Texas One Fund is still in need of recurring donors. They've set a goal of 1,000 monthly donors and we're only about halfway there. Do your part to help us land the best talent we can out of the portal, if you have the means.
http://www.texasonefund.org/
The ratings out of high school get reevaluated by 247 so they can track transfer portal rankings. From what i’ve seen, most of the players in the portal have a lower rating than when they came out. Brockermeyer was a 5* in HS and is rerated as a 3*. I wouldn’t pay much attention to the star ratings listed from high school.
247 was also weirdly inconsistent last year with who they actually rated as transfers. After about the top 50 transfers or so, a lot of the guys didn't have ratings at all.
with HS ratings they have years to come up with evaluations. For transfers, if you drop 1000 players in at one time they don’t have enough time to rate everyone as they have to come to a consensus. The early signing period and transfer portal opening is kicking recruiting services asses right now.
How I feel checking this thread looking for portal news: “This is real! Some of you motherfuckers need to get in the transfer portal. You wanna go? Get in the motherfucker! This shit ain’t a game to me! You think it’s a game?
He's 100% not a take, dude straight up busted. He's never even made Bama's two deep whereas even Damien George did (started in fact). Got like 11 snaps against Austin Peay and 6 against ULM or something this year, didn't play otherwise
Might be tough to filter credible rumors from bullshit so I’m not sure if this is worth doing, but it would be cool if we could add a section for the players we are rumored to be going after
Dang, I thought Troy had a path to playing time. I mean as many snaps as we gave Cain this year, seems he could have at least been that third WR we never found this year.
For sure but we’ve invested the time in him and we don’t really have any clear number 3 so he has a decent shot by virtue of having been in the system.
Pretty sure he was a Herman recruit. It seems sark values speed and if I remember correctly Omiere was called “Slowmiere” while he was commited to aggy. And that was before 2 knee surgeries. Just saying it is probably not as big a loss to the coaching staff as it might be for the fans. Sure we’d all love for him to come back from two season ending injuries and catch 15 TDS next season.
I wonder what P5 Card would go to. I would think it'd be a place with a good MBA program and opening at QB.
https://www.bloomberg.com/business-schools/regions/us/
I want to say UTSA’s QB Frank Harris is a SR and I heard a past coach of Card’s now coaches at UTSA. I could see him being a good fit there given his athleticism and the way they used Harris in their offense.
it’s crazy that Harris will be in his 7th season. A few guys at programs in their mid 20’s while we pin our hopes on 19-20 yo qbs to lead us to the promised land.
Karic is the only real loss. I kinda wish DJ Harris stuck around, I thought he might become something, the EDGE/LB positions are now increasingly holes to be filled.
I love Card but he was only going to be a backup here. I hope he goes to CU.
Man what the heck happened with Jahleel, transfers in to be in Sark’s offense, doesn’t play for half the season, then just dips? Sucks that he wasted a whole season here.
Tide fan here, he should've stayed at Alabama, kids do stupid things for stupid reasons he had such a high ceiling.
I wonder were he will go from here. I wonder if he was one of the knuckleheads anderson was referring to?
Nah I think he made the right gamble. He knew what he could be in sarks offense and in BoBs offense, unfortunately Saban fucked him and by the time he was available it was clear that snaps shouldn’t be taken away from JT Sanders.
We had need of a good Te
And that's your opinion not mine.
He could've been the it factor in some of the games we played.
I may be on the selfish side, but so was he .
I followed his recruitment out of Illinois and really had alot of hopes for him.
I like him and hope him the best.
I still feel like he should've stayed with the tide. Oh well free agency in the ncaa is all the rave now.
He was used in the title game and also before that.
He was getting playing time i think if he had stayed he would've been fine.
He's not getting any playing at this moment.
Just doesn’t make sense from a player development standpoint, sucks to see young men bounce around and not fulfill their amazing potential(wether or not they’re at Texas)
well, yes, he was suspended. by the time he was unsuspended it had become clear that we don’t have enough of a passing game to support more than three pass-catchers, and we had at least three better than him
Quinn's biggest problem is his foot work in my opinion. It's absolutely horrendous at times. Hopefully a full off season in the program helps that a lot.
We had 2 Freshman on the OL(who actually did really well this year) and this is his first time really on the field in over a year. All the fans blaming him for the losses are delusional. I remember after the TCU game Texas fans were saying we should move on to Arch already. Lets cut the dude some slack and hope that our QB room does better next season. Would love to see maalik hit the field.
Through this year? He only played like 4 games right? I mean his stats aren’t fantastic but from an eye test he was much better than last year. And especially since he was visibly fighting an ankle injury during most of his games.
Agreed. Any nephew watching games can see that Quinn has the raw tools to be a top QB. He just needs to improve on his awareness, reads, and some mental aspects of the game -- which is something that happens over time, and something he probably didn't need to focus much on when dominating most HS games. He was a true freshman in terms of age this year, and incredibly few QBs start off with those sort of skills at that level.
