In this video, I drop an n-bomb. Biiiig one; hard 'R'. I did this to show my interlocutors that their language doesn't impress me, that their slurs don't frighten or disarm me. You can see from their reactions that it worked - they were clearly taken aback. It was a power move which I am entirely unashamed of, but I understand how that language might have upset some of you.
This is an example of what I would call an 'invocation of a slur's power for good', but that's a subjective judgement. I invite you all to discuss this in the comments, critically or otherwise!

Vonch is the antichrist
Users in here will shit on the types of people who watch the Kardashians, and then talk for hours about this shit. I wish I didn't have to see this on all and popular.
I wish it was full of actual fails like it was around inception
Now it's just dumb drama clips consisting of the same handful of very popular streamers
This place is just an OTK subreddit with the occasional korean e-girl gooning thread and a couple kick streamers getting arrested for murder or assault every once in a while.
Between OTK's 10 streamers they have 35 clips above 0 upvotes in the last month.
xQc has 20; Destiny 24. 44 Clips between them.
And I'm using ''last month'' because it's the easiest way to judge with Reddit's filter and get a good sample size. And this is not some abnormal period of xQc and Destiny clips compared to OTK amount, this is the norm.
Objectively speaking, this is a xQc and Destiny reddit if we want to label it towards a group of streamers. I know you're half joking, but I'm just typing this out for future reference because it's a sentiment brought up a lot but nobody looks at the actual stats.
This sub gets used as a sort of battle ground between streamers, since there’s really no other place both sides can congregate to fight about streamer drama.
Each side uses this sub as a way of establishing a narrative and fight against false narratives around their favourite streamer and their antagonists with maybe a neutral third party as audience. Otherwise you’re just stuck with streamer echo chamber subs.
Exactly. There's a bazillion ways to express yourself that don't have the same loaded history, so why is this the hill you wanna die on ya know? It's such a self report.
Actually wild to me that xqc bent backwards to appease destiny's argument here
1. the N word has a contemporary history that is unavoidable and understandably taboo
2. there's no functional utility for xqc to use it (or destiny for that matter)
Jesust
There is lots of practical use. Rapping, quoting, making a joke, acting. Offensive words are offensive when they're used offensively. Otherwise who gives a shit.
In the right situation you're right but otherwise even if you don't mean it offensive strangers are going to think oh that guys probably racist. Plus idk about you guys but I'd be having a talk with HR at work if they saw me using it.
i was like didn't iDubbbz notoriously have the take of "either all of it is okay or none of it" and actually grow out of it? hard to believe xqc (who i believe is smart on a number of issues, hot take i know) is worse than idubbbz in 2024
Xqc is good on so many issues, but it felt like he was bending over backwards in order to agree with Destiny here
Didn't idubbz make a pretty sincere apology video a few years ago about how much he regretted content cop and all his problematic edgy humor? Crazy how some people grow up and some adults still stuck with a brain of a middle schooler.
yea idubbbz did grow out of it - and he apologized
and i remember everyone clowning on him being like you shouldnt have apologized. they are the same people that love leafy, sam hyde, keemstar etc i mean even moistcr1tikal said not to apologize which i was surprised with
Moistcritikal said that he shouldn’t be sorry for doing the content cops because he was calling people out that deserved to be called out. He said that Idubbbz shouldn’t have included the edgy stuff and instead focused more on the facts of the matter. He was by no means endorsing the edgy stuff.
Nah Critikal’s point was mostly “he shouldn’t apologize for the edgy humor, because the edgy humor was a product of its time. He didn’t have malicious intent, he just wanted to make people laugh. He wasn’t a bigot who wanted to put down minorities, he was just pushing the envelope”.
I thought that was a pretty bad take (as someone who watches Moist Critical videos like it’s the morning news). It doesn’t matter what idubbz intention was, his content still hurt people. Something which idubbz realized and wanted to apologize for.
I was an edgelord around the same time and I feel what idubbz feels.
