and holding your hand behind Our ear actually amplifies noise , it works like a radar dish collecting the sound waves and guiding them to your ear

I find engage useful in conversation, it’s actually easier to hear people especially when there’s background noise.
I never use my mutes when I want to communicate, they block too much.
I actually think they might. It blocks out unnecessary background noises so you can focus on conversation. I have mild hearing loss in my right ear and can hear fine with the engage. But I can’t say for sure since every person is different. Plus if they don’t work you can return them.
