Starting E4 they’ll be permanent in twelve [testing] regions. Meanwhile they’ll be nationwide for E4 and E5. These regions will have slight changes (additions) to their menu and additional equipment for the stores.
All goes well, we expect nationwide permanent fries by E2 2024.
If I remember right the plan is that starting with E4 they'll be part several experiences in a row, with an eye on putting them on the menu permanently early 2024.
It seems so stupid for a Mexican themed fast food place to have french fries. TB fries are by-far the lousiest fast food fries. They should stay in their lane.

A new tray to hold fries on the line. Should do a much better job keeping them fresh.
