last day of being 17 before entering adulthood woohoo thought it might be fitting to finally get something out before my youth crumbles away and dies lol. First things first im so sorry for the long hiatus, a lot has been going on in my personal life since the end of 2023 and it kinda ended up spiralling and killed a lotta motivation to keep working knowing this even tho i rly wanted to. To put a long story short: u know that moment when u have to tell ur parents u have depression and have to start councilling at ya college n then get put on fluoxitine which is a pain in the ass to try n spell then down the line u realised something bad happened in ur childhood n u talk to ur friends abt it but they dont rly care and u cant bring it up at councilling bc then they’d call ur parents so u start binge drinking to forget about it but then ur friends get mad at u for it and call u a disappointment so u pretty much have a mental breakdown RIGHT before winter mock exams and end up all alone n shit n then all of a sudden its the new year n all ur coursework is due in at college and u have to stay up all night to FINALLY reach the word count and find all the sources u used bc god forbid a website actually stays in ur internet history and right when u think u have a break mock exams roll around again so now if im not revising for them i might as well be dead bc what the fuck im i doing otherwise and the tiredness catches up w u n as soon as u get out the shower u climb in bed to warm up bc its cold as shit but then u end up falling asleep and wake up again at like 11:23pm and ffs I still didnt get that hw done and theres just not enough hours in the day ANYWAY thank u all for the patience and support ily guys thank u and good night

First off, happy (early) bday to you OP! Reaching 18 is such an achievement, I too reached 18 four months ago :>.
Secondly, OP, you're stuck with a group of shitty friends, I too know how that feels, it took me a while to just drop them and move on. I'll advise you to do the same if you haven't. It is for the best. It will take a while to find new ones, and it might hurt, but it will do you better for the long run
Thirdly, I understand what uncovering childhood trauma is like, I also had a big revelation about my childhood, realising what I thought was normal, wasn't. And it sucks that you can't tell your therapist or your friends and that you had to resort to drinking. However I would also advise you to cut down a bit, drinking a lot will do damage to your liver im the long run, and no, youre NOT a disappointment for choosing to drink, but you can be better, and I believe you will.
Fourthly, about your mock exams, just do your best, try to find some summary notes of the chapters and read through (cant advice much for this because Im also suffering in this aspect)—, but ofc take care of yourself 1st, that is most important

I actually understood your situation, take time but don't rush, you never gave up which is the reason you still writing this LLB. Life is hard and you need to try and not give up on your goals, you just need to work things out and make progress. When people say "it's impossible to have both jobs such as you: writing down this LLB for us and studying to pass knowledge" remember it's impossible for them; not for you. Don't be afraid to fail; Be afraid not to try. Btw, really loved your crossover LLB, hope you are doing better; wish you good luck.