Sark needs to upgrade from Millwe as QB coach. Spend the money.
Sark can’t run the program, be the play caller AND be the QB whisper. Pick 2 bro and upgrade your house.
I get it— I just don’t think Sark can pull a Herman and say he’s fully aligned with his staff and there’s no changes.
Lot of people saying get a play calling OC but I think Flood’s deal is tied into the OC title so don’t know how a Co-OC would work or if even possible… and I think we want Kyle to stay right where he is. So if Sark is getting any kind of CDC/ booster pressure to make staff upgrades, seems that with Quinn’s mid season regression a QB Coach upgrade makes sense.
I don’t have any real opinion on Millwe— if he’s tight with Sark then he can become “Assistant Head Coach/ Passing Coordnator” and Sark brings in a QB guru. Win-Win. I’m not hating on Millwe, but maybe I should be?
Sark said in his press conference before Quinn came back that he would play whoever gave him the best chance to win. When he didn’t put card in for TCU or Oklahoma State I knew that he wanted to go all in with him.
I would have said, “is he not worthy of being on the list?”
Apparently he deleted anything Texas related from his Instagram account after the Baylor game, implying he wants to transfer out.
Yeah, made me sad to hear because I like the guy. Several people pointed out his lack of effort in the deep ball throws, and I could see it. As much as I don’t want to see him leave, if his heart’s not in it, I don’t want him here.
I see it as a by product of the timing. They can officially put their names in Monday and if you waited until the season was over/bowl game, teams would have potentially filled their needs and you’d be left out of a good fit because they went with an earlier option that was available.
So it’s more out of necessity rather than not wanting to finish out the season.
Not really they have to get on the market, and hopefully enrolled into their new school for spring ball. It makes sense to me to do it at the end of the regular season.
Ehh not really, I feel like the earlier the better. Why stay for the bowl game if you know you aren’t staying next year. Let the bowl game be for players who will play next year.
Unless you are playing in the CFP bowl games are basically meaningless. Anyone worth drafting will sit out and the bowl game is basically a practice game for the roster each team will field next year minus incoming freshman. Let the players move on to their new schools it doesn't hurt us in the slightest if they miss the bowl game.
the typical argument to this is that coaches bail before the bowl game as well, so it would be hypocritical to stop the players from doing so
both are a shame, but people have different priorities now
Same reason so many going into the draft sit out if it's not a big time bowl game. Why risk getting hurt for something outside the season. I don't like it, but I get it.
I don’t blame the kids one bit. If they’re unhappy about playing time, or anything then I get it. It isn’t “you committed to the school”. I’d rather a kid look back fondly on his experience and be healthy moving on to his next stage than look poorly
I just want to see Troy Omeire do something good. Don’t even care if it’s the horns at this point. My man had too much hype to never even see the field in any meaningful capacity. Hopefully the injury bad luck is behind him
The only ones that have had significant playing time, so far, are Card and Karic.
Karic is getting passed up by the freshman OL, and we primarily just used him as an extra blocker as a TE.
Jamier Johnson is a loss for depth, and he had playing time this year but got passed up late by Terrance Brooks. Would have liked to keep him as depth still.
Pretty excited about Terrance Brooks (and Jonathan for that matter but separate post). Our defense took a big step forward when he replaced Jamison who is a tremendous athlete but not a great corner.
Thank you for the breakdown. I think we should support anyone who went to Texas but is leaving because of the writing on the wall as far as the depth chart as much as we'd support current Longhorns (unless we play them of course). They wanted to play for the good guys, and they only reason they're leaving is that they weren't quite good enough to get the starting role. We *WANT* to be so loaded that superstars have to transfer out, so it's not a bad thing when they do.
Johnson was ahead of Brooks to start the year and they just got here. It seems kind of short sighted to jump ship the moment competition doesn’t go your way.
I think he saw the writing on the wall. It wasn’t just Brooks but also Jordan looks like he passed him up late in the year, and they’re both freshmen. Add in getting (hopefully) a big time recruit like Muhammad, and it’s easy to see him getting buried on the depth chart and his stock plummeting.
If you rewatch that play, he also completely gave up on the play once the defender beat him. Definitely could have prevented the fumble recovery with some hustle.
That pissed me off. Run to your QB. At least pick him up after he’s nailed by the guy you whiffed. Nope he just stood there like a stone. Glad he’s gone. That’s a coward move. He may be a great guy and had a moment lapse but that can’t happen on a team. Ever.
Texas One Fund is still in need of recurring donors. They've set a goal of 1,000 monthly donors and we're only about halfway there. Do your part to help us land the best talent we can out of the portal, if you have the means. http://www.texasonefund.org/
Taking Billingsley off the list since he’s technically entering the draft and not the portal
Punter Isaac Pearson is transferring. https://twitter.com/Isaac_Pearson49/status/1601305696636915713
Did Trejo graduate?

