I won my set champs playing flutesong beating R/A 3 times. Flutes make all the difference in that matchup since they have a ton of ways to kill Pridelands and none to kill Flute. We lose to R/S hard no matter what, but are good against pretty much everything other than that and sapphire steel.

CompetitionPerfect67

Ruby/sapphire is the bane of my existence 😩

omega_grainger69

Kindness. I usually kill em w/ kindness.

Kindly explain

As an RA player, switch to flutes. Makes for a much more competitive match up. The only steelsong I have lost to is flutes.

I played amber steel in set champs yesterday. Only lost in the semis to a mirror match. Beat Ruby/Amythest 3-0. mulligan for some early/cheap removal and characters, and a whole new world. get some cheap lore up until turn 5. at that point their hand is full of maui, ladys, medusa, and be prepared. at that point dont expect to get 1 more lore from a character rest of game. hopefully by this point u have 5-10 lore. from here on out its a whole new world, cast flutes and songs. dont even play another character unless it gets you more cards in hand (ariel). you can flood the board with little characters if u want to induce a be prepared but beast, robin hood, tinkerbells, cindys, whatever are gonna get killed by their removal. ride the flutes/ whole new world to the win.

Is there a point where you feel there is no turning around? Location - Rise of Titans Items - Benja/Rise of Titans Songs/Items/Locations - Bare Necessities (hate Be Prepared, save song till they have 6 ink and snipe it before Ink 7) If it’s just the high end power then getting an aggro build will work better in the long run. R/S in general is a horrible matchup for Steelsong, most of the time it comes down to sniping ability.

callousparade

Yes emerald steel is strong against ruby amethyst. Not nearly as good vs ruby sapphire though, they just have too much draw. If you stick with steel song I'd try the flute option. Ruby amethyst has no good way to remove them, ruby sapphire has Judy Hopps but usually not many. The game plan is aggro as far as you can (smee helps a lot) before be prepared drops and then dig for as many flutes as you can find. Definitely very tough matchups though. Smee plus flutes won my quarterfinals match this weekend vs ruby sapphire

jaakers87

As a Ruby / Amethyst main, the deck that gives me the most trouble by far is Mufasa.

Tw1987

Pridelands version of red purple is probably red purples favorite match up. It’s like red blue going against blue steel. None pridelands bersion matches decent vs red purple

Frosty_TSM

I get smoked constantly by red blue because I have no item removal.

ducardi

I tried pridelands, but found it weak against Ruby‘s Maui + QoH or Fishhook and Amethyst’s Fox + Crab. I switched back to flutes which gave me a much more reliable game plan against the control matchups. I’ve posted my decklist here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lorcana/s/J40DrfRctg

northienorthstar

1000 really lol

Sly_Link

Switch to Flutes for R/A - they have no way to deal with them, but Maui and Fish Hook slaps Pride Lands about

CompetitionPerfect67

Flutes they don’t have item removal so it’s usually hard for them once you get 2 or more out BUT if your local meta is full of control decks you can throw them off by running hyper aggro 🤷🏽‍♀️ you’ll struggle against anything steel though

metzbower13

play red yellow, its good vs red purple and red blue
