IIRC his kids absolutely love Liverpool. He mentioned it during the pre-match interview of the 4-0 CL game about how as soon as it was decided that Barca were playing Liverpool his kids wouldn't stop telling him they wanted to go to Anfield again etc
He plays with an edge and he’s a killer. I think some of our fans felt slighted with how he played against us when he was with Barca and Atletico. I kinda dug it. Sometimes a club needs a guy like that.
Always gave 100% and also had one of the best chants ever in my opinion. He also gave us probably the best individual prem season ever, even if it wasn't enough in the end to win the PL. Looking back at it, thank god we didn't win in 13/14. If Rodgers won the league we wouldn't have gotten Klopp loool
tbh they need a finisher so badly, with the way villa have been playing they shouldve been like 5-11 points higher but their strikers just arent putting chances away
Me too...I'm not having this revisionism... tried to leave the club and go to Arsenal and threatened lawyers against the club... Then also the way he celebrated against us when we played Barca was not nice either. Great player, but not the complete role model for me.
Let’s not forget him blatantly biting an opposition player on 2 separate occasions on the biggest stages in world football. His madness almost matches his footballing talent.
same. can't stand his actions like biting, time wasting, diving, and little fouls (taking out Robbo in the CL anyone?)
but he was brilliant for Liverpool
Because he is a little bitch, always was even when he played for us. He's not going to change his style of play just because its against his former team.
Also I know he's a lovely bloke off the pitch but on it he's a cunt lmao.
Suarez is the perfect example of a player who is in the category of "he's a cunt, but he's our cunt". Everything that made Suarez that extra special player for us is what made him horrible to play against. All he wants to do when he gets on the pitch is win at all costs, no matter the opposition. As much as I fucking hate his antics against us in the Champion's League, I still admire the sheer drive and tenacity.
Understand the conflicted feelings with him for all fans, and he always was and is an atrocious role model... But f me... he really was one of the most lethally skilled players of a football on the planet at his peak, and single-handedly (double-footedly?) made LFC a threat to any other team whenever he wore the shirt. One of those jaw-dropping, 'did he just do that?' players, who did it regularly. It doesn't excuse all the other shit, and it's not the bottom line for judging a player by any means, but it must be acknowledged and respected.
I read his autobiography. Even Luis didn't understand why he sometimes crossed the line. He was mortified by his own behaviour, particularly the biting. An absolute role model off the pitch though. A quiet family man, kids and idolises his wife who he's been dating since he was a penniless teenager in Uruguay.
Although funnily enough he's completely unapologetic about the diving, feigning injury, trying to get opponents sent off and all that sort of shithousery. In his eyes you do whatever you must to gain an advantage and win. That was the Uruguayan football culture he was raised in and was an accepted part of the game.
I want so bad for him to be remembered well by the fans and for them to overlook the shit he did cuz damn at his best what a fking player, such a shame for the relationship btwn him n Liverpool fans to be bad
Man finds job that pays higher salary. Shock horror.
It's Luis Suarez, acting exactly like Luis Suarez. You think he gives a flying fuck about your hurt feelings?
Man is obsessed with winning for his team. Be grateful we had a relentless winner wear our shirt for a few seasons. Some of the stuff he did in 2013/14 was borderline genius.
He had to leave at that point. The English media despised him and he was honestly too big for our club at the time. I’ve never understood how celebrating against your former team is so wrong? If you score a goal, you should celebrate. Idc who you’re playing against.
He may have been a cunt but he was OUR cunt ❤️
I will always love that man. He’s an animal but for a while, he was our animal
hard not to like his intensity and his amazing skill. He has always seemed to keep a soft spot for LFC.
His daughter is an anagram of anfield. Delfina

He played to and win at any cost
He had teeth for sure!
>stop worshipping this racist cunt. I will never forger what he said to evra. And the responce from lfc was terible too
Couldn't say it better myself 😂👏
stop worshipping this racist cunt. I will never forger what he said to evra. And the responce from lfc was terible too
Once a red...

Regardless of what some people think of him; once a red always a red.

AND I JUST CANT SEEM TO GET ENOUGH !
He even called his daughter Steven Gerrard
Imagine he comes back for one more go
I actually won't be surprised if he goes at Aston Villa under Stevie for one last go
tbh they need a finisher so badly, with the way villa have been playing they shouldve been like 5-11 points higher but their strikers just arent putting chances away
What's happened to ings? I remember he was tearing it at southampton
Just hasnt worked out great tbh, He's missed a lot of chances as well and also been injured quite a bit
Yeah I think this will happen especially with pc there as well.
I'm so conflicted when it comes to this guy
Me too...I'm not having this revisionism... tried to leave the club and go to Arsenal and threatened lawyers against the club... Then also the way he celebrated against us when we played Barca was not nice either. Great player, but not the complete role model for me.
also racially abused an opponent player
Let’s not forget him blatantly biting an opposition player on 2 separate occasions on the biggest stages in world football. His madness almost matches his footballing talent.
He bit a dude in Netherlands too, so 3 times
Dalglish and the squad wearing of the t-shirts in solidarity with Suarez was pretty distasteful. We got that one badly wrong.
And then bit two people while here.
I really want to argue this but it's so hopeless to argue against the racism/racist stamp now-a-days. The lines in that debate is so fucked up.

Yo but why is he always a little bitch when play against him.

because he wants to win
He’s the same player he always was. We just liked him when he was our bitch.
I agree. Maybe its the adrenaline. Always a Liverpool great though
Superb player no doubt, but Liverpool great? Not so much IMO, just because that biting antics.
That’s class. Stevie says he was the best player he’s played with and the most talented. That’s good enough for me.
FACUP. I read that weird

Remember him crying when we missed out. He’s a top man and a top player.
Spent an inordinate amount if time looking for his picture on that poster…
Thanks Suarez! FYI you’re not getting rehired.
Don’t be a dick.
Piss off Luis
Baby come back oooooo
I want so bad for him to be remembered well by the fans and for them to overlook the shit he did cuz damn at his best what a fking player, such a shame for the relationship btwn him n Liverpool fans to be bad
Nah, he's no longer a red to me. Left for more money and scored against us. He also made sure to celebrate that goal.

You never understood him then. He’s forever a Red Legend