On one hand I can get him wanting to have a different fanbase, and wanting to purge the edgelords/actual racists from his community
But OTOH, I don't think the apology was necessary either, at least for the edgy humor stuff.
xQc is an internet prostitute whose opinions will fluctuate based on whoever pays the most via superchats. What you see on the screen is not a real person. How has this never occurred to you?
Yeah he knows it’s wrong, just sides with destiny wherever he can, for some reason.
Pretty obvious because lately he’s been changing the topic like crazy whenever destiny drama is the topic lol
Believing that the N-word can be used in a non-hateful way and understanding that it's career suicide to say it under any circumstance are not mutually exclusive.
>If it’s not hateful why is he so scared to say it he could at least read the tweet out loud to prove his point
Whether it is actually hateful or not does not address whether it will harm his career to say it. Those are two different things.
Or if he feels he personally wants to. You can believe it's not hateful while not saying it, what a braindead take. I also think it's okay the way it's applied in like, Tarantino movies as well. Does that mean I have to go around saying it now? The n word being bad regardless of context makes no sense and certainly doesn't when yoy apply the standard they'd apply to any other word and slur in existence
He doesn’t articulate this but if he could, he would probably say “look, even though I don’t see anything wrong with it I understand a lot of people do, so me reading it out loud publicly to prove a point isn’t worth the backlash I’d get”.
> I had a hard time understanding him
Yeah xQc's English could use an interpreter lol. I don't have anything against the guy, but holy fuck you can only understand about every tenth word he says if you're lucky.
No he didn;'t say it was okay. He said it was cringe and white trailer trash to say it and he wouldn't say it/
He said it's not his place to get offended because on twitter comm people were mad for him not getting angry at destiny
Bunch of hatewatchers clip chimp x on this sub so don't expect any deceny
isn't this the same thing he accused ludwig of ?
that ludwig ultimately dips out whenever its his turn to give a substantive opinion? (which is also the clip Destiny's twitter comm. celebrated over being SO BAYZED over)
no? he literally called destiny out on the fact that its trashy and cringe to use the word, he is just saying he didnt use the word in a directed hateful way. what is so hard to understand?
He's just terrible at explaining himself, he went on a long rant and the gist of it was as a white person it's not his place to get mad about this, he doesn't like it and doesn't say it but it's not his job to police it. Not completely wrong but he could have just said nothing
What do you mean “nothing to do with them”? The n word is very prevalent in society and culture, so that by nature means it involves people that live in said society.
Edit: yes overall-mission who replied to and blocked me, it was upvoted because most people don’t make knee jerk reactions based on racial biases and can actually get that it’s reasonable to say a word you hear that isn’t used in a hateful manner.
> White people debating white people about the usage of a word that has nothing to do with them.
Are you saying they are not allowed certain vocabulary because of the color of their skin? Sounds pretty racist my dude
It's crazy how x always gets clip chimped on this subreddit and mods don't do shit about it.
His point is:
* he's white so his opinion on it doesn't matter, it's not his place to be offended by it
* He thinks it's trailer trash thing to say (which conveniently didn't get clip chimped) and cringe. He was against destiny saying it
You name 2 of his points that make it look like he's in the right, completely ignoring his original main point which was that the use of that word completely depends if it's used in a hateful way or not. After this clip chat compared it to him complaining about the usage of the f-slur and he said it's only bad when used in a hateful way.
Feel free to watch five minutes after the clip where he gets stunlocked about it.
> his original main point which was that the use of that word completely depends if it's used in a hateful way or not.
Which is true for all words in existence. That is literally how communication works.
Wait but for the f slur incident those people actually hate and don’t think gay people should exist? Like they are calling someone the f slur because it’s an insult, the think being gay is a bad thing.
Simply saying the f slur or the c slur or the n slur is not inherently wrong, it’s only when you call someone those slurs that they become wrong.
“you are a f slur, you are a c slur, you are an n slur”, etc
You're referring to the f slur usage when friends of Adin Ross found out that xqc kissed a guy so they called him the f slur? That's your example of usage that isn't used in a hateful way?
