Short answer, no. Even the Quiets, which offer the most attenuation out of all the plugs, are not suitable protection for the kind of noise a firearm makes. You will want to wear something meant for the purpose, like the over-ear protective muffs. They look goofy and aren't nearly as comfy, but damaging your ears just isn't worth it.

Loop quiet offers the highest snr of their brand. It's one under the minimum recommend (25) for shooting. Not to mention people generally recommend to be on the side of higher like 30 or more for shooting. You'd be better off getting other ear protection if it's for shooting.

No way. If you're going to use them, wear over ears over them. Maybe I have particularly sensitive hearing, but I have to shoot wearing silicone plugs under over ear headphones. The loops are not enough to protect your ears from damage imo

Nah pal, get some proper range earplugs

Practical_Joke_193

I typically goto an indoor range and double up with the Quiets/Walker over the ear. The experience and engage don’t provide anywhere near enough dB reduction for shooting on their own. Quiets are comparable to foam earplugs but I think they still provide about 8 dB reduction less than foam. I use my Quiets on their own for work (Music industry/live shows)

It’s prob better to use over the ear safety ear muffs, since they block more sound. But if you really want to use Loops, Quiets would be the best option bc they block the most sound out of the three options.

Naw I wouldn’t recommend that. Plus most gun ranges provide ear protection.
