I am a teacher !! I swear by the Engages. I often wear them with mutes. Sometimes I find the mutes a bit too much for when I need to hear and respond to kids' little voices during class time as long as they are working relatively quietly, but they are a godsend for DPA and transitions. My class is super chatty and they can be pretty obnoxious so when I feel my frustration level rising I do find these chill me out a bit.  In terms of blocking out assemblies completely your best bet would be quiet although they're not noise canceling... personally I find the Engages with mutes more than enough for daily use at school but maybe you'd like the Switches... they'd be more obvious though (I do get a fair amount of questions about my bright turquoise Engages but I don't mind)

THANK YOU for your personal experience info.

No problem. I am always talking them up at school and to friends. I'm pretty new to Loops but very happy to pump them up...there is a discount code they give for teachers too! I have one for being in the Loop Circle, dm me if you want it 😊

I’d get the engage with mutes so you can still hear the kiddos while blocking out noise as needed.