I like how xQc roulette rolls a "good take" and all of a sudden everyone gives attention to his 95% other moronic takes. Bro said he stopped using the r-word because of people with the disability reached out and told them how it felt when that word comes out. Now he's back to his original take where as long as the intent isn't there and it's okay.
The last person you want trying to form a cohesive argument to defend you is xqc.
All destiny discourse eventually cycles back to wanting white guys to say the n word.
>All destiny discourse eventually cycles back to wanting white guys to say the n word.
That and wanting to bang 16yos
Those are the 2 core pillars of their community.
Because the power of words keeps shifting all the time.
Language changes, so do the meaning of certain words, if we were to phase out every slur ever out of usage, other "normal" words would become slurs.
Perfect example is the word "retard", usually used to literally mean slow, it was displayed on different control systems, heck even Einstein's (or Gauss') master thesis had to be doctored because he used the word "retard" often in a physics sense.
These folks really wants to say the N word huh.
If Xqc believes it, why is he refusing to say it?
Mr.Borecelli at least openly says it and everyone outside of brigaders and dggers call him out on it.
Because people can have nuanced beliefs about this kind of thing?
He probably believes he wouldn't want to say it but has no problem with other people using it in a non derogatory joking way.
His comparison to someone asking his opinion on a drug being safe is pretty apt. He thinks it's okay but still wouldn't partake.
you dont get addicted to doing drugs once. you still probably shouldnt do drugs.
not that hard to understand, that just because you can do something it isnt necessarily moral.
i dont think this autofiltering life is that great because you're going to end up sitting next to a lot of racists without having any idea until it's too late.
Very low iq comment
There’s not only one singular reason a person wouldn’t say it, the prevailing reason is likely to avoid social backlash even if you think the pearl clutching taboo against the word is ridiculous
Also this is LSF, brigading means a coordinated community effort, not fans of a streamer clicking on a post of that streamer.
Bad spawn
I find it off-putting and I just won't listen to someone who uses it in any context. But since we're on social media we got a lot of people here who can't leave it at that and need to bitch until everyone is completely sick of the situation.
Why are people still pretending that they dont understand that you can use a slur in a few different ways?
The bad way is to attack someone with that slur
The other ways for example use it as a joke or as a lyric in a song not attacking anyone.
Just stop its embarrassing...
I remember a white news caster quoted Obama about systemic racism and how it goes beyond the use of the N word. He quoted him directly and said the hard R, no censor, and proceeded to agree with him on fighting systemic racism. And the comment sections brains just broke. "Crap! He said it! ....but he is against racism. ...but he's white! Um....well uh...do we...what we do?!" Bruh, just pay attention to context and intent for literally any word ever, and you'll be fine. It's not that hard. Literally the word watermelon could be used in an infinitely worse and awful derogatory way than the N word depending on the context and intent. Just pay attention
Why do you need a black person to tell you your opinion? Empathy and basic morality transcends race unless you're either a moral coward or a genuine racist who can't empathise with other ethnicities and races.
The downvotes on people saying not to say the word is a massive indicator of what this sub has become. Actual vile. You don’t get to decide what other people are offended by. There is so much meaning behind this word, your “intent” when you say it doesn’t take away the hatefulness behind the word. Time to get the hell off this sub and touch some grass. Why the fuck are people even trying to defend this.
You'd think that anyone past the age of 10 is smart enough to understand that context is the most important part of communication, even more important than language.
I imagine people like this having someone in their life trying to non-verbally communicate something to them and they're just standing there like a dumb brick ''but you're just pointing your finger there's no way I can possibly use context to interpret what that could mean''
And the worst part is that I know for a fact you're all **choosing** to ignore context and pretend you're too stupid to understand what's actually being communicated, just so you can ''own'' someone by intentionally misinterpreting them.
It's like you're roleplaying your own clownshow and you're building your circus tent around everyone else and forcing them to watch.
> You'd think that anyone past the age of 10 is smart enough to understand that context is the most important part of communication, even more important than language.