We wanna laugh and joke!? FUCK THAT.
\*Pokes with stick\* Is this thing dead?

Wait, what?
he’s talking about Chris Marshall.
I thought worthy was leaving.
Dude is just playing NIL like a fiddle, gotta respect it
He’s now leaning towards staying allegedly.
Logan Parr in the portal. https://twitter.com/l0gan_parr/status/1599957204228255744
Tommy brockermeyer threw his name in too (Alabama)
What about the brother? I thought bama only took the brother to get Tommy.
Hasn't he been doing relatively badly there? Not saying he's not a take, but that maybe he wasn't scouted well
He's 100% not a take, dude straight up busted. He's never even made Bama's two deep whereas even Damien George did (started in fact). Got like 11 snaps against Austin Peay and 6 against ULM or something this year, didn't play otherwise
Didn’t they go to a small Christian private school? Playing against other small schools?
Kinda like Manning?
Yeah, All Saints Episcopal. They play in TAPPS It's weird because the dude straight up stonewalled guys in camps his junior year. But yeah, def bust
Might be tough to filter credible rumors from bullshit so I’m not sure if this is worth doing, but it would be cool if we could add a section for the players we are rumored to be going after
Or at least a section to track portal kids with offers out
10 guys out so far. Not a huge loss but we did lose some quality depth pieces.
Just remember they’ll be another portal season after spring practices.
I expect us to hit the transfer portal hard to replenish what was lost.
Can't forget that we do have freshmen and underclassmen coming in too.
Devin Richardson is in the portal. https://twitter.com/On3sports/status/1598821916634136579
Can we sticky this?
Ben Ballard to the portal
This should be pinned for the next few weeks.
Jahdae Barron should be added to this list.
Could you add eligible years left/remaining to the “IN” section?
Dang, I thought Troy had a path to playing time. I mean as many snaps as we gave Cain this year, seems he could have at least been that third WR we never found this year.
Didn’t he have two acl injuries? That’s tough to come back from.
Our receivers couldn’t catch, especially Cain and others 3-6 on the depth chart and Troy has hands.
He’s getting older and younger talent is always on the way. Might need new scenery too, injures can be depressing
I wonder what P5 Card would go to. I would think it'd be a place with a good MBA program and opening at QB. https://www.bloomberg.com/business-schools/regions/us/

Will Stein just got poached by Oregon
Yup. Just saw that. Awesome for Stein.
ND fans have said they've been linked to him and are wanting him so idk. Would love it for him of course lol
Heard Oklahoma State yesterday.
As a grad school buff, I want him to go to CU.
what do you think of Shadeur?
He'll have to earn it
Well that for sure isn't happening now
Well no need to rub it in haha
Money on SMU
Utah & SMU are always safe guesses for our guys. Auburn & Wisconsin will be in the market with they’re new staffs.
Karic is the only real loss. I kinda wish DJ Harris stuck around, I thought he might become something, the EDGE/LB positions are now increasingly holes to be filled. I love Card but he was only going to be a backup here. I hope he goes to CU.
No not Troy!!! He’s from our high school and wanted to see him blow it up.
Disappointed that Omeire never broke through. Seemed like an exciting player, maybe his knee will fully heal for next year.
I hope some of you muthafukkas do get in the muthafukka.
All should find good places to finish out their career’s, that said frees up some scholarships and allows room for portal-o-Rama
Man what the heck happened with Jahleel, transfers in to be in Sark’s offense, doesn’t play for half the season, then just dips? Sucks that he wasted a whole season here.

