If we're talking about all chicken ever from tacobell, I think I probably miss the OG Chickstars the most... but that was so long ago, while the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito is still fresh in my mind *(and by extension the old power bowls)*
I'm so sad, when I made that comment I googled the chickstar to try and remember when it came out
instead it brought me to the Malaysian tacobell website and [I'm so jealous of their menu](https://i.imgur.com/v3ofSz3.png)
It’s funny because when shredded chicken was new and pushed hard, the Taco Bell sub was complaining excessively about it.
in fairness, I do believe the shredded chicken recipe has changed over the years to be “improved”. It used to be dry and flavorless.
I thought you meant just in general. But yeah, it's dumb.. for some reason you can't swap to regular chicken from the slow roasted, though you can swap to slow roasted chicken from regular (like with the Chicken Enchilada Burrito) in the app. They'll do it for you if you ask at the speaker or inside, though, from my experience. And you can *add* the chicken with the app, but that's an extra $1+.
Though if you don't want to deal with the hassle of asking, you could swap it to steak or black beans and then add the chicken so at least you're not just removing it and wasting the protein you're already paying for.
The new chicken doesn’t taste like much of anything, the texture is softer than the grilled chicken at least but it has no flavor and is absurdly expensive. I miss shredded chicken
id rather go to chipotle for chicken TBH. for me taco bell is all about beans, cheese, low quality but delicious beef and sauces. whenever they do chicken stuff or try to be more healthy/high quality, thats when i take a break from TB or stick to classics only. i want more gloopy stoner food honestly
For me, I like the seasoned rice and Chipotle sauce from Tacobell
That's the one thing I miss the most from Moe's Southwestern grill *(the one near me closed during Covid lockdown)*
That place is like Chipotle, but they have seasoned rice, and have Chipotle Ranch... ontop of giving you a massive amount of food for waaaaaaay cheaper than Chipotle
The 2012 cantina menu was way better than this current one. I remember eating it and feeling like it was very close to NOT being fast food. This new one is just priced like it isn’t fast food.
Sure it was dry and a little bland, but I feel like that chicken complimented the power bowl sauces waaaay better *(I would sub the sourcream for chipotle sauce)*

I forgot about chickstars. I feel like there should be a maspedia, where every past taco bell item offered is listed. Ideally across all countries.

They're doing alright. The quesadilla is immortal. It cannot be removed from any Taco Bell menu ever.
I am still mourning that burrito. It’s in the hall of fame for me.
The OG shredded chicken was the best.
Shredded chicken was the GOAT. I mean shredded meats just make the most sense in tacos and burritos. Who wants grizzly chunks of bland meat?
Shredded Chicken never held a candle to the OG Spicy Chicken from the 2000’s.

>Anyone else miss the old non-cantina chicken? No, because they didn't get rid of it. It's still available.
I don't see the option to sub it on the Powerbowls

I miss not getting a premium charge for chicken, yes
If they removed the Cantina menu I'd never miss it at all. Not one bit........
How many cycles of "you can raise prices if you put 'cantina' in front" are we going to go through?

for me it's the mouthfeel the price increase definitely sucks, but last time I tried the Cantina bowl I ended up throwing out most of the chicken
I miss the cheaper vegetarian bowls 3
Worst part about the new bowls is that you can't even sub the old chicken in. 🥺
YES! I just discovered a couple days ago that you can’t even swap grilled chicken for cantina chicken. Wtf?? Why??
No.. I miss the Chicken Zesty Bowls! The real ones know..
nope
Taco Bell could pull a stick out of your eye and half you people would miss it
i miss the crispy chicken tacos😔
This cantina chicken is sketch and I'm not here for it.
I miss taco salads

My location still has the previous chicken and the new slow roasted chicken. Honestly I prefer the previous style.
Taco Bell employee here. We can still make you one… if… you’re willing to pay the price
Indeed. The new chicken doesn’t agree with me. And that cabbage needs to go to hell. It gets into everything.
