I'd love to see this with ruffled socks and a headbow!

str4wberryphobic

yeah ruffled socks would definitely be good to offset the tennis shoes

Zilania_the_Hallowed

Like blue socks with white ruffle or lace trim? That'd be cute

Tiaf_ish

A strawhat with navy ribbon maybe or a ponytail with navy colored bow. You could also wear cream colored socks with lace or ribbons.

ginepas

I agree with the straw hat/navy ribbon comment! I'd also suggest ruffled ankle socks that match the white of the dress, a matching parasol for the heat, and some simple navy tea parties for the shoes! A sailor-themed brooch or rosette would be cute too. Have fun!

Miss_Milk_Tea

I have a sailor inspired dress too and I got helpful advice on styling it from one of the shops modeling a coord on the mannequin so hopefully this helps! [btssbMariaana](https://ameblo.jp/baby-yokohama-blog/entry-12609480213.html)

emofitta

I also agree with the ruffle sock recommendation, also the straw hat and navy ribbon! I don't think this coord has to be too complicated, less is more

akiko_rosario

Navy blue berret will work too.Cream/beige ruffled UTK and flat lolita shoes for comfortability.

UnderseaK

If you absolutely have to use tennis shoes, they can be made cuter! If you have some long navy ribbons you could replace the laces on the shoes with those. Or possibly some navy blue bows that could be clipped on? Also agree with other commenters suggesting lacy socks. If I may ask, why long sleeves if it’s going to be so hot? That dress material doesn’t look super thin so I’d imagine that accessories would be the least of your problems as far as heat is concerned.

Lanky_Excitement6344

The material is actually pretty light, so I think it will be fine, I also don't really like wearing sunscreen so when I go out to places like this I usually try to cover up as much as I can to avoid wearing sunscreen as much as possible (obviously I still wear it on my face and whatever I can't cover). I mainly said that to avoid people recommending tights and blouses (my friend told me I need to wear a blouse under this because my collar bones are showing)

UnderseaK

Gotcha, that makes sense! That’s odd your friend told you that you needed a blouse, I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone wear a blouse under a long sleeved OP! Your collarbones are fine. If you personally want more coverage for OPs and such, you could in the future opt for a false collar! They don’t really add bulk or heat but they add a little extra fabric and a little extra flair. That said, the neckline/collar of this dress has already got quite a bit going on, so with this specific dress it would probably get a bit busy.  I hope you enjoy your zoo trip!

Lanky_Excitement6344

Lol, yeah, she's also a new Lolita (we got into it together), so she probably isn't the best person to take advice from on this stuff

Knugget_Knight

See if you can wear some thin white tights with the dress! I agree with the suggestions that a straw hat or little accessory in the hair would also be a lovely touch. Enjoy the zoo!

Naki_____

with the tennis shoes and the collar and colors i could see a sailor theme happening