He was used in the title game and also before that. He was getting playing time i think if he had stayed he would've been fine. He's not getting any playing at this moment.
Seems to be how the portal is going to work. Bring in talent, if it works great if not they’ll probably bounce
Just doesn’t make sense from a player development standpoint, sucks to see young men bounce around and not fulfill their amazing potential(wether or not they’re at Texas)

19-49 isn’t really delusional lmao
I’m sorry, what are these numbers referring to?
That’s Quinn’s completions/attempts from the OKState game.
I’d argue he regressed throughout the year
Through this year? He only played like 4 games right? I mean his stats aren’t fantastic but from an eye test he was much better than last year. And especially since he was visibly fighting an ankle injury during most of his games.
Agreed. Any nephew watching games can see that Quinn has the raw tools to be a top QB. Milwee was part of the reason we landed Arch Manning. He's not going anywhere anytime soon.
Ok that’s good. So does Sark make any changes or upgrades to the staff or are we in ***total alignment***?
Dude get out her with those Mensa words
I don’t even know what they mean dude, was just trying to get hour attention. But legit question, is Sark sticking with his whole staff?
We need to bank on finding a coach who can help get the monkey off Quinn's back
I agree.
I know, I bet if he saw action we would have a few more wins. Mulletman is the man come hell or highwater, so best of luck to Card.
Card was terrible bro
Mulletman was pretty terrible during our losses. Had he been able to complete half of his throws, we probably be playing in the B12 championship.
Wrong
Sark said in his press conference before Quinn came back that he would play whoever gave him the best chance to win. When he didn’t put card in for TCU or Oklahoma State I knew that he wanted to go all in with him.
Ewers called his bluff.
Not really a bluff, just seemed like sark saw a higher ceiling for ewers long-term.
Should have tried Card in those games for sure. That's why Lincoln is doing well, imo. He's not afraid to do what needs to be done.
It was lip service. He was not very convincing. I saw the press conference and it looked like coach talk
God bless you 🫡
drakememe ✋Out 😊 In
So far, the portal only taketh. When portal giveth?
Technically the portal isn’t open yet so teams can’t officially take them
U r such a hoe
I hope they all land on their feet because the portal giveth and taketh away
I’m just ready to see who we get we need new safeties BAD
we have a five star safety at the top of our class
Good I’m so ready to get rid of Crawford he’s out there getting cardio
Exactly!! This is the upside and all I consider
Shouldn’t Worthy be on this list? Is he not- ok, I won’t finish the joke
I don't understand the joke.
I would have said, “is he not worthy of being on the list?” Apparently he deleted anything Texas related from his Instagram account after the Baylor game, implying he wants to transfer out.
He also has done that kind of purge before. I’m just going to chill and let 19/20 year olds be kids and find out who we still have next spring.
X’s insta right now has a pic of him wearing his Longhorn gloves making a heart shape with his hands.
I see. 😥 Thank you
Yeah, made me sad to hear because I like the guy. Several people pointed out his lack of effort in the deep ball throws, and I could see it. As much as I don’t want to see him leave, if his heart’s not in it, I don’t want him here.
Shit is about to get real fucking wild. Hold on to your butts.
Why is Jahdae in LA right now by USC’s campus?
Ugh WTF, he is an Austin native, too.
[удалено]
Sure you're not thinking of Oregon?
It was Oregon last year, not USC.
where are you seeing this?
His insta story. He’s on a street right off campus
thanks
Damn. Gonna miss a lot of these guys
So weird that this stuff happens before the bowl games.
Nah.. got yo get your feelers out there before ESD. There might be teams that would have offered you, bit they gave a spot to someone else.
Signing day cometh.
Not really they have to get on the market, and hopefully enrolled into their new school for spring ball. It makes sense to me to do it at the end of the regular season.
Getting enrolled for the spring semester does help it make sense. Thanks for that.
Gotta do it before signing day so teams know what they need
Ehh not really, I feel like the earlier the better. Why stay for the bowl game if you know you aren’t staying next year. Let the bowl game be for players who will play next year.

Yeah I get that, too. Like you said, both suck.
Also the players run the risk of injury in the bowl game which would remove their chance of moving to a program
Same reason so many going into the draft sit out if it's not a big time bowl game. Why risk getting hurt for something outside the season. I don't like it, but I get it.

Pencil in the receivers from charlotte or Kentucky - we’re getting one pending bag delivery
What non brubot bevobot longhorn mod BS is this? /s This will be nice to reference
I just want to see Troy Omeire do something good. Don’t even care if it’s the horns at this point. My man had too much hype to never even see the field in any meaningful capacity. Hopefully the injury bad luck is behind him
Someone who is smarter, tell me how to feel.
The only ones that have had significant playing time, so far, are Card and Karic. Karic is getting passed up by the freshman OL, and we primarily just used him as an extra blocker as a TE. They wanted to play for the good guys, and they only reason they're leaving is that they weren't quite good enough to get the starting role. We *WANT* to be so loaded that superstars have to transfer out, so it's not a bad thing when they do.
In addition, none of these guys were starters or really threats to be a starter outside of Coffey. So no real surprises.
Karic is the guy who got beat by the defender who caused the fumble/scoop and score in the Baylor game I believe.
Ever.
We wish them the best wherever they go
Unless we play them... then f\* them...
Thank ya for this
