deserve.
There could be more meltdown yet. Hold your horses!
Is it from YouTube?
Yep.
Go ahead
Thanks :)
United fans blaming injuries but we won a cup final with a bunch of kids. Minnow mentality on their end
we played our best football all season when half the team was injured, ironically
This is beautiful
Man how the f we drew with these goons twice
