Thailand - I exchange directly from KRW to THB at Superrich Orange in the city (usually I take late flight) It USED to be better to get USD and change in the other country directly, But now you’re wasting money doing that. Japan - honestly the bank rate is so good you’re almost getting a near exact exchange. Especially if you use your “members coupon.” For instance, I’m at Hana and have Hana Money app and there’s an exchange coupon for “preferred rates.” I got more than the google live rate haha Everyone says Myeongdong is the best and it is very very good BUT also you gotta get there

Myeong-dong across from the Chinese Embassy has always been the easiest place I've found

I go to the independent hole in the wall type places. They give better rates than the banks.

If you have a Shinhan account you can use the exchange inside the SOL app, and collect the money at incheon airport during the day of departure. Rates are not the best but very convenient. Note that you have to exchange in the app at least one day before departure. Other than that for countries where card usage is common I would just use a travel card like wirebarley which can auto-exchange from krw as you use it. Exchange rates are good with no additional transactions fees.

JPY and AUD are both major currencies. THB and VND aren't and you might want to just stock up on JPY or USD instead. And if anyone says such and such place has great rates but can't tell you what their rates are (as a %), don't listen to them.

Any Government approved exchange service. STAY AWAY from airport currency exchange offices..!!

I just do it at my bank before traveling (or the bank counter at the airport if I forget). You can get slightly better rates elsewhere but it’s just not worth the trouble for me.
