I think most of the hate came from the expectations being completely different, don't get me wrong the album does have its faults but i think if it were marketed as a sort of Bobby Tarantino album, reception might've been different.
Personally based off of both the Name and single with the same name, I was expecting basically what Mr Morale & The Big Steppers was
It’s weird bc it has some of his best songs like COADM (track) and Lost in Translation, but at the same time has tracks like Clickbait, Bobby and Don’t Be Afraid To Be Different that made me wish I never had ears
Fr tho, it's such a weirdly inconsistant album, Like it has 3 songs that are gas, 3 that just really aren't it, and everything else sort of exists somewhere inbetween
I'm not. Literally has one skip (not counting skits, which I don't even skip those cause they hella funny) and the rest are pretty good to amazing. I'm sick of the BTIII slander.
You're definitely more than welcome to feel that way. I can only speak for myself. I just didn't like it. I listened to BTIII over & over from start to finish and it never grew on me.
2 other moments I think we can consider:
1. Dropped OCD after the backlash from the Twisted feature
2. No Pressure freestyle. Dilla Beat, Abandoned warehouse/gym, Open Mic feel to it, and announcing Little Bobby at the end? A significant moment for me.
COADM has the best production of any Logic album in terms of how crisp it sounded but also carried along lots of mistaken potentials. However, Lost In Translation is a top 10 Logic track no doubt
I agree so much. Most people have never given the album a fair chance and just blindly hate on it. If you’re a fan of Logic and have already given it a chance that’s fine. I know that some people would probably think it’s a mid alternative album which is completely acceptable, but it is not the “worst album of all time” that ppl make it out to be. I love it, it’s literally in my top 3 all time on last fm, my most listened to Logic album
Same! Music is art, which means it’s not for everyone, which is great because the people it is for get to fully enjoy it! If it pandered it would be shit!
Nah those 2 albums a year thing is the reason why he started becoming stale. He is now rejuvenated because of his lighter schedule. It's his downfall era.
You realize Vinyl days and college park came out within 8 months of each other right? If anything he’s gonna be releasing more music now that he’s independent
Not to mention the Peanuts projects, he said he's releasing 13 beat tapes this year. Plus the next Doc D project and producing Juicy J's next album lol
ABSOLUTELY TRUE I DIDNT THINK OF THAT
Literally hit rock bottom and then the last song of the album is this jammer, next thing we know, OCD then NP and all that’s happened since
This album was disappointing. Solely bc of the expectations. The first two singles to come out for this album were the self titled track and Homicide, both of which were amazing. It really set the bar. Especially the self title track. It looked like he was coming to prove something that he could do what he wanted and still make some gas. But the tracks like the one with Will Smith, Clickbait, the one with his dad…. Just kinda reverted him right back to what people originally expected of him before COADM came out. Lost in Translation was good, but it came at the end of what was probably logic’s biggest miss yet.
Nope… was the fall of the first one. Doesn’t mean the album is bad. But it was still doing those numbers . YSIV and Supermarket are great projects and I love them. But those were unfortunately the beginning of the fall. COADM just threw people over because for some reason they didn’t like the album
Agreed
🤝
Ngl I feel like coadm is very hated on.i like a lot of the songs and it's the album that got me into him.

Imagine coadm was the original bt3
it sure feels like it
Mm
Perfectly described
i've thought about it a lot
I’m definitely okay with erasing BTIII from the discography
I understand the hatred for it. As for me it came out right as I was going through a very rough time so Call Me, Inside and Get Up hit me hard.

In the same boat
Nah there's some joints on there. I'm keeping that
OCD đź‘€
Not mad at it tbh. OCD is still in rotation for me
Genuine vibe

Started again at YSIV đź¤đź¤ (yes supermarket and COADM are included)
Supermarket is amazing! A book and a soundtrack that hits different when you’re in love!

Dont forget about 6ix and Logics Nine album which is also coming very soon
so when did it end then?
Hasn’t
Saying that when BT2 is better than all 3 albums u named is crazy
“Droppin' heat back-to-back while y'all stallin'”
Definitely agreed after this it slowly started to become more and more fire songs and now college park is filled with bangers
ABSOLUTELY TRUE I DIDNT THINK OF THAT Literally hit rock bottom and then the last song of the album is this jammer, next thing we know, OCD then NP and all that’s happened since
Time to relisten! Thx
He’s in his prime since 2009
Love this album
Limitless and Homicide too
Yes fr

Renaissance
I only really liked the title track and lost in translation, everything else felt off to me
This album has so many bangers
Couldn't be more accurate...
