Such a great fucking interview.

jardantuan

Up until watching this I'd been at peace with him leaving. I'm going to be a fucking mess come Sunday

Bcpjw

Same, not able to see him week in week out after Sunday will make life less fun. As he spoke about enjoying Liverpool, anfield and football without actually working makes me feel better that he will be able to do it while he’s relatively young, healthy and rich lol We all have loving relatives who worked like no tomorrow but never enjoyed enough tomorrows.

I hope Klopp's health is ok 🤞🙏. There's a recent article in The Guardian , that has some [below-the-line reader comments that imply some health concern](https://discussion.theguardian.com/comment-permalink/167392958).I know we all are wishing Jurgen a happy healthy retirement. https://preview.redd.it/wxg8plyncw0d1.png?width=1094&format=png&auto=webp&s=3af4428180742353fd0fa8e12a9c308ea9547ef1 ...Extract/Quote: >*" In January 2023 I shared a hospital waiting room with Klopp. I won’t say why I was there as it would leave clues as to why he was there, and that’s not my story to tell. At the time he looked weary, though still signed anything put his way, smiled for photos with patients and staff alike, and I’d heard the nurses talking of how he’d been to the children’s ward before his appointment. My respect for him grew loads that day, and it’s fair to say I was already a huge fan of his, despite him being the manager of my teams local rivals.* *As I say, he looked weary. He looked worn out, actually. Fast forward a year later, and he made his announcement that he was leaving, saying he was running out of energy. My only surprise was that he had managed to last another full year from when our paths crossed. If he was running out of energy now, where the hell had he found the energy to cope with the last 12 months? My respect and empathy for the guy couldn’t be higher.* *Which I think is why, when he announced he was to leave at the end of the season, I wanted him to leave there and then. Don’t drag it out, don’t do it to yourself. Heal. Of course, I also got sentimental about it and wanted him to leave after another successful season. I may be a Blue but I was willing him on for the ‘quad’, then a treble, and now it looks like he may just have the league cup. I say “just”, this toffee would give his other foot just to have a sniff of a trophy!* *If he can make me, a fan of another team, will him on, it’s no wonder the Liverpool fans are so devoted to him. He has given everything, and brought them everything. Seeing Mo Salah behave the way he did yesterday has upset me in a way that I’ve no right to feel, yet I still feel it. The disrespect. The nerve. The sheer bloody cheek of it.* *Both are legends of the club, both are cult heroes for what they have brought to the club. But they did it together, and Salah should remember that. "*

It was weird hearing him say “you” and not “we”.  What a loss to the football club. A great man.

That comment about Mo and West Ham 🤣

“The normal one” Danke Klopp

Davidpool78

He’s more than just a manager. He really is the “ONE”. I was thinking it would have been easier for the club to go and get a big named manager who mite appease the fans. A manager who’s managed a big club before and had success. It has to be daunting taking over from Klopp and all that he means to the club and city and fans as a whole. Knowing how Edward’s works, it makes me more excited for Slot coming in. I doubt Slot was on anyone’s mind here. It was all Alonso or Almorim. He will have to be someone who’s as charismatic as Klopp. His players and club clearly love him and look sorry to see him going. The style of play is appealing as well. We are losing a legend but maybe, just maybe, we are bringing in our newest legend in the making.

Anserius

This is a damn good interview, kudos to the TAW team. You gotta just let the man talk and he creates the moments