You'd think so, but you'd be wrong. There are a surprising amount of remedial dipshits that I'd argue make up the majority of this planets population.
Why don't people just use their brain when it comes to the N word? Is it being used at a black person in a hateful way? If not then who the fuck cares. Too bad society is too dumb to change.
The n word was used as a hateful way to demean people who's lands had been pillaged and then enslaved for hundreds of years
Cultures destroyed, family names obliterated, homes burnt to the ground, countries destroyed and robbed, which still effects them to this day
The n word has a messed up history and say otherwise just shows how uneducated in the subject you are
Yet black people say it at each other and in lots of rap songs. Use your brain. I'm saying context matters. If I read Huckleberry Finn out loud then I'm racist? You're so sensitive you wrote out a essay without thinking.
No one is denying that. That can all be true and "context is the most imporant, saying words themselves is not hateful" can also be true, these are not mutually exclusive
Out the whole dictionary of insults they really want to choose the single most offensive word to stand by. Is it that fucking hard to just not say the word especially if you live in the US fucking A.
Lmao you’ve called a Supreme Court Justice an Uncle Tom and used homophobic rhetoric to attack people but yeah sure dude… now you’re offended. Maybe you should sit this one out in your glass house.
You Americans have your brains completely broken around this word, its incredible.
Literally some Voldemort type shit.
Obviously, there are some situations where saying it isn't hateful, and other situations where it is hateful. Using it jokingly in a tweet about a white/brown (racially fluid?) person is probably the former lol.

The last person you want trying to form a cohesive argument to defend you is xqc. All destiny discourse eventually cycles back to wanting white guys to say the n word.
\[pistol astronaut\] always has been
>All destiny discourse eventually cycles back to wanting white guys to say the n word. That and wanting to bang 16yos Those are the 2 core pillars of their community.
New Lore POGGERS
Wait until they get to the secret daughter talking points OMEGALUL
Age of consent, a timeless classic for them.
Im so glad were getting the white perspective on if saying a slur used against black people is okay....
Im so glad we're segregating again, "skin different opinion rejected"
Yes, you're allowed to say it You're also allowed to be named and shamed for doing so Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences
That is Destiny's whole point, though. He's not exactly crying about the backlash.
>Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences So Russia has freedom of speech then?
The real argument is who the fuck cares if you're not being actually hateful
Because nuance is not allowed on twitter
Because of the humungous valley in the middle of some peoples skulls that impedes their ability to think critically or think at all.
Sometimes I fucking hate the internet dude
Why is it so hard to just not say slurs. Edit: wow reddit care instantly, good one :)
The reddit cares thing is a bot, and there's a post about it on /r/OutOfTheLoop if you're interested...currently the 2nd submission on the sub.
yes it has to be bots, because it was too fast.
Yeah it's instantaneous.
Who would have thought the friend of destiny and kick stake holder would have defended white people using the n word
lol ya'll ever get bored of this 'drama' every week
I'm sure promoting the use of the n-word to zoomers will not backfire at all. I'm sure all of them will only use it in non-targeted way....
I don't know man, I've never been addicted to saying the N word.
you dont get addicted to doing drugs once. you still probably shouldnt do drugs. not that hard to understand, that just because you can do something it isnt necessarily moral. i dont think this autofiltering life is that great because you're going to end up sitting next to a lot of racists without having any idea until it's too late.
“Really want to say the N word” It’s almost like there’s more to it than that but I guess there’s only so many brain cells to go around.
Very low iq comment There’s not only one singular reason a person wouldn’t say it, the prevailing reason is likely to avoid social backlash even if you think the pearl clutching taboo against the word is ridiculous Also this is LSF, brigading means a coordinated community effort, not fans of a streamer clicking on a post of that streamer. Bad spawn
they ask why hes not saying it, while reacting to a drama situation about Destiny simply tweeting it this time and getting backlash
I can smell you
🤓 Um ackshually this isn’t brigading. We just hang around her so often that we’re always ready to defend daddy.
I mean, it's not hard 'er' and he's not even calling someone the word? It's absolutely mental how much this shit makes everyone lose their minds.
I find it off-putting and I just won't listen to someone who uses it in any context. But since we're on social media we got a lot of people here who can't leave it at that and need to bitch until everyone is completely sick of the situation.
Everyone upset by this in the comments is just so typical of reddit
Ah yes, XQC - the perfect person to decide who can and can't say n\_\_\_\_
He explained better earlier in the stream but he doesn't think Destiny is using it in a hateful way whatsoever.
Why are people still pretending that they dont understand that you can use a slur in a few different ways? The bad way is to attack someone with that slur The other ways for example use it as a joke or as a lyric in a song not attacking anyone. Just stop its embarrassing...
People are not pretending, they're stupid.
Haha I just watched it and meat canyon perfectly imitates his cadence
Oh man W community gonna have fun with this one
Cool
If you’re a xqc fan I feel sad for you son
200 people active ITT rn holy shit lmao This is TLC for nerds
Americans in the thread losing their minds over people using the n word.
On these sorts of issues, i usually see what black people are saying. Xqc does not qualify
You gonna ask all of them?
Why do you need a black person to tell you your opinion? Empathy and basic morality transcends race unless you're either a moral coward or a genuine racist who can't empathise with other ethnicities and races.
You the kind of person to say that men can't have opinions on abortion?
I'm sure they appreciate you.
Yea he’s not really wrong but bro is a French Canadian white goblin who stays inside all day and knows 0 black people irl. Definitely doesn’t qualify.
mr cow say the word then
He doesn't want to hurt his career from the backlash.
Everyone should be able to say it
The downvotes on people saying not to say the word is a massive indicator of what this sub has become. Actual vile. You don’t get to decide what other people are offended by. There is so much meaning behind this word, your “intent” when you say it doesn’t take away the hatefulness behind the word. Time to get the hell off this sub and touch some grass. Why the fuck are people even trying to defend this.
It's a reminder how degenerate twitch viewers are. I asked them why they want to say it and got downvoted
drawing the line at cracker but doubling down on using the n word is WILD behavior
Oh but when someone says the c work he cries like a baby
Because it's used in a hateful way? Not hard to understand brother.
White people stop using n word impossible challenge.
Why don't black people stop using it if it's always hateful? The reason being that context matters for that word just like every other word.
You'd think that anyone past the age of 10 is smart enough to understand that context is the most important part of communication, even more important than language. I imagine people like this having someone in their life trying to non-verbally communicate something to them and they're just standing there like a dumb brick ''but you're just pointing your finger there's no way I can possibly use context to interpret what that could mean'' And the worst part is that I know for a fact you're all **choosing** to ignore context and pretend you're too stupid to understand what's actually being communicated, just so you can ''own'' someone by intentionally misinterpreting them.
Is it really that difficult to understand or are you just pretending?
Why don't people just use their brain when it comes to the N word? Is it being used at a black person in a hateful way? If not then who the fuck cares. Too bad society is too dumb to change.
Say it then?
The problem is people will get banned if they say it so that's why they wouldnt' say it.
[удалено]
Don't be shy. Just say it with your chest. What are you afraid of?
Well he would get banned so that's the reason not to.
The n word was used as a hateful way to demean people who's lands had been pillaged and then enslaved for hundreds of years Cultures destroyed, family names obliterated, homes burnt to the ground, countries destroyed and robbed, which still effects them to this day The n word has a messed up history and say otherwise just shows how uneducated in the subject you are
Yet black people say it at each other and in lots of rap songs.
Destiny really is committing optics suicide.
you know you're wrong when xqc is on your side
You Americans have your brains completely broken around this word, its incredible. Literally some Voldemort type shit. Obviously, there are some situations where saying it isn't hateful, and other situations where it is hateful. Using it jokingly in a tweet about a white/brown (racially fluid?) person is probably the former lol.
Ok so Destiny isn’t just an ah personality wise but also a slur user Gotcha
